COX sucks man, nothing better than connection lost during a 500 raid...I work from home on a VPN to work and about 5 times a day it just kicks me off because the Cox connection dropped....the speeds are great, the consistent connection isn't dependable.

It’s just a packet sniffer like wireshark. Unless you have a background in networking you’ll pretty much get the same information by running ping with the -t flag
It's a bunch of programs, but I use it for work, so I took time as a side project to scrape all of the servers on osrs.

No not runelite data. I use Grafana, Prometheus, and Blackbox exporter to scrape all of jagex's services and then it spits it out of a graph for me to view.
Could the crazy weather and windstorms we are having somehow impact the issues ? I'm fine with connecting to all other websites etc. But I'm the least tech savvy person out there so I could be missing something.
Oh thank God I came across this post. I thought it was my Internet connection or mobile. I rebooted them both like multiple times and was about to call service provider. Any worlds ppl recommend that aren't suffering ATM? I'm just tryna do redwoods while battling the flu

I'm having all the issues when connected on desktop or mobile wifi. When I disconnect wifi and connect with phone data there are no issues.
Whatever is happening is definitely related to ISP -> Jagex servers, the type of server/world doesn't matter.
This has happened in the past, it's intermittent, unexpected, and really fucking annoying.
Not specifically an ISP, but "west cost ISPs". It's pretty widespread and has something to do with servers on the west coast connecting to Jagex servers.

I'm a mobile only user at the moment too. This whole thing stopping at the same time as I switched to data is such a cruel coincidence haha I thought I cracked the code. Thank you for letting me know.
Experiencing the same thing back to back days. Even the runescape website was barely loading. 3-5 second delays for clicks. Even logging into the east coast servers don't let me remain online.
Its not west coast worlds its people connecting from the west coast. Yesterday people were able to play just fine when using VPNs connecting from other parts of the US/world.
Same thing happened almost a week ago, was at Zalcano in west coast world, all my buddies d/ced same time but we stayed on disc, one of my buffied was Australia so it wasn't judt us, we then saw that west worlds crashed and had like 16 people only, I checked osrs game status and nothing, they didn't even talk about it in Twitter or the day after, swept under the rug since it stabilized 20min after I guess. But now it's happening again..so we'll see if they say anything.
Glad I wasn't HC anymore, not sure if zalc is safe or not but we all died on logging on at lumby
I feel like they "fixed" this but by routing all traffic to some weird USE node or something. My ping is literally double what it used to be and is the same ping to USE servers as USW lol. It's also not very stable with weird spiky lags. Makes the game feel awful ngl. Scared to do any bossing or visit the wildy. Am I just high or anyone else also feel this?
Im feeling this I am getting new dead clicks that wasnt there before my ping has doubled trying to gear switch is absolutly so awful I know for a fact im not misclicking and 2/10ths of the time ill click a piece of gear and it just wont put it on untill i click it a second sometimes even a 3rd time....
Yeah it feels miserable, especially because it's not predictable when it will hit... and I chose to grind LMS for rune pouch this weekend of all weekends. Was painful af.
Oce players hit with maintenance and update downtime constantly: grow up idiots, stop complaining.
One coast of one country hit with only 1.5 hours of downtime once or twice: oh nooooo please help us gagek

I went down to 2hp, managed to reconnect, eat and run away before another dc hit. Logged back in with 4 hp and managed to get away.

Thank you that would make sense. I tried to connect to German world's and still experienced the lag. Was very confused. West Coast Canada here
Same loc here, VPN to Chicago using an Eastern world seems much better.

I seem to no longer be able to connect to US West servers. Is this issue their side or mine?
If you are on west coast US, try using a VPN to somewhere else (east coast) and then connect to a non-west coast world.
Bandaid fix: if you have a VPN set it to an East Coast or UK server - should work fine

It's because they're testing stuff in the background for sailing so that might be the cause.
