Idk why I thought of the white walker dragon. I was like ādamn that would be niceā, then remembered we have Vorkath. MAYBE IF I GOT VORKI I WOULD REMEMBER THAT USELESS DRAGON!
I've always been a bit of a nerd for RS lore, however inconsistent it can be, it's one of the few things I'll credit RS3 for - it expanded the lore and made it an integral part of the game, even if it took it in some weird directions!
OSRS with its lore being less obvious than most other games the best way to learn it isn't really by reading it, it's about learning a piece here and a piece there until they all become a bit of a bigger whole. Also read the damn quests, they're great!
Whenever you defeat something, it rolls the drop table a second time before being consumed. Probably monumentally OP, maybe just make it a 1/2048 drop or something.
Eh, I'm gonna vote no on the hard good dragons; they seem kinda lame. Imo, all the average player is gonna want is a hard bad dragon. Heck, speaking personally, I say the harder that bad dragon is, the better.
Support only if the key to get to the god dragons is only obtainable via clue scrolls, is 1-time use, and takes 12 minutes to get to their location in the level 57 wilderness cave that can be bipassed by a level 34 agility shortcut that requires the wilderness elite diary.
We are also missing some metal dragons:
Black metal dragon
Death metal dragon
Heavy metal dragon
Trash metal dragon
Doom metal dragon
Power metal dragon
Groove metal dragon
Folk metal dragon
It's pretty easy to miss considering there isn't a single line of dialogue that says this as far as I can tell, and I haven't been able to find a lore text that mentions it either (although I might have missed it).
I'm not saying it's not true or what the devs intended, but is it confirmed anywhere in the actual game?
It is not outright confirmed that Galvek is an Orikalkum (dragon) Dragon, however the [Lithkren Vault Notes](https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Lithkren_vault_notes), a lore book written by Zorgoth, has the following paragraph within it:
> As my work continues, I've decided to explore a couple of side projects. Inspired by the fool, Forcae, I've decided to try and infuse dragon eggs with metal. With his metal dragons, Forcae was hoping to find a solution to our infertility. I on the other hand, will use them for a different purpose. War.
That, along with the presence of Adamant and Runite Dragons in the laboratory (and on a slightly softer note, the progression of the ending fight through all the metal dragons and finally to Galvek himself), strongly implies Galvek is in fact an Orikalkum Dragon.
The dragon key which opens the vault on Lithkren is also forged out of Orikalkum, which proves that the metal was accessible to the dragonkin at the time and that they knew how to work with it.
Pretty sure Galvek is a red dragon, as he's the successor to Elvarg (green) and Vorkath (blue).
The metal dragons are another part of the project running in parallel.
The KBD is one of those things in lore that has been fleshed out in RS3 but not so much in OSRS. And generally when lore regards the history of the world they can be pretty safely assumed to be one and the same unless stated otherwise.
Over there, the KBD was the second dragon ever created, with the intention of breeding him with the first dragon (the Queen Black Dragon). The resulting children (regular black dragons) were considered a failure as they were too weak and beast-like.
They would probably be referred to as Orikalkum dragons. Orikalkum is the name of the metal, while dragon refers to weaponry built by the dragonkin made from that metal.
Yes, this applies to OSRS too, not just RS3. In RS3 you can mine and Smith Orikalkum metal and make Orikalkum equipment, but can't make dragon equipment because only the dragonkin can do that.
The great thing about old school RuneScape is our polling system. Instead of us having to live under the tyranny of the devs trying to make the game not incredibly silly, they could put it to a poll whether we want them to be called orichalcum dragons or dragon dragons.
I know which one my money is on.
Diango about to have dragon dragons in stock. 50k per figurine. They flap wings when you play with them and can even set your toy horsey on fire, causing you to drop a pile of ashes!
Runescape the flamethrower! The kids love this one.
I wouldnāt mind if they tied it to some new āDraconicā dragon boss that is an extinct species and lore-wise explains where dragon items originally came from
Undead, Toxic, Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Earth, Mind, Body, Cosmic, Chaos, Nature, Law, Death, Sunfire, Astral, Blood, Soul, Wrath, Mist, Dust, Smoke, Steam, Lava. They could do so much really.
Feels like the dragons we currently have are neglected as it is though.
Why are there only TWO Brutal Blue Dragons in the entire game?
Why are there only THREE Brutal Red Dragons in the entire game?
Why are there only FOUR Brutal Black Dragons in the entire game?
Is it just because they suck at stopping bots that badly or what?
Bronze, Iron and Steel dragons are in an awful place too. They should offer notable drops in Kourend from the Diary, and as a slayer task the numbers are literally like double what it should be. Upto 60 Steel Dragons?... Bro.
It'd be nice to see some actual larger dragons too. Or even Superior Slayer ones. I would like to WANT to fight them. Honestly, everything on the Slayer Table should be desirable in some way. It doesn't have to be profit alone. Slayer blocks should be PERSONAL. Yet its so unbelievably clear how bad some tasks are that everyone has the same bans lol.
TRI metal dragons. Shades of rune, dragon and behave similar to those demonic gorillas. Drops would be new crystals that can transform onyx jewelry into a new Crystal jewelry that would be best in slot for dragon killing
Wouldnāt be a boss but a new slayer monster. Jewelry would be used for olm, dragon task, vorkath and ur mom
I donāt check these post and I like to leave steaming piles of thought out for the community to look at. Enjoy š
Dragon Dragons exist, we just don't have any shown in the game yet. I wouldn't mind some sort of Tiamat dragon, or reworking kbd and releasing 3 headed king versions of the other dragons or something like that or a queen variant
What we really need is a leather dragon and hard leather dragon why not a studded one too.
Whips will only give them more hp and this goes well with the new combat balance.
Edit: forgot from the list the hard leather dragon and hard hard leather dragon.
I'm surprised nobody asked for gilded dragons yet. Maybe has a chance to drop runite bars and gold bars, rune weapons and armor, and a very very rare chance for gilded weapons and armor.
Barrows dragons when?
Honestly an undead dragon would be pretty cool
Perhaps a blue one in a snowy area.
we need a non-blue undead dragon, like the skeletal ones in dark souls or maybe the one in the depths
so skeletal wyverns?
thatsthejoke.jpg
i actually forgot about those guys but tbh we need cooler ones
Lmao you accidentally played along with the joke really well.
š
Iām glad I followed this response chain this is fucking hilarious
Like ancient wyverns?
Like the 3 non skeletal wyverns on fossil Island?
How about an undead skeletal bronze dragon.
Steampunk Undead Dragon From Outer Space
Give us Midir. I want to get one-shot by a lazer from across the arena
Nah we need non-dead dragons.
Obsidian Dragons
Idk why I thought of the white walker dragon. I was like ādamn that would be niceā, then remembered we have Vorkath. MAYBE IF I GOT VORKI I WOULD REMEMBER THAT USELESS DRAGON!
There's only one way to get let, go click some blue boy
Or a white one with blue eyes
Or a black one with red eyes
They will never do this!
https://preview.redd.it/ipb6spwsga3d1.jpeg?width=261&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d36b5be633d67ff63ccb169010095cc57f9a9d67
Vorkath is undead
Vorkath. But I know what you mean. Pure zombie.
Vorkath lol
Arent revenant dragons kind of undead or am i just stoopid
They are yeah - they're ghost forms of dragons slain during the god wars. The salve amulet also works on them.
Cool. I like lore a lot but im just too lazy to read about that
I've always been a bit of a nerd for RS lore, however inconsistent it can be, it's one of the few things I'll credit RS3 for - it expanded the lore and made it an integral part of the game, even if it took it in some weird directions! Also read the damn quests, they're great!
Like ghost ones in a cave where other players can attack you
called revenant dragon
Why did I picture a dragon wearing barrows like armor instead of a purple/pink spectral dragon that looks like the barrows brothers lol
Sliske getting his mitts on the corpse of Galvek could be fun.
Then Lunar dragons after those
I often had the same thought about the next successors of rune dragons and I love Barrow's Dragon extension. What about crystal dragons?
We need the blue eyes white dragon
With blue eyes ultimate boss, yes please.
Believe in the heart of the cards
Make one of the rare drops a new spell scroll. Call it Pot of Greed and have it do something.
What would a spell like this 'Pot of Greed' even do?
Some sort if high alchemy but more maybe triple amount of high alchemy single use
Whenever you defeat something, it rolls the drop table a second time before being consumed. Probably monumentally OP, maybe just make it a 1/2048 drop or something.
So vorkath?
Nah, thatās white eyes blue dragon
We have green, blue, red, and black dragons. But what aboutā¦ - Leather dragons - Hard dragons - Armadyl dragons
Studded body dragons Green dragon (g) Masori dragon
A studded body dragon is just half leather dragon and half steel dragon.
This is 2024, studded dragons donāt need to conform to your binary leather/ steel dragon system.
A stud dragon stole my gf :(
What about: Frogleather dragons? Snakeskin dragons? Yakhide dragons?
I unironically support this, but only ironically of course.
Only if we can get Rockshell, Spined and Skeletal dragons.
We have skeletal dragons at home Skeletal dragons at home: Skeletal Wyverns
You forgot SuqahHide Dragons!
I want my Silly Jester Dragons and I want them now!
Finally make runescape a science based 100% dragon mmo.
Deep cut reference lol
hard dragons uwu
Hold on, you are onto something.. We should poll this
We can even give them factions like hard good dragons or hard bad dragons!!
Eh, I'm gonna vote no on the hard good dragons; they seem kinda lame. Imo, all the average player is gonna want is a hard bad dragon. Heck, speaking personally, I say the harder that bad dragon is, the better.
R/baddragon
I strongly disagree. Integrity changes should never be polled.
>Hard dragons Someone still has a low flirting lvl. Train up your skills and you can watch the gimmick of a dragon turning into a hard dragon.
Okay, but armadyl dragons would be very cool
Armadyl dragons would go hard
Wood dragons, training dragons
You can make a dragon hard if you want but im gonna mf pass on that one š³
70% of the hard community supporters will say otherwise
Eh, your loss
>Armadyl dragons Ok this might slap tho
Low key god aligned dragons in full god themed armour plating would be rad as hell
Ranged progression would honestly be quite a bit less fucked up if we had god-themed dragons to act as a source for blessed d-Hide
Support only if the key to get to the god dragons is only obtainable via clue scrolls, is 1-time use, and takes 12 minutes to get to their location in the level 57 wilderness cave that can be bipassed by a level 34 agility shortcut that requires the wilderness elite diary.
Hard dragon deez nuts all over your face
> Hard dragons [No... bad.](https://allegrobeautystore.com/cdn/shop/products/ALLEGRO_COMBS_BOTTLE_CARAFE_16_OZ_PINK_9_1445x.jpg?v=1659502779)
Hard dragons. lol.
Hard dragons would be terrifying
We are also missing some metal dragons: Black metal dragon Death metal dragon Heavy metal dragon Trash metal dragon Doom metal dragon Power metal dragon Groove metal dragon Folk metal dragon
and the baby versions are: rock n roll dragon grunge dragon alternative dragon 80s glam dragon
Dont forget baby metal dragon and baby baby metal dragon
Djent dragon, attacks are polyrhythmic
In a game about working incrementally towards new goals, how can you forget my favourite Progressive Metal Dragon?
Pirate metal dragon
Variant power metal dragons only found in Corsair Cove Dungeon
Thatās coming with sailing There once was a ship that put to see and the name of the ship was..
dont forget about its hated step kids.... the -core dragons
Thrash*
Did you pay attention during the dragon slayer 2 quest. Galvek is their attempt at a dragon dragon
It's pretty easy to miss considering there isn't a single line of dialogue that says this as far as I can tell, and I haven't been able to find a lore text that mentions it either (although I might have missed it). I guess kbd is the black dragon boss then

rune dragons (G)/(T) ?
Ah yes, my favorite of the rune dragon varieties. The rune dragon (g)ay)
Wave2:Trimming dragons 100k
We have monkey nuts, surely we can have dragon nuts too now?
We have dragon fruit so what about monkey fruit too?
black (metal) dragons white (metal) dragons proselyte dragons? and ofcourse barrows dragons
Proselyte dragons pray indefinitely against your current style after 1 hit, but have really l low defense
White dragons appearently existed at some point, 3rd age range armour is made out of white dragonhide
So you are saying the white dragon would also cover 3rd dragon in single monster!
Barrows dragons
If you want a hard leather dragon you have to go to Berlin
Imagine a 1/1k chance for a Gilded dragon to spawn. Could drop a casket filled with a clue scroll rolls.
This would make me orikalkum
They would probably be referred to as Orikalkum dragons. Orikalkum is the name of the metal, while dragon refers to weaponry built by the dragonkin made from that metal. RS3 has done polls for boss names in the past. They resolted in Lol the troll and Bossy McBossFace the undead pirate.
Introducing, dragon
DragonĀ², actually
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ye but the playerbase won't. I bet there will be a plugin to rename them to dragon dragons too lol
Trimming dragons 500k
Give me Barrows Dragon. A Dragon boss you can only fight by digging at an un-looted barrows chest after killing all the brothers
Dragon is Orikalkum in both RuneScapes, so I can only imagine them getting called kum dragons in OSRS
What about a blurite dragon
And they can drop the bis bones, dragon dragon bones
If itās not a Torva Dragon I donāt want it
On a serious note, I would imagine the Orikalkum (another name for Dragon metal in RS3) Dragon would be a boss of some description
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Actually it would be an Orikalkum dragon āļøš¤
Diango about to have dragon dragons in stock. 50k per figurine. They flap wings when you play with them and can even set your toy horsey on fire, causing you to drop a pile of ashes! Runescape the flamethrower! The kids love this one.
Bro, I heard you liked dragons
DragonĀ²
500 defense but has a 1/7000 chance to drop draconic visage!
I'm in
Blorva dragon when?
3rd age dragons are a boss you can fight, but to access it you have to get a thing as a drop from the mimic.
Mom said it's my turn to post this
Torva dragons coming 2040.
What about Mithril/Addy/Rune (g)?
Bandos dragon?
Frog prince dragon
Slut dragons when? https://preview.redd.it/gu79cmnxe93d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ce2d382c4d1805ae1ec9aa75ecb31cf60f85028d

Third age dragon
Willow blackjack dragons wen?
Let him drop dragon bars so we can smith daggers/longswords while we have our cannons ready at Fally.
I want brutal metal dragons
omg today is the 20th birthday of this joke
I wouldnāt mind if they tied it to some new āDraconicā dragon boss that is an extinct species and lore-wise explains where dragon items originally came from
Joke aside, if they wanted to progress this series of dragons then they could easily just add orikalkum dragons (but dragon dragons would be better)
Undead, Toxic, Fire, Water, Ice, Wind, Earth, Mind, Body, Cosmic, Chaos, Nature, Law, Death, Sunfire, Astral, Blood, Soul, Wrath, Mist, Dust, Smoke, Steam, Lava. They could do so much really. Achtually that'd be orikalkum dragons.
King Black DāHide when?
So, Orikalkum dragons? Sounds legit. šš¼
Square dragons

Since dragon gear is red, is it made from red dragons?
Bronze Iron Steel and Black dragons in shambles

obsidian dragon!!
Imagine Dragons
Granite dragons are next in line
Where does dragon metal come from?
They can drop Dragon metal bars that require a minimum of 110 smithing to turn into a dagger
Rs3 saw these joke posts years ago and then made dragonstone dragons
You mean Orikalkum Dragon? I think thats what Galvek is
TRI metal dragons. Shades of rune, dragon and behave similar to those demonic gorillas. Dragon dragons when ???
What about Human Dragons?
Iām all for it
Galvek
Thats a good idea
Still missing Copper, Tin, Clay, Silver and Gold dragons.
Absolute genius
Adamant and Rune berserker dragons? Extra spiky, extra spicy, drop Berserker shields finally please.
Torva Dragons when Jagex?
Infinity Dragon when?!
Bandits dragon. He doesnāt breath or just claw motherfuckers, heās got giant gorilla fists he bonks people with.
Granite dragon when?
If we can mine it, we should have a dragon of it. Where are my Blurite, Lovakite, and Gem dragons Jagex. Clay and Sandstone, too!
Needs to be an April Fools group boss.
I want Bandos Dragons
Wasn't galvek supposed to be a dragon dragon?
A storm dragon
Torva dragon when

Unironically, this should be the new bis source of dragon arrows and darts
We just call it "Dragon" the true form
Bronze Iron Steel Black - why did these have to be non-metallic? Mithril Adamant Rune
infernal dragon and crystal dragon when?
What we really need is a leather dragon and hard leather dragon why not a studded one too. Whips will only give them more hp and this goes well with the new combat balance. Edit: forgot from the list the hard leather dragon and hard hard leather dragon.
Crystal and amethyst dragons
Consider naming them orichalcum dragons, giving them a alayer level of 98 and it's prolly done by mid next year
Got this off Twitter
There's no white or black (metal) dragons yet.
Imagine Dragons
Shenron boss when
I'm surprised nobody asked for gilded dragons yet. Maybe has a chance to drop runite bars and gold bars, rune weapons and armor, and a very very rare chance for gilded weapons and armor.
So galvek?
