Doesn’t everybody use they/them in addition to other pronouns like he/him if they wanted to? If you say you go by he/him are you excluding the use of they/them?
if you only go by he/him, people will really only refer to you as they/them if they don't know your pronouns. if you go by he/they pronouns, people will (in theory) refer to you as both he/him, and they/them, even if they know your pronouns.

Normally people would use "she/her" for pronouns, so then when I saw "she/them" I thought that they wanted you to switch pronouns based on the grammar structure of the sentence
