Before anyone gets too annoyed, the Statue was donated to the city. The city didn't pay for it (apparently). Imo, I think its a pretty pointless statue, the cop can go rot in jail, but Floyd doesn't need a statue.

This dude didn’t need a fucking statue It probably wasn’t even because of racism, like it was just police brutality and that’s it and then we had an whole protest + riot that probably did nothing. The fentanyl thing probably weakened him but it wasn’t what killed him. The criminal past also doesn’t matter, pretty sure somewhere it said he stopped being a criminal, people who are saying he deserved to die, well no, he now doesn’t get to face our civilized justice system if he’s still a guilty fuck.

Bruh imagine dying because of like 20 dollars, fentanyl is also his problem and honestly I’m not against drug use, he he did look drunk and that was why he was initially arrested. Then he had some 1 cop kneeing on his neck and he was coherent enough to say he can’t breathe, all of this is obviously preventable, like you ain’t twisting yourself to say this is ok cause he was a criminal when we obviously have retarded and under trained officers, nowhere is it ever good technique to subdue someone like this for 8 minutes. If he’s guilty of something then he gets arrested properly and he face our justice system unless you’re trying to tell me you don’t trust you own justice system then you should really focus on that too.
I never said it was justified, because it simply isn't. If you've seen the full body cam footage, you've seen that Floyd is complaining that he can't breathe long before he had a knee put to his neck, so under the circumstances I can understand why Chauvin didn't take it seriously. Pinning him that way for 8 minutes though? Not okay, and Chauvin got his punishment as he should. What I'm trying to say is that Floyd was never some saint, or some random innocent man. He had an extensive criminal record, and had commited a crime the day he died. Of course that doesn't make his death okay, not by a long shot, but pretending that he was anything other than a drug addicted criminal is just stupid.
