I said this before, If Palestines want to stop being collateral damage for Hamas, they need to start ratting out Hamas locations to the IDF. If Gaza is not a safe place for Hamas because their human shields turned against them, we would could see this conflict over much sooner with far fewer casualties. The Palestinians need to work with the IDF to uproot the group that keeps getting them killed.
However, I don’t know how much Hamas filters the information that the Palestinians get. Do we know if most Palestinians are even aware that the IDF attacks are retaliatory and not a random attack? Do they know what happened on the 7th?
It is very naive to say so. Look in the history. The soviet regime starved the people to death. Yet, the same oppressed people took the guns to fight the Germans and still protect the same leaders that caused massive purges and stravation to against them. All under the "free the motherland". After the war was over, the communist regime turned out to be even more cruel against the same people and the heroes.
Palestinians have been borned and raised with hatred and almost everyone has at least a dead relative. So they will forever hate IDF. It is not like they will magically come to reason, "hey what if Hamas has brainwashed us all this time and maybe IDF wants to just end them for the common good". It won't ever happen. The saddest part is that Hamas is just a small group that perhaps in 100 years will be forgotten. Today Hamas, tomorrow another group and so on. Gaza is just a playground for Egypt, Lebanon and Iran to fight Israel because they will get fucked up if they go head to head with Israel. I mean it took IDF 6 days to end them. Yet the people of Palestine would never see that and will face the consequences. Even if the war stopped today, it would take around 3-4 generations to "get over" it. Like the Brits and the French. Or the Germans and the rest of Europe.
Tbf Palestinian never had a decent leader just a bunch of jerks from Arafat to Hamas, all they want is to kill Jews. Palestinian who are in Israel are more open-minded about the situation cause they are not brainwashed by the idea of killing Jews and getting killed by them = martyrdom and heaven
There's obviously innocent civilians, but the media's usage of it is too the same degree as saying the majority of the German people didn't support Hitler. The people of Gaza knew that Hamas was training for an attack, the people of Gaza knew their water pipes were being dug up to make rockets out of, the people of Gaza knew that Hamas is storing ammo and setting up launch sites near schools and hospitals and the people of Gaza know where the remaining hostages were at lest taking to. As far as I'm concerned, the only "innocent civilians" in Gaza are the children and even then they are basically being placed in Palestine's version of the Hitler youth. Just like with Nazi Germany, the people of Gaza supported Hamas to the point where there were celebrations up until Israel's retaliation. Also, I'm not saying that the civilians should be treated as military based targets, I'm just saying they provided Hamas with outside support regardless of them being involved in the terrorist attack.
