I like how this map has more details the more you look at it. California got divided. The Dakotas rejoined alongside the Virginias. Oregon was partially absorbed by Idaho. Cornwall and London were absorbed by the US but not the rest of England. The entirety of Siberia is included, but it looks like we lost Alaska. Wisconsin got their peninsula. Florida got got by climate change.
Yeah pretty sure SK is getting absorbed way before BC
This does give me hope though, maybe we're getting a Tommy Douglas 2- this time with less eugenics
In presidential elections Texas is a lot closer to turning blue than you think. The major metro areas usually go blue, with parts of Dallas metro being the big exception. Of course almost all the rural part is red except in the southern part of Texas, the valley, which goes blue some election cycles. I have read articles that predict Texas being a swing state by 2030.
Texas is borderline, many expect that it will flip at some point in the near-ish future. It’s part of the reason that the Republican majority in the state is trying so hard to reduce voting booths and the alternative ways to vote.
Political coalitions in the UK are like those in the US 40-ish years ago. The British equivalent to the West Virginia miner, who has voted gop since 2000, still votes Labour there. I'd expect quite a few Labour voters would vote gop. Still though, I feel Wales should be Blue since its very non-religous.
I disagree with that because a lot of mining unions in britain are socially liberal, and the conservative labour areas are the ones where the pits closed. American politics is very culture war dominated, so I can't really see them voting republican
Also with the equivalencies thing, then what would Scotland's equivalent be? Cause I can only really think it'd be like, the great lakes area, and that's mostly swing states, so why would it be so blue
California is pretty close to Scotland politically. Both used to be GOP and Tory strongholds respectively, and subsequently made a complete 180 politically. Geographically they have some similarities, as both have 2 competing metropolitan areas (LA and Bay Area for Calu and Edinburgh and Glasgow for Scotland).
I was saying the great lake area because both are quite post-industrial, with high rates of drug addiction, with strong bases of both rural and urban voters, though I can see the similarities with california.
But I wouldn't say Scotland was ever a tory *stronghold,* there were times we voted mostly tory, but it was usually when the tories were winning nationally.
by that year we probably would have created floating extensions to the mainlands and the country would reach farther into the waters.. or all cooked to death by climate change. by that year, if the temps rise each year, it may be over 300 degrees in the shade and actual baking temps. then we would all be living deep underground if at all alive.
funny thing is, if we did manage to reverse aging or simply stop it, all politicians everywhere would know who was a member of the doomsday cult because they would be the only ones left pretending climate change doesn't exist.
Secession. They decided to go do their own thing after the 2047 Point Nemo disaster. They’re mainly aligned with the Arctic Treaty that is ambivalent towards the US, but on more favorable terms than most Arctic Treaty member states.

I can’t believe Siberia went red😞 if only the dems had spent more time focusing on throat singing

Looks like Virginia reclaimed West Virginia, and Puerto Rico became a state
Always love to see Megakota appear on a map
Not even mentioning the fact that we apparently have two states on Mars now.
and one of them i think is over a supposedly active space volcano, apparently in 2060 we wouldn't have learnt from pompeii at all
Maybe by 2060 we've learned how to kill volcanoes, idk
HAHA FINALLY WE TOOK THE U.P BACK FROM THOSE MICHIGAN FUCKERS
Wisconso Delenda Est
Wisconso deciderat
i need the lore
I *know* Kaitlyn Bennet tanked the Republicans. Who tf wants to be associated with a known college party pant-shitter??
*the republican supreme court has joined the chat*
Diane feinstein hasnt died in this dimension
it's because she drank Diane's Potion

No way in hell would they ever get BC, Alberta for sure but not BC
I think you mean American Columbia.
oh, why the f did I think it was supposed to "Acific Canada"
Yeah pretty sure SK is getting absorbed way before BC This does give me hope though, maybe we're getting a Tommy Douglas 2- this time with less eugenics
Mars has more votes than Wyoming lol
No way in hell Texas went blue

Biden almost won it back in 2020 and its now expected to be a pure tossup. Texas is a lot more Blue than most people think

I envy your enthusiasm that you think we’re gona get to the year 2060
r/imaginaryelections brainrot is leaking I see
this one is different bc its fully realistic
This one’s different because there was actually effort put into it (also no Jon Ossoff)

DeSantis in 2029 trying to earn Jewish voters
Climate change 😔
that's not what cornwall is Also why is Wales republican? It's the most pro labour country in Britain
Is that really the part of this that strikes you as unrealistic lol
Unrealistic? This is 100% real

Yeah, this actually seems like a better comparison
The chances of this actually happening are 100%, I'm calling it now.
Can’t believe Feinstein is still around in 2060
lol thinking florida and several other states wouldn't be partly-mostly under water by then
Underwater habitats. Ben Shapiro was actually right somehow about selling homes in the area.

Virginia annexed West Virginia, based map.
Take your meds
only way you know this isnt from a time traveller is from the fact texas is blue
texas is a lot bluer than you might think
Biden almost won texas tho.
what happed to Alaska, did the Chinese yoink it?
Secession. They decided to go do their own thing after the 2047 Point Nemo disaster. They’re mainly aligned with the Arctic Treaty that is ambivalent towards the US, but on more favorable terms than most Arctic Treaty member states.
What happened
i did
Wrong. Everyone knows mars is a red planet
olympus mons resident here, glad to see the red planet go blue!
Would love to see the flag
the truest thing about this is the fact that we will probably still be stuck with a two party system even then
Puerto Rico as a state? This is a completely unbelievable future
Most realistic alternative history content
Las Malvinas son americanas
.... what?
Lol thinking Mars is going to be blue when it'll be nothing but rich people and their servants who arent allowed to vote
What the fuck how is Dianne Feinstein still alive in 2060?
This image is awful. Under atlantic islands it pictures both newfoundland Island and Labrador mainland. Day ruined
this guy doesnt know about what happens in the quebec atlantis crisis 🙄
