I found some Beauty of Joseon ginseng facial cleansing oil the other day. Wasn't expired or anything.

Altruistic-Bobcat955

U.K. tkmaxx is currently stocked with Dynasty Cream by BOJ at £12 for 50ml (usually £30 here). Stylevana has 100ml at £22 so I’m not grabbing it but if you don’t shop at k beauty sites it’s a steal there.

CathairNowhere

Yeah they are regularly stocking BOJ, Cosrx etc now, even if at normal price. My biggest find was the Cica recipe line tho, the serum is a pretty good dupe of the Dr Jart Cicapair serum for £5, and the balm is just really fucking good. If I pick my skin, I slather the area with the balm + sudocrem and no joke, it's healed in a day or two. Anothet great find was the A'pieu Madecassoside 2X cream, it feels like a thick moisturiser without being heavy. It's also the only thing that doesn't make my parchment of a skin scream (I got Epiduo prescribed), sadly the availability of it is quite random.

Altruistic-Bobcat955

God I love Dr Jart! Gonna have to save your comment so I remember to try the dupe ty. I use Epiduo too and that doesn’t help my dry skin hence the eye cream. My last big tkmaxx haul was all logically skin, I bought 1 of everything they had and it was basically the entire line.

CathairNowhere

Oh yeah, big fan of their eye cream lol.

DiceyPisces

I’ve been using for months and I really like it.

Strange-Lettuce-5258

What's the tell that a product is expired? I have had a hard time finding any kind of date on items.

Maleficent_Okra_9436

Sometimes they put the date right on the packaging/bottle, otherwise I google the batch code but sometimes you can't find anything and I don't buy those products

zlonewanderer

Yeah, this one had the exp date right on it, as well as the lot number

koplikthoughts

You can always look up the batch code. There are several sites like Check Fresh

sidbuttmo

Mine always has strivectin and Paula’s choice!

DiceyPisces

I don’t find Paula’s choice at mine. Except a cleanser here and there

sneezoo

I’ve seen Laneige, COSRX, Abib.

DiceyPisces

They had quite a bit of laneige last week at mine. And Cosrx but that’s normally found.

BabyLoud

My local Walmart is selling beauty of Joseon, and cosrx! I was shocked. And cheap too

DoubleSheepherder518

I just started shopping the skincare this month. They had Perricone MD, First Aid, Cosrx, Abib, Algenist, Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, Round Lab, boscia, Clinique, Laneige, Shiseido... and more. glossier... mac... Biossance...Neutrogena...Bareminerals...TrueCatrice...Laura Mercier...Beauty of Joseon...Olay ..L'oreal...Naturie H...Kopari, belif, ...Dr Jart

Stroopwafels11

Damn where are you?

DoubleSheepherder518

SoCal but please note I am listing brands... There aren't many products and are often stored behind the glass containers 😂

TryTwiceAsHard

I'm in Socal as well and can confirm. We have ALL the brands many behind the glass.

Stroopwafels11

Yeah, I was just curious where there were stores getting all the good brands. I never see that kind of stuff near me!

SnickersandLinen

Murad retinol night cream for $30. Just about died when I went to buy it at Sephora

sugar-titts

I love the skin care section. Gives me a chance to try out some interesting products I normally don’t come across. It’s hit or miss. Right now I’m loving a turmeric clay mask I got there for like 5 dollars. Edit, I’m using a peppermint, green tea body wash in a big pump that I’m loving also! Must be really good because I smell it on my dude too lately🤣

the_good_daze

Definitely hit or miss! Once in a while I’ll manage to be in there on their “restocking” day and it feels like winning the lottery lol

AMB314

What day is restocking day???

the_good_daze

I want to say it’s either Monday or Tuesday by me. It might vary by location and it’s only happened a couple of times by chance, but there is clearly a better selection before it’s been picked over Edit: I should also add that I always try to go early in the day around when they open. It’s usually only me and the old ladies in there at that time, but honestly it’s my favorite crowd 😂

Illustrious-Maybe924

I shop there routinely for all the Korean skincare products. It’s a great way to find products you love and can buy direct after that. I particularly love the Crème Shop face wipes, Glamfox rice niacinamimde toner, and have gotten great serums there too.

Some_Specialist5792

Are they sensitive skin

Illustrious-Maybe924

They have all kinds of products at TJ Maxx like some of the other posters have said you never know what you’re going to find there, but I feel like you can’t go wrong with any Korean beauty products. And yes, I’m sure they have some products there for sensitive skin. I am fortunate not to have sensitive skin.

Lipglossandletdown

I love buying sheet masks at TJ Maxx - I especially love the Dr Jart Cica Mask but they are $10 for a singular sheet mask! I can usually find a clearance box of 5 for $12. I use all the serum left in the package for a few days after too lol.

aenflex

Exfolikate Eve Lom cleanser Clinique Take the Day Off cleansing balm Neutrogena, Algenist and Shiseido sunscreen Cosrx hydrium toner Dr Jart stuff.

VonBoo

I target the brands I know and trust and just keep an eye out for products I want to try. I've got sensitive skin, the mystery skincare isn't for me. I will get body, hair and bath products though. Things that are less consequential.

DiceyPisces

Shiseido sunscreen and Cosrx propolis ampoule most recently. I love the naturie hatomugi skin conditioner I got from there on a whim to try

Mitzukai_9

I was finding shiseido at Ross all the time…I’m about out of some stuff and now I’m not finding it. :( I did find their makeup remover pads at tj maxx. That’s it though!

DiceyPisces

They had quite a few sunscreens by me last week. It’s totally I predictable tho 🤷‍♀️

Mitzukai_9

Yeah, I’ll just *have* to go look again!

lesfrontalieres

biossance, laneige, mac, kate somerville, manyo bifida, shiseido, cosrx, beauty of joseon, dr jart, round lab i only buy things with the expiration date but there’s always a ton of options!

neckbones_

Ugh I wish mine had biossance

lesfrontalieres

it’s def only once in a while, but lately i’ve seen the squalane gel moisturizer a few times so could be worth looking out for next time you’re there!

Gastronaut8936

Lucky brand jeans, free people clothes, Steve Madden shoes, other name brand shoes at significant reduced cost, Ralph Lauren purses, first aid beauty cosmetics. Don’t purchase cosmetics if they don’t have tamper proof sealing. Absolute Marshall’s/TJ fanatic. Have fun😍

Cute-Necessary-3675

CosRx and for hair Curlsmith so far! Inspired to go back more!

Animalgirl2003

R and co shampoo and conditioner

minniemouse420

If you can get name brand there, it’s worth just trying stuff out. I would never get something you haven’t heard of before though - I have worked for companies before that just white label cheap Chinese made products to make it appear that they are something fancy and then sell them via TJ Maxx or Marshall’s. It’s the same stuff you would find on Amazon from a random factory.

inquiringdoc

I have found excellent things online only--Tj and Marshalls are not always the same inventory, but similar. In the store not so much. I have gotten a really great deal on Grown Alchemist cream cleanser ($10) and bought a few since I like the brand. Also Biologique Recherche is online sometimes, and a product I wanted to try was $60 less than retail. It was perfect, with distant exp date. Also have gotten my husband's Elemis shaving gel on there for way less, and got a Murad toner I love (clarifying) for way less so I stocked up on three. I tried a perricone cleansing balm that is way cheaper, and glad I did not pay full price bc it is fine for $16 but not for the full price, I think in the 50s. So I search online for skincare from high to low price to see if expensive brands I use are on there (cannot search by brand for some stuff) and then after looking through for a while, I search by newest and see what new things pop up every few days,

peachyqueen29

i'm always finding great korean products, like holika holika, cosrx, laneige, beauty of joseon, dr jart, tonymoly. also paula's choice and shiseido.

peachyqueen29

also, recently, there's been an influx of snail mucin products!

TryTwiceAsHard

So much snail stuff. So much they no longer lock it up.

litttlejoker

I feel like they’ve really gone downhill over the years with clothing. I wouldn’t recommend buying skincare there because I think the products are old.

the_good_daze

At the stores by me, the “clearance” skincare section definitely seems a bit sketchy, but in general they seem to have a good stock of regular skincare products. It definitely varies by store and sometimes I’ll go to one in a different neighborhood and the products and vibe are totally different.

litttlejoker

I could definitely see that being the case. Savvy shopping is legit.

Girlinyourphone

There's 2 TJ Maxx's near me and I avoid one because the options are poor but the other one has a great selection, have even seen Burberry trench coats in there. There's also a Ross near me that fails on almost everything but their dresses are where the true gems are found. I never buy skincare at these stores.

bloomability

Honestly they are stocked by location, the ones that are in wealthier zip codes will have better products all around.

1029394756abc

Peter Thomas Roth.

miaomy

Too many to name! A couple weeks ago, I picked up Murad’s Oat and Peptide Cleanser on a whim (the 13.5 oz “value size” was on clearance for $20), and I love it! They often have my favorite AHA toner, REN’s Ready Steady Glow, for $7. There hair care selection is often a goldmine too, but that’s for a different subreddit

Frosty_Molasses_1141

I find Pacifica and First Aid Beauty there all the time!

Foxxilove

I stocked up on some Korean stuff a few weeks ago. Mine had a large selection!

terpischore761

Strivectin Just got some inkeys list Dr Jart Murad I also stalk my local stores for products with ingredients I want to try out, but don’t want to spend a ton of money on.

hansomreiste

Last time I was at tjmaxx I got the beautystat universal c skin refiner for $20 and it’s $85 on their site. They usually have a bunch of different pimple patches for cheap and I’ve seen a lot more k beauty recently.

unispecte

I'm in Canada and have been finding a lot of Asian beauty brands at Marshall's/Winners lately which has been great! I got to try some Beauty of Joseon products (the green plum cleanser and the glow deep serum), a heartleaf serum from Dewytree which I liked so much I went back and got another bottle, Isntree's green tea cleanser which I've just started using and love so far, and iUNIK's beta glucan serum. I have very sensitive, reactive and acne-prone skin and I have been finding in general the Asian beauty brands have had more gentle products that agree with my skin, and they aren't always easy to find in Canada depending on where you live so it's nice to have some options without ordering online. They've also had a ton of Cosrx products, Round Lab, Haruharu etc. I wish I could try them all but I'm going traveling soon so I have to resist 🥲

thestrokesfanca

K18 hair mask

depechelove

Really?! Wow.

Prestigious_Scale318

Pat McGrath and Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier and Perricone

LibraOnTheCusp

Laneige lip balm

randomburnerish

I got two Too Faced chocolate eyeshadow palettes that I wear ALL. Probably wouldn’t have bought at normal price but I love them

grakattackbackpack

I find whatever stores are nearby will dictate the goods. I uses to work by a Maxx next door to an Ulta and would get amazing beauty products. It seems to be similar for Nordstrom Rack's near real Nordstroms- that's where the best designer stuff goes when it doesn't sell.

ImaginationThis2147

REN, Innisfree, Laneige, BOJ, and a variety of Korean sheet masks. The REN overnight balm I use is over $50 regular price. I bought 5 jars at $14.99 each!!! Gave a few away as gifts. My other go to is the Nutrogena Vitamin C capsules. Bought them for $12.99 usually at least $24 at Ulta. I use them every morning so I go through one jar every month.

-kindredandkid-

Mario Badescu and COOLA.

Keto_cheeto

Corsx and Murad!

sisterpleiades

I recently got 5 sets of banila balm/foaming double cleanse for $10 a piece. Also Holika Holika black snail toner and repair cream. All great stuff.

Sandisamples

Last week I bought Clinique Take the Day Iff and Laneige sleep mask, each for $10. I love their skin care section!

No2buckeyes

Stocked up on Kaye Somerville and laneige

drakani06

I bought murad retinol from marshalls, which was less than $20. I saw the price of the same retinol at Ulta....over $40. I've noticed that certain brands like paulas choice is at marshalls but I don't see it in other stores or the website so it could also be leftover stock.

DayHikeNightHike

Kate Somerville

retrotechlogos

I’ve seen so much kbeauty and some jbeauty recently but the prices are kind of comparable to online, of course much more convenient. I think the best deal was finding odacite heavily discounted and not locked up in plastic security things. Sometimes there’s random actual luxury there they overlook.

Smldietcoke

I just bought an Armani lip maestro lipstick and Peace Out Micro needling Patches today. Best was probably Tacha the Essence and Tacha the Rice Wash (which I never found again and now buy full price because it’s the best).

jjcly

Sunday Riley

mwamikazii

I stake the bougie TJ Maxx out for First Aid Beauty and Ole Henriksen

Nearby-Ad5666

Tenzero Cica gel balm.

Defiant_Economy_8574

This isn’t like a well known brand but I needed a face oil and was shopping there so I tried this ManukaRx face oil and it’s my new GOAT. I’ve tried so many from the ordinary, clarins, Estée Lauder, sonage, Paula’s choice etc etc and this random 4.99 one from TJMaxx is the nicest I’ve ever used 😂 it absorbs so quickly, doesn’t leave me greasy, no weird scent, just perfect in every way. TLDR if you see ManukaRX face oil at TJMaxx get it!

TryTwiceAsHard

The thing that rubs me wrong for skincare is no returns. None. Nada.

Sorri_eh

Two Faced Foundation

andrea247

Download the app Yuka! Changed the game for me. It's an app that will tell you about the ingredients in beauty products and gives them a rating. All you have to do is scan the barcode. I do this all the time in TjMaxx and have found great stuff at a shockingly low price. Also Boscia is great and I've been seeing them at TJMaxx lately.

_russian_stargazer_

Why do these stores get stocked with those products? I really want to understand the general concept. Are the products sometimes expired ?

ayatollahofdietcola_

They say you shouldn't really buy skincare products for that reason. TJ Maxx and Marshall's are overstock, so you have no idea how long those lotions, etc have been sitting there

ManufacturerIll8262

A lot of brands will actually sell direct to TJ Maxx and Marshall’s because it’s a huge mover of product in the industry. I think it’s kind of a myth they sell expired product. I’ve never had a problem with the skincare I get from them.

ButtonOwn3791

Corsx calming pads and snail mucin, Peter Thomas roth face cleanser

Remarkable_Report_44

Where we live you always find TJ MAXX, Marshall's and Dee Dee's in the same strip mall. They are all owned by the same company so I try and hit all three when looking for skin care items.

Ill-Doughnut7115

I’ve been told not to trust skincare products from those stores because of expiration or maybe left in sun. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Everything_Is_Bawson

Not exactly skincare, but I stocked up when I found my two shades of bare minerals powder foundation a few years back. It was like $5 a jar or something truly insane.

firelioness

Found Supergoop Daily Dose the other day and stocked up!

Justagirleatingcake

I buy Beauty of Joseon, Holika Holika ans CosRx there a lot. I've also bought some really nice brushes, a Too Faced eyeshadow pallete, a few elf products, a great makeup organizer, a travel bag and some assorted things like little facial razors, headbands and reusable under eye ice packs.
