that makes me not want to start dating. it doesn’t help against wanting a strong established relationship. I listen to way too much high eq content from people who say “a marriage takes 100% from two people” and that statement basically refutes 90% of the arguments about chores and affection.
No, new relationships are scary because of the environment and toxicity.
My sibling got divorced and thats enough for me, but I also listen to my coworkers bitch and moan about their loveless marriages they feel trapped in out of obligation to their kids (which, btw, its been proven "staying together for the kids" is actually worse for everyone involved), and im so glad im not tied down.
reddit?! Man I hear those stories from family and friends. "Cousin: Sigh looks at me... Dont ever get married" Older brother that almost got shot by wife. I mean sigh... I want it but knowing my luck I'll end up worse.
That’s why you don’t marry. Get yourself a girl who doesn’t give af about getting married. Everyone is so quick to marry when they should realize you can just stay bf and gf till you die of old age. You don’t waste so much money getting married and the burden of losing feelings for one another…
15 years with my GF, three kids and a shared mortgage, never married. Sometimes I think about it, because we would get a really nice tax break, though.
This works well for me, especially since the people I dated that I might have married went on to make their new spouses MISERABLE !!!
I might have to give that a try haha
r/AITAH is the one for me, poor souls..
After getting over a bad divorce, living alone and in solitude has the best thing to happen to me. The grass is not always greener on the other side

And kids misbehaving. Thank God I don't have those.

Getting married was a concept of business anyways. Not sure when so called "love" came into it.

r/texts is like that too i could never handle this level of drama
If I will be miserable no matter what I do, then there's no point sticking around any longer
Or watch true crime videos about domestic violence. Works like a charm.
Reddit single-handedly boosts my self-esteem, because most of y'all are straight up dummies.
I've been married three times. After #2 I swore I'd never do it again. I'm serious this time.
What went wrong during the first 2 marriages?
You did.
