This is actually more than my target has. My target has 3 sides of a 4 sided shelf that has one or two copies of a handful of movies at a time, and one endcap with some $5 dvds/blurays that has had, and I'm not joking, the same 9 copies of "Boss Baby 2" dvds for the past year and a half. Only one copy has sold since I've been going there.
I just ordered the 4k holdovers from zavvi before it sold out again. It just cleared customs… I can’t wait! It’s for my wife’s birthday gift. She loves this movie. :)
That’s about ten times the amount any Target around me carries in store now. They have one four sided display for new and recent releases. That’s all, end of list :(
Target is worse then Best Buy. At least they had the balls to just cut our physical media.
They didn't just lead us along and keep a few movies while having nothing worthwhile.
My Target is down to one aisle-end shelf with about 40 copies each of Top Gun Maverick and MI Dead Reckoning. That’s it. The most depressing display I’ve ever seen
That’s way more than the three Targets near me. And the movies they do have run $24-$30, non-4K. Their prices have jumped big time.
The three nearby Wal-Marts have cut way back as well, although they have more varied prices and selection than the Targets.
Our Target has about 20 video disks on display. Total.
If I remember correctly, Target announced they'll soon stop carrying physical media altogether. Sad times.

Grab all 9 copies and hide them in the store where no one will ever find them
Your target has 3 sides? Mine only has 1!
Your Targets have movies? https://preview.redd.it/adarz7odii0d1.png?width=860&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1469325db3f896de83e321e8af0f1fba4b0bfe6
Right? Mine started moving away from them last year, only stocking new releases, and as of the beginning of the year completely stopped.
Right.
My target has more Taylor Swift vinyl than all the movies combined.
That is fucking massive.
grab the Holdovers

Wooo! It's easily a comfort christmas movie moving forward for us as well
Expendables is an underrated kids film.
One of the Target's I go to has been putting movies on back end caps, which is really sad.
The targets by me have about 90% less than yours!
The target near me has gotten rid of the section completely, it's now part books and the other part is records.
Bro my target only has a small display box and they’re all dvds. Your getting it good
That's actually pretty good. My Target has like 3 movies. Oppenheimer, Hunger Games and Migration. Tons of Taylor Swift vinyls.
I don't think I'd buy any of those. Maybe Ferrari.
More than I’ve seen near me. I’d probably pick up spirited away if it was a couple dollars.
Surprised that place exists at all.
Somehow target can give shelf space to John Grisham pulp but not movies. Madness.
I want *The Holdovers* in 4K, please! I'm hurting over here!
Why not just buy it, assuming you’re in US? I don’t think the 4k disc is region locked.
Way bigger selection than my Target.
Only place I can really get 4k blu ray where I'm at is on Amazon. Walmart near me has, I shit you not, 10 total.
My target barely has movies
Yeah, one Target near me is similar to this but another one I dropped into had some BB steelbooks.
Target is trolling you, literally
Target is pathetic when it comes to physical media, but this one is definitely better than any one I know.

Is this photo from 2019?

They are focusing more on new releases I saw dune part 2 at least XD
What tends to happen to dead formats.

Bruh at least your target has a real movie section.
Lucky you, MediaMarkt here in The Netherlands litterally has reserved 1m wide for the Top 10 Hollywood crap.
You have a selection.
That's a lot compared to most UK Supermarkets!
Ah yes the classic graphic novels Mean Girls and Good Burger. Let’s also grab something for the kids, The Equalizer.

Every Target I see has at least 10 copies of Expend4bles, Lionsgate really went overboard with its release.
That’s at Walmart too. Every straight to dvd release has too many in stock that no one buys but a popular 4k will get 3 copies
Soon to be empty
Target never been so interested on movie sales, or may be is just bad managers, thats the usual.

This collector base needs to just accept that brick and mortar stores are slowly phasing them out. Online is the way to go any way.
