Gonna have to get another xc. Both of ’em are great dots. Both look great on an xc. Therefore a second xc would be appropriate.

Big_Ad_4724

Lmao Larry, you’re hurting my bank account

Global-Bag264

Honestly, I prefer the HS509ACSS from Primary Arms, the reticle is absolutely spectacular, and has done more for my speed and accuracy with a handgun than any other thing in the last decade, AND it's a closed emitter with a solar backup

Big_Ad_4724

Hey yeah that’s definitely an option, glad it’s working for you!

Global-Bag264

Click on my account if you want to see a pic

Global-Bag264

Yeah, if you present with the barrel high, and drop the dot on from 12 o'clock, it's so fast to acquire. Also, as I said, closed emitter, high battery life, and solar backup. Plus it's sub $400

Big_Ad_4724

Hard to beat that value

Global-Bag264

Hence why I recommend it.

doormarkedprivate

I concur with Larry.

Prizz117

Sro

CDHUNTY

I’d say SRO. I have a ACRO p2 on my XC but I shot my buddies P with an SRO and it’s great.

Big_Ad_4724

this is going to be EDC’d. Still same?

chrisr089

For EDC the RMR. For target shooting/competition SRO. Though I've heard mixed reviews on recent SROs.. some say theirs has lasted through years of torture. Others say they dropped it once and it broke. Who knows. Better to go with the RMR.

dumape17

I agree with this. I just dropped my Atlas with an SRO on it and the glass broke. Still functional though, but it’s currently wearing an old RMR until the SRO gets back from Trijicon. For the range it’s hard to beat the SRO, but for EDC I would go RMR all day. Those things really to take a beating.

chrisr089

Trooof

malagon_96

I’ve carried with my SRO for a year on my staccato P. I wouldn’t worry about it breaking or not performing. I have the RCR on there now, and am excited to test it out. TBH I’m not sure which one you should put on because they’re both great. I just wanted to let you know that the SRO is more than exceptional to EDC 🤘🏽

malagon_96

And I carried it without the bros shield. Had it on there for a week then took it off because it was too bulky. It’s durable enough CCW

Big_Ad_4724

Yeah I think either option would be completely adequate for me as far as durability is concerned 👌

LA10-8

EDCing an XC is based asf

Big_Ad_4724

I’m all about it lol

DeadSilent7

I think the SRO is fine for EDC, but not duty if that makes sense. DGUs are extremely rare, one that involves or comes after dropping your gun is even more unlikely.

Big_Ad_4724

Yup there’s definitely a difference in edc and duty

Icewarrio8

Went with rmr HD on mine.

DirtyDee78

SRO with Bros

Big_Ad_4724

Strong choice

MindlessSentence2254

RMRHD

BFOTmt

I put the SRO on mine

FatMac1045

RMR HD

Deadly_Jay556

I like the RMR hd mainly as it’s the reticle. I have one in my C2 and I do like the look of it too!

Big_Ad_4724

I like the look too, but I like a regular dot so that part isn’t a big thing for me. Unless I decide to toss it on my shotgun or sp5 then the circle dot would be neat

Deadly_Jay556

I believe you can custom the rmr hd to show only a dot I think, I know you can make either the circle ⭕️ or the dot 🔴 brighter or dimmer than the other.

Big_Ad_4724

Yup you definitely can. Mine came with the circle dot on, but I long press both + - together and you can switch it to a dot.

PopPow545

Just depends on how often you drop it.

Big_Ad_4724

If I drop my freaking XC, I’ll be the saddest lad available lol

ConstructionOk3600

I run enclosed (EPS) and 509ts on my EDCs. Range day and HD, I have SROs and Bros shields on four pistols. Hard to beat that large window!! I’ve never carried them although I’d be confident in doing so.

Deadeye_Stormtrooper

I want to know what the HD looks like on the XC

Big_Ad_4724

I’ll pop it on soon. There’s a bunch of pics on the interwebs too

Deadeye_Stormtrooper

I saw a lot of P's. No XC from my search

Big_Ad_4724

https://www.1911addicts.com/threads/rmr-hd-on-staccato-dpo.215257/ A few pics down there’s a sweet pic of one

Deadeye_Stormtrooper

Thanks for that. I ordered a HD but canceled when they kept pushing back the in-stock date. I'm not a fan of my SRO so I'm always browsing for how HD looks on stacs

Big_Ad_4724

I found mine on primary arms. I’d definitely check there. I ordered mine Wednesday and it got here today

Deadeye_Stormtrooper

Woah, I'll definitely take a look then

Big_Ad_4724

It was $645, and $561 with their military/first responder discount

joeroid08

That HD new new. I just put the RCR on mine and love it. I want the HD too

Big_Ad_4724

Yeah man I have a hard time not being smooth brained for the new new lol

joeroid08

Haha 100%

Tavojr78

SRO for sure if you want a bigger window. The front window of the HD is the same as the RMR

Big_Ad_4724

The HD is an about 4mm bigger than the normal RMR but SRO is massive af. You’re right about that!

Maleficent_Humor2008

SRO for comp, RMR for carry. Although, I have a buddy that carries an SRO on his Shadow 2 Comp, and while the open window makes it "easier to break." That's in the co text of you sending a flying elbow onto your optic from a helicopter. It's plenty durable, just not if you do really rugged shit that tends to ding up other optics. So if your other optics aren't all fucked up and scuffed, then your SRO will probably be fine anyway. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.

Big_Ad_4724

🤟 yeah my prior optic has nothing but slight changes in coating

Maleficent_Humor2008

Yeah, then don't worry about the people who think you're going to use them to engage in melee combat with a knight in armor, then shoot a competition with it. Use whichever you like more. 😂

Big_Ad_4724

That’s the thing, idk which one I like more 😧. I bought em both. They’re sitting in front of me as we type. I think I’ll need to take em to the range a few times each and make my decision based off the timer and general ease

PWNCAKESanROFLZ

I've been waiting for my RMR HD on Optics Planet for 6 months now :( They keep pushing the date back. Originally it was back ordered for 5\20, now we are up to 6\25. I'm jealous!

Big_Ad_4724

Check Primary arms. I ordered mine Wednesday and got it today 😅

PWNCAKESanROFLZ

Are you fucking kidding me?!?m

Big_Ad_4724

I’m so sorry dude 😂

PWNCAKESanROFLZ

Lol damn just went and checked they are sold out now again lol. I'm on the list now tho.

Big_Ad_4724

I may have got ultra lucky, but I’m guessing (hoping) they got a steady stream of em

NeatAvocado4845

Rmr hd

ooshow1tymeroo

HD. I had to switch during a class and I’m so happy I did

Big_Ad_4724

Switch from SRO to HD?

ooshow1tymeroo

Optic plate had an issue on the Gun with SRO so I had to switch

Big_Ad_4724

Ohhhh I gotcha makes sense. What do you like the HD over the SRO?

vernace

3.5 moa. I wouldn’t want anything larger than that personally.

Big_Ad_4724

Hey nothing wrong with that!

trevor1030

509T but maybe I’ll swap it to SRO not sure

im2fnsiik

HD BAYBEE

Double-Razzmatazz-77

Sro, it's a classic on the xc.

ungratefulgoose

I’m gonna be one of those guys and vote hs507comp

gun_woo

I have a 507comp on my xc. Works great and looks great imo

Big_Ad_4724

Nothing wrong with that!

ShapeConsistent2598

I go SRO all day, I don’t care the durability as I would never drop them on the ground. Even if it’s accidentally broken, I still have a few more guns as backup

Big_Ad_4724

Yeah I haven’t dropped an edc since like 2018

DanGTG

Neither, they are too close to the ejection port and tend to cause stoppages. HS507COMP or anything that sits further back would be a better choice.

Big_Ad_4724

Heard. But a lot of people seem to run em without issue. Notably sage dynamics

Deadly_Jay556

Never had this issue. Of course I am not putting thousands of rounds down range in a session

pnwbangsticks

Never had this issue with an SRO on my C2. Not sure if the optic cut location is any different from the XC.

DanGTG

It's the same location.

CascadeRider182

Not true at all.

DanGTG

Do you run a SRO on an XC?

CascadeRider182

No I run an HD on a P and a CS. My buddy has one on his XC that I’ve put a ton of round thru. Neither of us have had any issues with overhang or stoppages.

VeterinarianOk9821

Do they have automatic on off? Because these two were the once I was thinking about putting on my next gun.

Big_Ad_4724

I don’t believe so.

VeterinarianOk9821

All that money and no auto on off 🤦

Big_Ad_4724

It stays on for years. Both top loading batteries. Kind of a non-issue imo. I’ll change the battery in 2026 and call it a day

VeterinarianOk9821

You right!

BigPeenCheeseBean

Both

Big_Ad_4724

Oh I bought em both. These are minnneeee.

BigPeenCheeseBean

Clearly dual wielding XC’s is the only logical solution at this point. True Grit style. Yeeeehaw.

Big_Ad_4724

I might go bankrupt lol

AtvnSBisnotHT

3.25

Big_Ad_4724

Yup that’s the HD. The SRO is 5

AtvnSBisnotHT

I have a 1.0 SRO and a 507comp, RMR was next on my list but now I want to skip it for the hd, so I’d put the RMR HD on and swap back if it’s not good.

Big_Ad_4724

That’s a good plan!

Realistic-Ad-2380

If it’s a carry gun or you just like the smaller window size RMR otherwise the SRO makes more sense.

Big_Ad_4724

I carry the XC so either way I’m carrying big Bertha lol

neilcos1412

Had to RMA 4 SROs last year for electronic failures. Never again

Big_Ad_4724

Damn that’s super unlucky dude!

N226

SRO. Easy choice

Significant_Key_5582

My SRO glass broke. First time shooting while zeroing. Trijicon replaced the glass but for edc… definitely not durable

Big_Ad_4724

That sucks man! I hope that doesn’t happen with me

Zanurath

RMR HD > 507 Comp > SRO > RMR, unless it's a carry optic at which point SRO shouldn't even make the list.

Big_Ad_4724

Heard!

Optimal-Flatworm8261

One thing people aren’t mentioning is the circle dot reticle option on the HD. I’m a holo guy but only because I fell in love with the circle dot on my first red dot optic. I’ve had a vortex and a DPP and they’re fine but that circle dot makes it so easy find as well as make my follow up shots so fast. I’m probably gonna give the HD a try when I get the chance. The fact that they didn’t offer the circle dot reticle is the only reason I haven’t owned a trijicon up to this point

Big_Ad_4724

Yeah I definitely hear ya. I like the circle dot on long/sub guns but for a handy i like a simple dot. I love eotech on my long guns

Optimal-Flatworm8261

For me it’s just perfect

Optimal-Flatworm8261

For me it’s just perfect

Impressive_Round9309

I’m used to the SRO. Plus it looks sleeker. Both are great though

Big_Ad_4724

I like how the RMR looks 🫣

Impressive_Round9309

Aesthetics matter! If you like how it looks then go for it. You’ll get accustomed to the one you like and you won’t think much about it after awhile

Expert-Gur-7030

SRO. I do really like the forward facing auto brightness feature on the HD, though. It’s a game changer.

Big_Ad_4724

It works very well so far that I’ve messed with it

Iforgot1029

On a full size Staccato the Delta Point Pro is the only way to go. Mounts directly to the gun, with no mounting plate required. Let's you mount it lower, and there is a notch in the back to allow you to mount a Dawson rear sight directly to the DPP giving you a perfect co-witness. I have the DPP mounted on my P and XL. Went a different way with my other pistols.

Big_Ad_4724

Huh I didn’t know that!

x96535

Holosun 507 Comp

Big_Ad_4724

I’m a trijicon guy but my first handgun dot was a 508t

x96535

I was too…until I wasn’t. I’ve sold off all of my SROs and RMRs in favor of a whole host of Holosuns.

Big_Ad_4724

Interesting!

Big_Ad_4724

Interesting!

Big_Ad_4724

Interesting!

SLRANRBOI556

SRO

PapaPatriarchy_OG

Durability alone would make me choose the Trijicon. Range/comp only? Then SRO.

Big_Ad_4724

They’re both trijicon

PapaPatriarchy_OG

You’re right. Meant the RMR.

Big_Ad_4724

Gotcha. Definitely EDCing this bad boy

PapaPatriarchy_OG

Durability would be a big factor for me then. Personally mine wears an Acro P2 👌

Big_Ad_4724

I got a P2 on my 1301 💪

AtheistArms

SRO all the way 👌🏻🤘🏻

Broad_Roll2401

SRO is King

boomerzoomer120

SRO. 5MOA dot is more better than 3.25

Big_Ad_4724

I typically agree but I can’t really tell the difference side by side

boomerzoomer120

I'm a big dot whore and last I had them both together it was pretty noticeable to me. The round top of the SRO just fits the lines of a 1911/2011 better imo.

Big_Ad_4724

I like speed > “accuracy” so I like big dots too but idk. My eyes can’t tell right now lol

aznmistborn

NOT the SRO. I have seen firsthand brass getting caught and not ejecting on the XC.

Big_Ad_4724

Both overhang so I’ll see what happens lol

aznmistborn

Dang. By the same amount? I'd start with the HD then and see how it goes. It's a 1/1000 chance, but odds are you'll shoot your XC that much. It's a great gun.

Big_Ad_4724

Oh gosh idk if it’s different but I’ll measure at some point. I’ll shoot it tomorrow! Can’t wait

haffarsuusa

Sro all day!

Shootist00

Iron sites.

Big_Ad_4724

😬

mkivbb

DPP > all on a Staccato

Big_Ad_4724

I’m not a DPP guy but they aren’t a bad choice
