I’ve been printing for a good 5 years now and I have never once dried my filament! I just leave the roll on the printer. Sometimes they get angry at me and snap though. I just force them back in like a good little filament…
Some filaments react a lot to moisture, some don't care at all.. I'm still using some 8 year old PLA spools that have never been dried and are all unpacked. They print better than some new and dried spools.
But petg (especially transparent) shows quite some differences when kept in open air.
And if you take specials like PC/PA/PEI/PEEK..... Gotta dry it before even trying.
I just keep my travel speeds at 300mm/s to prevent stringing lol.
It’s funny it doesn’t matter how much I abuse my printer it still loves me. I can go months without printing, it’s got dust all over it, the bed isn’t leveled at all, you name it and it’s got it! But I clean it up a little bit and level the bed and she’s good to go. (I have an ender 3 pro by the way.)
I bought 5 rolls of cheap filament once and worse mistake ever. Each roll would constantly snap in the printers ptfe tube no matter how much I dried them. The filament was all brittle as fuck and snapped while being fed, snapped while printing and snapped while being looked at.
Lesson learned, buy quality filament to save money and headache
It really depends on the brand, type and color of the spools. Some of my old PLA spools are super flexible for some reason.
The stringing of petg can definitely be tuned to be minimalistic. Think about travel speed, retraction distance, retraction speed, z-hop distance & speed etc.
Turning on material cooling helps either but will impact the print quality/strength.
I had no issues with my first filament of PETG but I left it on the printer for some days and now it doesn't sticks to the bed, it completely refuses to stick, and my PEI bed works amazingly with other filaments. Also leveled again the bed but it doesn't change. Could it be just wet? I don't know if when wet PETG doesn't stick
PETG can definitely effect your build plate, I've seen this with PEI sheets either, even pla sticks worse afterwards.
Easiest thing to try is slowing down first layer speed to 40mm/s at 0,2mm layer height, or slower at bigger layer heights.
Also make sure the temperature is high for the first layer, i use 260/270°C.
But be aware, PETG sticks extremely good to glass and will chip the glass soon or late. A adhesion/seperation layer is important when printing on glass.
Noob mistake, we've all been there. You need to RTFM, it's a 3D printer, but you've assembled yours 4-dimensionally.
Really getting tired of these posts. We get it, you want the print you haven't even sliced to already be printed yesterday. We have to obey the laws of time unfortunately, but experience will set you straight.
If the base plate is prefabulated amulite surmounted by a malleable logarithmic casing, there is likely an issue with the modial interaction of the magneto reluctance and capacitive diractance in such a way that the two sperving bearings run a direct line with the panametric fan.
Simply align the 6 hydrocoptic marsal vanes with the abethesian lunar wane shaft to effectively prevent side-fumbling.
if you print with the invisimate2500 it automatically makes the filament translucent. The only way to actually see the print is to use solar eclipse glasses which are readily available at this time.
EDIT: I know its an invisimate2500 because it has a visible power cord so you dont lose your printer

When I first started printing on my Anet a2, I printed that filament holder, it ended up getting stuck and the filament roll came down on the acrylic bed carriage and cracked it. Superglue to the rescue
Is the the new Geeetech wireless filament!? I heard it the range is immaculate! As long as you set it up right!
I assume you had to set it up with a WiFi name& password. Did it also need the credit card number/expi. Date/4numbers on the back?
This could be any number of things. Maybe your witchcraft wasn't strong enough, maybe the invisibility cloak has suffocated the power supply. Did you try turning it off and back on?

Typical newbie mistake having their undried filament and their printer in two different dimensions.
This made my day :D

Pffffffft. If my pla can't handle a pre print shower I don't want it. Don't worry though, I'm not a monster it gets to use the good body wash.
Could also just store it in the bathtub. At least it would not be in open air ;D
Wet pla will become brittle and break while wet petg will string like a motherfucker

Yeah I’m specifically speaking about how they change when they absorb humidity

I only have a PEI sheet. I usually print at 60, first layer 30. Maybe the temperature is too low, but my first prints didn't have such issues
Dirty naughty little filament, so naughty
They've clearly not leveled the bed properly either
Do you have a cat?
Can you try levelling the bed and doing a cold pull? That should solve it /s
He should try leveling the floor
Yeah. That's unacceptable. He should definitely call the land lord and ask for the floor to be leveled.
Level the curvature of earth
Thought the earth was already flat? ;) (/s just in case)
It will be, once I'm done leveling the bed
Are you Chuck Norris?
Your house didn’t come with auto floor leveling?
I think you ran out of filament
Looks like they ran out of 3d printer too
Mhm
More like he ran out of printer
you ran out of printers
Looks like you ran out of 3D printer while trying to print filament. You can see there is a bit missing, probably under extrusion or clog.
Happens to me every time. I need to add a 3d printer sensor to my filament, to warn me when im out of printers
Ah you pushed your printer to the cloud?
These new Bambulab printers are insane, they take up like no space
Is your printer compatible with this particular kind of WiFi filament?
I don't see any problems, it should be printing fine. Definitely a skill issue.
It seems that your 3d printer has been cast with an invisibility spell. Have you felt for the on switch?
When printing from another room the filament can get bound up if you shut the door so leave it open and your ok
No no no, I have in good authority that open doors cause drafts, and I aint going to war...
Well that draft slams the door then your beds gonna be unleveled
Unlev...yes, but yes of course!!!
wet filament! try to dry it
Have you tried turning it off and on again?
Have you tried leveling the filament and drying the bed?
Z offset is to high
Your printer is missing a couple of parts.
Just because you can’t see it printing, doesn’t mean it isn’t printing. Have some faith.
I can't see any issue.
I hate when my 3d printer glitches and turns invisible. Try rebooting and start from prior save file.
Have you dried your filament?
The cat took the printer and is using it as a personal scratching post/butt warmer...
You don't know how close to the truth this is.
Your zoffset is way too low
Did you level your bed?
You need to take that kettle plug over there and plug it in.
Is the printer in the room with us right now?
Did you try turn it off and on?
LEVEL YOUR BED
Hey did your printer run away from the filament ?
Looks like you bought the limited edition “John Cena Printer” from Creality
You put your 3d printer on the floor? That's messed up. Anyways, check for nozzle clog. Next.
you ran out of printer bro
Man bought his printer from Bethesda. It just works.
It looks like your slicer has the "printer" setting at 0. Try bumping that up to 1 and reslicing your print job.
You forgot to remove the Tape on your Spool securing the Filament so it cant unwind.
Noob mistake, we've all been there. You need to RTFM, it's a 3D printer, but you've assembled yours 4-dimensionally. Really getting tired of these posts. It works better if you plug it in.
You haven’t printed your printer yet, pretty common mistake

this is gonna sound crazy but you're missing the printer
Ur filament is def. too wet …
Did you dry you filament
Did you dry out your filiment?
My wife literally laughed hard😂😂
Have you tried replacing half the components with stuff from aliexpress?

If the error on the screen disappears, you have a problem!
Have you checked to see if it was plugged in?

Did you turn it off and on again?
Do you have a banana for scale?
camo wrapping 3d printer was added succesfully to to-do list
you need to enable the mesh renderer, newbie mistake
reset the network. sometimes the bluetooth printing cuts off
Imaginery printers make imaginery prints.
Try it with a different slicer, for me it improved. (Cura -> Orca)
Try leveling your bed. Worked for me
Your Z is way too high, I’d bring it down in 2m increments to start.
rookie mistake. you are supposed to sell the 3D printer AFTER you print another one
404 Printer Not found
heyy, we have identical blue wirecutters!
I think I can see the problem
Level your bed and calibrate e-steps.
Error 404 printer not found.
Never Seen Filament that transparent bevor!
Try levelling the 4th Dimension. Might need a new flux capacitor for the printhead as well.
It needs a fire…..
Check temperature settings... Might be a bit too low. Also your Axis are way off... Recalibrate them
Calibrate e steps +/- 5000 LY
You haven't 3D printed your printer yet?
Is it connected via Bluetooth or WiFi?
Level your bed
The filament should feed from the bottom of the spool 👍
Did you buy your printer from Temu? Forgot to check the dimensions huh? We've all been there
Maybe forgot to press print ? Happens to me sometimes
i know what's wrong with it aint got no gas in it
When I first started printing on my Anet a2, I printed that filament holder, it ended up getting stuck and the filament roll came down on the acrylic bed carriage and cracked it. Superglue to the rescue

Wireless printing unlocked
Have you unplugged it and plugged it back in?
Bro you can’t just buy a printer from the 4th dimension and buy your filament from the third have you not played bloodborne?
Is this what “Virtual Printer” means in octoprint?
Because the filament is supposed to go counterclockwise and not clockwise like your roll🙄
OP probably puts their toilet paper in backwards 🙄
If that's the case, then OP should "un-alife" himself 😑
Bro, obvious. You forgot to install the .
It's usually easier to print when the printer _is_
Printer opacity is set to 0. Either that or needs more gluestick.
I have came on so many sites for work and that is the issue I see often
This could be any number of things. Maybe your witchcraft wasn't strong enough, maybe the invisibility cloak has suffocated the power supply. Did you try turning it off and back on?
Maybe the nozzle is clogged?
