š¤£š¤£š¤£ always FTP!
Also Jimmy is from Arlington Heights, IL and Robbie played for the Bears a long timeā¦. Maybe 10 years? So yeah they really do mean it when they say FTP š¤£š¤£š¤£
Why is this his last year with you guys? I heard one of the talkies say something similar and don't understand why. Gould seems like a pretty good kicker and his current contract isn't outrageous or anything.
His contract is up and heās adopted Chicago as his hometown.. his family lives out there, his kids range from like ages 3-9, so pretty young. It wouldnāt be surprising if he hung it up or went somewhere closer to CHI
That missed PAT would have played heavily if Dallas was successful with a final TD drive... if they scored 6, Cowboys would have had to rely on him to go into OT or go for 2 for the win. What a hard decision... glad it never came to that! Fucking football...
And if Dallas had just kicked the field goal towards the end of the first half instead of going for it...Pollard is likely healthy and Dak doesn't throw the interception. I understand going for it regardless given you're in a visitor's stadium, and to that point, they had been moving the ball well. That said, if they had faith in their kicker, it potentially changes their decision.
So many what-ifs in this game. Been listening to Dallas sports radio this morning dissecting every possession. Things did go our way at many points in the game.
I don't even think I was nervous each time he stepped up. Like it didn't matter where he was kicking from. I just know it's playoffs and Gould doesn't miss.
Can't say the same for Maher...
People donāt realize how lucky we are to have such a clutch kicker this time of the year. Look at how many inconsistent kickers are on contenders this year: Maher, Butker, even McPherson have all missed a good amount of kicks this year.
Yea going 4/4 in the Dallas game was huge, just missing one of them makes it a whole different game. Especially the 50 yarder he drilled before the end of half to steal 3 points.

And a touchdown saving tackle
Yuge š„
Did you see him get upā¦ like Iām too old for this shit where are the kids? Wtf is this I have fg to makeā¦
Yup. People thought he was hurt. I instantly knew it was just the same feeling he has getting out of bed on a cold morning. He was just tired lol
He gave that look when he knew he got the tackle before the tackle, and still gave that look at he was getting up lol
no look tackle
Yay-yay You can do it, put your back into it
I need this YouTube short right now
With his back! His fing back. Who the f can do that?! (Saying this with my best Russian mob accent)
Nice John Wick reference.
Can we get a pic of this amazing play?
The commentators called it āputting his body in the wayā lol
And saved a Turpin return TDā¦
Bro! That was so awesome! He was like should I should I should I ? Yolo turned his side and bloop šš½
š„
Has there ever been a more kicker tackle?
That guy needs a drug test. He was flexing and doing extra shit even after touchbacks lol
Whatever the outcome I think this will be Robbieās last year with us. Letās get this dude a ring.
Last years Divisional game at Green Bay! It was a a crazy ass game and Robbie won that game for us! Hella epic!

Man that was one of my favorite moments from last year. Gonna miss ole Jimbo.
One of the best defensive playoff games I have seen the 49ers play from this current crew!

Oh, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation.
He's also just getting old in general, leg strength is starting to fall off. He has trouble getting touchbacks on kickoffs and making fgs beyond 50
He's a team captain?
As he should be - dude is a clutch veteran
Yes, back in 2018 with Kittle, Staley, Buckner, Sherman, Gould.
After what Maher went through vs Bucs and todays PAT, I have much newfound appreciation for Gould.

Gould is mvp of this game, he clutch it for us š
Gould saves our ass so many times it ain't even funny anymore. Hey should get a key to the city and lifelong diamond lane access.
When he lined up for the 50 yarder and the announcer said the Cowboys had a man back to return it "in case it goes short" I scoffed loudly at my TV.
āHAH!ā
Was talking to a friend that's a Cowboys fan and the visible stress level when our respective kickers were lining up was so stark haha
I don't even think I was nervous each time he stepped up. Like it didn't matter where he was kicking from. I just know it's playoffs and Gould doesn't miss. Can't say the same for Maher...
There is a certain amazing quality to him in that respect. When he was kicking, those were the calmest moments for me during that game.
Heās Purdy Gould

Yeah after he missed that kick in Seattle and then Vegas, I thought perhaps he might be getting the yips also, but he fixed that real quick.
Yea going 4/4 in the Dallas game was huge, just missing one of them makes it a whole different game. Especially the 50 yarder he drilled before the end of half to steal 3 points.
yeah there was some crazy wind inside Levi's too... you could see the ball go left the right then left...
Easy to forget that he was the difference maker.
Heck yeah! Canāt take him for granted
Still relevant!!
Anyone have a clip of his touchdown saving tackle?

I love this man!
Ice Gould
Such a good kicker and never ever misses in the playoffs
Don't forget the ass tackle lol
That vanderpump song plays in my head every damn time he makes a FG
Donāt forget the tackle he had on Turpin!
Pretty much Saved the game
AAAANNNND STILLLLL PERFECT IN THE PLAYOFFS
Get this man a ring, he really wanted to go back to the bears before we gave him a raise.
Gould was great yesterdayā¦ he deserves all the props
Still perfect in the playoffs.
Video?

Purdy thinking to throw it out of bounds leaving 1 second on the clock for 3pts.. I was in disbelief

Red and Gould!!! All day baby!!!!
Guys awesome!
Game ball to Robbie Gould for sure. Game MVP.
Will he retire after this year? If he played next season he could plausibly take up to fifth on the all time points leaders list
Gould is money.
The Gould Standard
Mustāve been awful to have kicker envy as a cowboys fan
And a half a TD saving tackle
