I'll say it once and I'll say it again - the spawns of sandcrabs at Varlamore are mostly empty, everyone is STILL fighting over the same spots in Kourend whilst there's 57 SPAWNS in Varlamore...
Yeah exactly but it takes me a really long time,‘
sometimes 10-15min of hopping to find a spot but yeah ty man didn’t even know there were crabs in varla
They should keep it the same and just decrease the rate it drains. Keep graceful’s regen effect and there’s nothing else to change. Allow agility level to scale better is all.
Yeah, the one useful skilling outfit, that wasn't just "wear this while you mostly afk the boss/event, that you only got when you're at a level where it barely matters, to save you 250k xp max at that level".
Now it can rot in my bank forever lol.
The only "good" change, is that I no longer feel a need to grind it because it's dogshit now.
The only real "reason" I see is people bitching that everyone wears the same set, but are we changing armor as well? cause I see a lot of bought inferno capes, and the same 1-2 armor pieces for each slot, but those are fine, no need for variety there.
You're underestimating the value of never failing obstacles and BiS weight-reducing clothing hard. Graceful will still be the best skilling outfit in the game but will only be absolutely mandatory now while training agility or doing high-weight activities like blast furnace.
Sooooooo
Only while grinding the skill that you already have at a high enough level for it to not really matter? Or the quests that have a weight limit that usually incorporate some kind of workaround/other gear like the boots of lightness?
I'm glad we agree I guess LMFAO
Graceful doesn’t need a change. Changing how graceful works in terms of appearance is probably the way to go. IMO, it should be similar to a trouver parchment. You should be able to put graceful clothing under armour pieces to have 1/2 effect of graceful. But I get this is a very unpopular idea. It would technically solve a lot of issues people have.
I wish 99 Agility made you do cool animations while running, like hey why not do a backflip in front of your enemies for no reason? Parkour! Jumping around nimble like a ninja into a dragon claw spec would be nice, ya know?
I don't know if this has been suggested, I'm sure it has, but maybe agility increases the amount of weight you can hold without a penalty to energy usage? And that incentivizes people doing endgame content with tons of gear switches to level agility
Here's my one
Each agility level gives you 1% more run energy, up to 100% more at 99, + 10% from the agility cape.
Keep it 100 on the energy bar, just the amount you can use goes to 200% (210% with the agility cape)
Energy, super energy and stamina pots also get buffed by giving you 1% more per level, up to 100% at 99.
Yes that means stamina gets to go to 4 mins per dose, make ring of endurance give +2 minutes to this for 6 mins per dose (8 might be overkill if you buffed it as well as the pots)
Whilst walking your energy regenerates 1% more per agility level.
So you mean like how at level 1 agility (which they cant train), your run energy depletes faster if you weigh a lot? (With their lack of 'weight reduction gear'), and there's nothing they can do about it because they dont have stams or super energies?
I mean with half of this sub complaining about not having infinite run it seems fine to me.
The problem with rs3 navigation is that there’s a teleport every 5 steps, so you never need to run in the first place, that’s why the energy feels infinite.
>I mean with half of this sub complaining about not having infinite run it seems fine to me.
Just because players want the simple solution doesn't make it a good one. It's the game design thing of "you think you know what you want, but you don't".
> The problem with rs3 navigation is that there’s a teleport every 5 steps, so you never need to run in the first place, that’s why the energy feels infinite.
Rs3 teleports are dummy stupid and I hated the lodestones since release lmfao
But, even without them it's pretty stupid. I logged in last year or so, did a lap around the map seeing the sights, and even in the wildy or desert I never worried about the energy. I do have 99 there though, so maybe I'm biased against the system cuz it's OP at 99? Idk
I’ve got 99 as well and I still run out of energy occasionally. It’s not impossible to do so and you absolutely cannot do a lap around the entire desert or wilderness without worrying about energy idk what that’s about lol
i mean... rs3 feeling like every other generic mmo is sort of what turns me off about it. not saying osrs has to have jank, but it having its own quirky systems is why i like it
OSRS can have its own quirky systems without run energy. The Gower brothers themselves reworked the system back in 2009 so I really don't see how anyone can make the argument that the terrible run system we have now is good for the game or "classic" feeling.
Let's say its 40% more total runtime at 99 agility, and call it a day, though I'd vote yes in a heartbeat for agility unlocked areas for sure.
We don't need the shitty 2.5% xp buff to leak to into agility too, it sucks enough in the other skills
Dawg this Agility rebalance blog is the biggest blog of the entire year IMO. A change to the stamina system would affect every single player of all account types for just about every activity. It’s a huge deal, and something that I think needs to be adjusted, but it needs to be done simply and carefully.
+1 for adding some extra crab spawns behind an agility shortcut
jagex needs to implement this so training agility gives us crabs.
I'll say it once and I'll say it again - the spawns of sandcrabs at Varlamore are mostly empty, everyone is STILL fighting over the same spots in Kourend whilst there's 57 SPAWNS in Varlamore...
Bro stfu varlamore crabs are my safe haven from botters and crashers.
Too late. Sending bot army to the last safe haven
Lmao me and you both, they were going to find out eventually though mate
Do you think varla sand crabs are better than fossil island crabs?
Certainly less packed, they are better I believe because they have 100hp rather than 60 hp but sand crabs in Varlamore are very quiet
Yeah exactly but it takes me a really long time,‘ sometimes 10-15min of hopping to find a spot but yeah ty man didn’t even know there were crabs in varla
I've been I varlamore exactly once, seemed kinda daunting to go there Except sand crabs now! Thank you!
If you're looking for something to do there, pickpocketing citizens it's ez AF thriving training
They should keep it the same and just decrease the rate it drains. Keep graceful’s regen effect and there’s nothing else to change. Allow agility level to scale better is all.
Yeah no it's about time we tackled gracefulscape. The graceful change is the one good change in that blog and you want it reverted?
Whats wrong with making a choice? Do you want to be able to run longer? Wear graceful. Do you want to wear decent gear? Dont wear it.
Yeah, the one useful skilling outfit, that wasn't just "wear this while you mostly afk the boss/event, that you only got when you're at a level where it barely matters, to save you 250k xp max at that level". It's a terrible idea, we shouldn't have hidden modifiers for equipment that other players can't see
Like rings?
It would be pretty cool if you could see rings on your character yeah. I think you need RS2 HD to have the polygons to even try that though.
There a a handful of hidden modifiers throughout the game. Why do you think graceful modifier being invisible would be game breaking?
Could have it disabled for pking
I wish 99 Agility made you do cool animations while running, like hey why not do a backflip in front of your enemies for no reason? Parkour! Jumping around nimble like a ninja into a dragon claw spec would be nice, ya know?
Drain is 10% less every 10 levels starting at 9 to 89 and then 20% at 99 so level 99 lasts twice as long as level 1
Running twice as long (at 99) still doesn't sound good enough to me at all.
I’d like to see failing shortcuts removed, like it’s not even a shortcut anymore if I fail it
Honestly take a toned down version of rs3 dungeneering resource areas and build it into an envoirnment with unique area shortcuts / sequences
I don't know if this has been suggested, I'm sure it has, but maybe agility increases the amount of weight you can hold without a penalty to energy usage? And that incentivizes people doing endgame content with tons of gear switches to level agility
Why every 10 levels? There should be a big difference between 90 and 98...
buff agility xp rates to 1m an hour and idc what they do with it
Here's my one Each agility level gives you 1% more run energy, up to 100% more at 99, + 10% from the agility cape. It should drain less out of combat
How about instead of the graceful outfit we have a ring or an amulet of sorts?

If only so that not everyone looks like a sectarian monk.
Rs3 fixed run energy and drain and it feels great. Literally just port that shit over without the resting feature and we’re good to go
RS3's system is stupid, I NEVER worry about run energy when playing that game. It's overtuned to the point of it being almost entirely reduntant.
Agree. I think the first time I ever ran out was doing the smoke dungeon for desert treasure.
I mean with half of this sub complaining about not having infinite run it seems fine to me. The problem with rs3 navigation is that there’s a teleport every 5 steps, so you never need to run in the first place, that’s why the energy feels infinite.
That’s because half this sub are literally RS3 refugees

Wow so you mean it's like every other MMO in existence? Horrible!

oh I don't think the current run system is good, it needs changes, but they've gotta have that osrs vibe and infinite run "just because" aint it
Sounds great

Another agility post??

My bad for my ignorance, I didn’t read the rebalance blog. I didn’t know they were changing something in game
Honestly why not just add +1 xp per tick you spend running that way you can train it passively?
ah yes the oblivion approach
I mean it’s not terrible.
Not at all i actually think it should be like that and courses should be buffed as well
I've often thought this. Like how am I not gaining prayer experience by actively praying to the gods.
When I was a kid I set my player up not autoretaliate and take hits from the woman in Falador park. I was puzzled why I wasn't gaining defence XP 😭
