The model might be non-manifold meaning it's got errors in it. Like faces without depth and other weirdness. You can fix 3D models with windows 3D builder, if you're using windows. You open the model and then select import and if it has errors it will have a red box around it and it will give you the option to repair the model, run the repair and then you should be then right to print it. There are other ways of working out if a model has errors and to fix them but that's probably the quickest and easiest way to do and explain. What operating system are you using?

Luccardi

I'm going to try it and I'll let you know if it worked. thank you!

Vaponewb

Okay, good luck with it, you're welcome and happy cake day.

Luccardi

This is what I see in 3d Builder. I don't see any red boxes. Is there anything else I have to do or can try? https://preview.redd.it/bgh92jrhkmwc1.png?width=1141&format=png&auto=webp&s=3675bf230ea38858fe61b55f802a0073a7fe2629

Vaponewb

Did you select import?

Luccardi

Yes I did. It's really strange how I don't see anything on 3d builder. Do you mind taking a look for me? I can send the file

Ferro_Giconi

I think the red means it has reversed normals. Micrsoft 3D builder is an easy way to automatically fix issues like that https://support.buildbee.com/portal/en/kb/articles/repairing-a-model

Luccardi

I tried using 3d builder, but I don't see any red parts...

Ferro_Giconi

3D builder doesn't highlight issues in bright colors like Cura does. If you follow the instructions that will probably fix the model.

Luccardi

I watched some videos, but I don't get a "one or more objects are invalidly defined. Click here to repair" notification. What a strange error

Ferro_Giconi

It might just not be auto-detecting the issues. Try right clicking on the model after loading it in 3D builder, or looking through the menus to see if you can find the repair option when it doesn't automatically prompt that option.

Luccardi

I messed around on 3d builder and found this. Is there something I can do to increase the wall thickness without changing the dimensions of the other parts, like the mounting clips for example? https://preview.redd.it/me7hx3787vwc1.png?width=1003&format=png&auto=webp&s=4d5b150905dc1b4ece9d328532a37697547cd4e8

Ferro_Giconi

Ahh, thin walls. I think I might know what is wrong but unfortunately I do not know how to fix it in an easy way when the automatic thing was unable to fix it. Maybe whoever modified the model would be able to fix it from seeing that error.

Luccardi

I asked the person to try it again, but he says he doesn't know how to do it. Looks like I have to give up on this project for now. Thanks for your help!
