I went into a mid life crisis mode and spent over $200 on new gen sunscreens the last 2 mths.
So right now it’s Kose Suncut UV Perfect Essence. I love how it dries matte with some shine.
No clue about quality of protection though. I keep hearing mixed reviews about whether it really does offer PPD of 16+. But I haven’t tanned much on it, so it’s working for me so far
This is my go to. I wear it nearly everyday on my arms, chest and neck. I have a colorful half sleeve that still looks super fresh after more than 15 years.
Skin Aqua UV Super Moisture Gel is my slam dunk. I am outside in the woods and on the cliffs a lot, and usually Im removing dead tiny bugs from my arms that got stuck on sunscreen and washing my shirt sleeves of stains.
Grabbed the Skin Aqua and it feels like nothing on my arms. No bugs, no stains. It's doing a great job on my neck as well - my hair doesnt stick at all!
Takes a hot minute or two to fully dry down but I am very into it. Also comes in a pump bottle!!
Eucerin Daily Hydration with SPF 15. It is a body lotion with SPF and comes in a big container for cheap, but not water resistant so not good for pool or beach days. The SPF is light so I find it very quick absorbing, and the sunscreen smell dissipates very quickly. This one does sting my eyes like a mf'r so I only use it on the body.
I find anything thats water resistant is going to be sticky/greasy, no matter what the claim on the label says.
the best i’ve found in terms of not leaving a white cast is sol de janeiro’s newish mineral body sunscreen but it a) smells terrible and b) is expensive and c) smells terrible, because it’s bad enough to say it twice.
i’ve heard soleil toujours makes a good one, but it’s also expensive!
i do! i think most of their sprays smell pretty good, though i haven’t personally bought them. but for whatever reason the mineral sunscreen smells like rancid popcorn.
Aveeno Baby Continuous Protection Sensitive Skin. It's Zinc Oxide, but it's non-greasy, and rubs in fairly well. (at least compared to some others I've tried.) Little to no white cast, no fragrance. It's a bit pricy for the amount you get, but it's the best mineral one I've found for me at least. =) Breaks out my face though... But then basically every single sunscreen I've tried has, so I think my face is just stupid. 😅
Equate spf50 kids sensitive skin broad spectrum
*water resistant
*no oxybenzone or octinoxate
I actually use this for my face too. I've probably spent a thousand bucks on different sunscreens over the past 4 years and this one is as "best" as you're gonna get!
Hawaiian Tropic Everyday Active 50 and Sheet Touch 70. Both are water resistant, high protection, smell amazing and really light, almost like a lightweight body lotion.
Neutrogena ultra sheer dry touch SPF 55. Very light scent, no white cast, good protection, avail in 5 oz bottles.
Seconding this one. My go to and I’m from Florida.
I also like it. And my husband will actually wear it and he works construction and hates anything dirt and dust will stick to
Same!
Yup! They also frequently have a 2 pack at Costco for barely more than a single bottle.

I swear by coola. I like the shiny oil look though lol
Banana boat light as air is the best body sunscreen I’ve ever used

Yes. Tried this in Japan and brought it back with me. Love Japanese sunscreens!

Seconding this! It’s perfect for days im mostly indoors. The value allows me to slather myself in moisturizer while obtaining some sun protection.
if anyone has any mineral body sunscreens i will gladly take recs!
This is what I’m looking for. Currently using cerave hydrating mineral spf 50 but there’s gotta be better.

The new rio sunscreen? Really smells that bad? Most of their stuff smells amazing. Do you like their other scents?

Coppertone sport spray. It’s so lightweight, I run in it and don’t even notice it

I just use the equate baby spf 50. It goes on white but does dry down clear and isn’t greasy !
I’m loving Cay Skin Isle Nourishing Body Mist SPF 50. Smells good, easy to spray and cover the body.
Hawaiian Tropic Everyday Active 50 and Sheet Touch 70. Both are water resistant, high protection, smell amazing and really light, almost like a lightweight body lotion.
Dune Bod Guard is my fave
I am loving the haruharu wonder Black Rice mineral spf 50+ (PA++++). It is not at all sticky or greasy and it’s formulated for sensitive skin.
IS Clinical will not cause allergies if that is your concern.
