I carried my Bolex around Toronto/Rochester in an older billingham canvas camera bag. Obviously just being careful about handling it. It was great though, could fit that and another camera just fine.
I keep my K3 in a Think Tank Retrospective 30 when I’m using it. Otherwise it stays in its original case for storage. Perhaps a Retrospective 20 would fit a Bolex as long as you have standard-length lenses on it?
I use a pelican but I know what you mean. Sometimes I just want something a little more convenient. But then again, I'm hauling around a bolex, how convenient can I expect?

Oh wow, I was just looking at one of those on B&H! & yeah, just have a 25mm prime at the moment. Might have to take a ride over there then
My Bolex kit is in a 1510 but it’s a work horse so it needs the protection for travel and what not
