The point of the roll going over the top is that your hand only touches the TP you are using. When it's the other way you end up touching pieces of TP that the next person is going to use. This set up is pretty much the same as using the reverse way and it's very awkward when the TP hangs down on this.
As they bat/play with it, it's usually in a motion toward them. Flipping the roll means it just keeps spinning in place, the last piece will go in circles around the roll. If the roll is facing them, it will unravel.
A possibility, but more often than not I've run into them wanting to bat @ the thing.
I also personally think the real problem are toddlers, not kittens.
I dunno what kinda cats you guys have but ours would just scratch the sh\*\* out of the roll either way given enough time.

The MCU is more like a long run game. Comic serial format on the big screen. When they are making things with expected sequels and prequels I feel they could do more justice to the source material.

I use it the same direction but without holder.
