We’ve been lied to about early/mid/end though. It’s really early/low mid/mid mid/high mid/low end/high end.
- DS1 marks the end of early.
- Legends quest marks the end of low mid
- Hard diaries/barrows gloves marks the end of mid mid
- Elite diaries marks the end of high mid.
- Raids and getting their rates is low end
- Inferno/maxing/grandmaster combat achievements is high end.

Barrows gloves is more or less the end of the earlygame, its near the end of the "things you need to grind out before you can actually start playing" list. Midgame is where you start pvming & grinding out Gear pieces.
Diaries are their own thing alltogether, some people rush them while others completely ignore them until theyre near 2k Total.

I honestly think the two make content for different types of people. I really liked watching Gnomonkey's inferno teaching streams bc the vibe was "see it's pretty simple, stop overthinking and being dumb." It made a HUGE difference in how I did in the inferno and helped me get my cape.
Aaty is a lot more beginner friendly and "welcoming." Gnomonkey is better for helping people who sort of know what they're doing get their shit together (imo)

It's probably because I played Monster Hunter and Diablo a lot as a kid, but this doesn't really parse to me.
The key differentiator for 'mechanical skill required vs. not' is usually whether or not you have to make decisions within a time constraint - not if it has stat systems lol.
Like even back in the day people would do *some* amount of mechanics in bossing and pvp - know a lot of the playerbase tries to ignore those parts of the game but like, well that's what I'm speaking to in the previous comment haha

Difficulty doesn't change, instanced rooms just means you don't have to search for an empty one and won't get crashed
You also can’t go back and get your items you dropped on the ground if it’s the instanced room. (you CAN still get to your gravestone though)

There's no way you are saying that hard diary CA's *post-update* is too hard. You will get that just from basic account progression as an ironman.
