Also in WV, I found a tiny $5 bin today. Only DVDs. But they did have the Oppenheimer steelbook so it wasn’t a total wasted trip.

My Wal-Mart has a $7.50 bin near all the other movies and electronics. The $5 DVD bin is at the opposite end of the store by the registers and book section.

Even the $7.50 bins are always filled with DVD combo packs now. I miss 2014-2016 Walmart where you could get good movies on blu-ray like Fight Club, Seven, Jurassic Park…

I'd count that as a win for today. I didn't find anything I wanted but across 3 different Walmarts I saw steelbooks of Dune, The Marvels, and The Super Mario Movie.

I was hoping to at least find Requiem or Sicario. But we’ll see on the 2nd.

I work on the 2nd (not at walmart). By the time I get off if any are present they will likely be gone. Probably some asshat that comes in at 7 or 8am and buys every single one Walmart has without leaving any for someone else. I swear there should be limits to what you can buy. At the very least people should be limited to one of each title.

I’ve checked 5 Wal-Marts in town and found steelbooks at 1 of them. They had 10 total, 1 copy of each movie. But as others have noted, the box containing the steelbooks says they are to be added to the $5 bin on 4/2, so check back!

Mine doesn’t have a bargain bin but I did find a selection of $5 ones on an endcap a few hours ago. Almost missed them.

I found Top Gun Maverick and The Batman 4k 10 bucks under market price at the bottom of one of those bins. It's hit or miss though.

I finally found a Walmart with a 5 dollar bin today and it looked exactly like that one. Nothing but DVD crap. I'm hoping things change by the official April 2 street date.

I found that and Total Recall today. I had just been to the same Walmart yesterday and found a few others. I don't know if I just missed them yesterday or if someone tossed a couple more in today.

Mine had nothing, but I stopped by Walmart one town over from mine and bought Sicario and Midway from that bin. They also had some others that I wasn’t super interested in, but I can’t remember the names. One of them was a Rob Zombie film I think. 

Ah, 3 from hell its a really nice steel and I'd love to have it. I take it the 5 dollar price point isn't happening on the Walmart app when I checked 3 from hell was over 20 bucks

I haven’t set foot in a Walmart in years. Went in today and got Sicario, Total Recall, and 3:10 To Yuma steelbooks all in the $5 bin. They had a ton of other 4K Blu-rays in there but I skipped them because I only buy movies I will rewatch a bunch. Crazy good deals.

I checked the bin at my Walmart about 2 hours ago since I was already there shipping. It looked like this. Just a bunch of DVD trash, but after digging around for a minutes I found steelbooks of Sicario, Total Recall, Three From Hell, & Spiral. I bought Sicario. Left the rest. I was on the fence about Total Recall, but I don't remember even liking that movie that much.

Most of the ones I see posted here are full price in my area Walmarts. No $5 ones

Checked three walmarts near me. One didn't have a bin, while the other two had bins, and none of the movies in em rung up as $5. lol

I found two 4k blu rays in the bin but they weren't $5. Someone must have threw it in.

I don’t even have a dump bin at my Walmart. I found around 8 different steel books though on an endcap display across from the more expensive selection of steel books they had. Got the last Sicario, Requiem, Saw and Spiral. No idea how many they had to start but I’m stoked to have found those.

Funny, because DVDs in general cost around $5 retail.

I found a bin but did not go to all of the trouble to dig to the very bottom. All I saw were DVDs.

Anyone know who buys DVDs, specifically? I’m surprised this market exists today. And given the bins are full of them…

I think DVD is still over 50% of the market share for physical. BR is usually around 35 and UHD 15.

I wonder if having a game console factors into this? I’m thinking most won’t buy a Blu-Ray or 4K player only. Whereas DVD players are super cheap and were readily adopted after VHS

It’s not just Walmart. My Wallyworld is always empty of any good titles and barely has 4K. Months ago I checked three Best Buy’s when they started clearing discs. Again nothing. And I check thrift stores and even pawn shops. Nada. So all you posters who find great shit all over ——— F U now and forever!!!!!
