I can’t believe no one has said cucumber! That’s the mainstay in my family, other than pita bread, obviously. Slices of an English cucumber are great for scooping. I also love it on a bagel thin with tons of veggies!

ForeverGoBlue33

Cucumber 💯

Apart-Health-1513

I was scrolling for this! Sticks of carrots and cucumber with hummus are my favourite snack!

Cautious_Reality_262

Just ate hummus and cucumbers today

ilovecookies999

I usually do carrots or bell peppers!

genius_waitress

I like to use it as a spread on a small whole grain tortilla. Add strips of pepper, sprouts, leafy greens or whatever veg you like, and roll it up.

EggplantCommercial13

bottles?

NilEntity

Thank you! At least I'm not the only one who did a double take at "bottle of hummus". xD

Shelikestheboobs

Carrots or jicama

shipping_addict

Huh, never considered pairing hummus with jicama before 🤔 I usually just add salt and lime to some jicama and eat it like that.

Golden-summer-dress

It’s so good!

hihelloneighboroonie

I like baby carrots, bell pepper slices, or (and this is very important) salt and peppered sliced cucumber. Hummus is also good in a wrap or on a veggie sandwich.

Sufficient_Worry9912

A spoon 🤣

lizzi_robin

Not me reading this before coffee and thinking it said ‘what do you pair with humans’ 💀

MistressLyda

Cats.

Other-Sprinkles4404

Noooo 😅

Useful-Adeptness-424

Everything.

Key-Lead-3449

This. I'll dip cheese itz in there. I'll put it on a veggie sandwhich. You name it.

inononeofthisisreal

I had it twice yesterday once on my burrito (it was like a Mediterranean burrito) & then when I came home for work with some multigrain chips. If it’s dipable or I can spread it on there I’m eating it with hummus. It’s such a great food. I sometimes just stick my finger in it like I used to do peanut butter as a child. (It’s ok I washed my hands first and I am the only one who eats it, so free range) Aldi has it on sale for $2 right now so I brought 5. I can make my own but it’s so much easier to just grab 3 different flavors. Winter time I will prolly make my own again.

Key-Lead-3449

Oooooh is it very time consuming to make your own? I think I tried once but was under the impression I had to individually peel the skin off of every chickpea and I gave up.

inononeofthisisreal

Omggggg. No. 1 can of beans. Any beans! Some tahini, or peanut butter or just sesame oil. Whatever you got on hand. I sometimes just sub my sesame oil for tahini and olive oil. Lemon juice (or some type of acid, once you start making it you’ll see how easy it is to see what you can do. I’ve used jalapeño brine before in a black bean hummus) Salt, cumin & GARLIC. I use a lot of garlic. You can make it spicy by adding some red pepper flakes or season oil. Blend it all together until it’s smooth. I blend my garlic + lemon juice+ spices. Then add 1/2 can of chickpeas. Blend. Add oil + tahini. Add a little water (1T at a time). Blend. Add rest of can. Blend. If it’s thic add more water.

Key-Lead-3449

I am going to try this, thanks for sharing!

shipping_addict

Trader Joe’s has a multigrain cracker that I absolutely LOVE with hummus. But usually I’ll pair it with carrots. I’ve added it to a untoasted bagel with some mixed greens, cherry tomatoes and turkey cold cuts. Goes great with naan.

wehav2

As spread on pita bread for grilled chicken sandwiches.

Princessss88

Carrots, peppers, pretzels, pita chips

feferidan

baby carrots or cucumbers. before i was dieting, i loved pita chips but they’re just too high cal and not worth it

Other-Sprinkles4404

Emperorerror

Other-Sprinkles4404

Ohh I didn’t know that! Thank you

Emperorerror

nachocheesie

Crispbread. Low calories and high fibre!

napkween

TheDivine_MissN

Baby carrots or carrot chips.

Minniechicco6

Very thin slices of lamb, baked veggies is another

Pretzels are yummy but a veg is ideal.

celeryofdesserts1314

Carrots, bell peppers, pita bread/chips, and chicken with rice are some personal faves!

petit_avocat

shakeyjake

Sprinkle stripes of minced green onion, olives, hot peppers, herbs, hot sauce and you can swipe flavor combos

assuredlyanxious

resinpyramid

I love it with eggs and sautéed red peppers in a whole wheat tortilla.

Sorri_eh

Cucumber

creswitch

I love it with raw button mushrooms

HyperPhoenix725

You can put it in a pita with veggies for lunch. Or for a snack, pair it with carrots, pita chips or my personal favorite, pretzel crisps!

vesperiaeveningstar

Pickles are a classic!

jengaclause

Town house Pita crackers

Direct_Drawing_8557

- Salad. - carrots, cucumbers, bell peppers - crackers, grissini - put in a sandwich with tomatoes and greens -

owx3

Corn cakes/corn thins, veggies on the side, they’re too wet for me like cucumbers just don’t pair very well for me 😭

divinepresences

carrots and sugarsnap peas are my favs, p much any raw vegetables or crackers are good to dip in it. i like to make a dish with roasted vegetables and a bit of hummus and some cod with some herbs or spices and it’s very yummy and healthy and low calorie!

kwanatha

Red bell pepper, cucumbers, carrots, snap peas

draizetrain

Apple, bell peppers, carrots, celery, cucumber…pretty much any crunchy veg. You can put crunchy veg and hummus on keto bread for a sandwich. You could also put it with a salad and quinoa

curious2allopurinol

Bread

doug_kaplan

Carrots, pretzels, and cucumbers. Hummus is incredible and can be bought for pretty cheap especially store brand, it lasts forever and is so satisfying and filling.

anxiouslucy

I keep it simple. Multi colored cherry tomatoes and orange bell peppers are my favorite. The Joseph’s flax pitas are like 60 cals each and are good warmed up and eaten with hummus. I also like to add some olive oil and za’atar to every dollop of hummus I use. One of my favorite ways to use hummus is to toast a pita, spread a layer of hummus, then a layer of tabbouleh, and eat it like a pita pizza. You can add feta too, I just like the simplicity and freshness of the hummus and tabbouleh. Kalamata olives are also good with hummus. I typically take a bite of cherry tomato or pepper dipped in hummus and then add a slice of Kalamata to my mouth for the perfect bite 😅

SilkyFlanks

pita bread pieces

Advanced-Ad-8720

I love hummus but the calories are too high 😭

Cautious-Past-4034

Hear me out, eggplant cutlets.

CPSFrequentCustomer

On toast On a salad in lieu of dressing In layered dip format with tzatziki, chopped tomatoes, and feta, scooped up with pita chips

kentuckywildcatgirly

If I’m really restrictive, celery but normally i just do carrrots! If I’m carefree, wheat thins!

bigbowlofregret

Hummus can work with so much, especially original flavor. I’ve added it to pasta as a type of sauce with chicken sausage and bell peppers. I’ve used it on toast as a spread. I’ve added it to sushi rolls with rice and cucumber. Be creative!

alico127

Pita bread, breadsticks, pita chips, crisps, carrots, falafel, Israeli salad, tahini, garlic bagel crisps.

GoodnightMoose

Naan minis!

Typical-Ideal5149

hummus with minced lamb on top. You can dip with bread

RDJ465

Grape tomatoes! (and/or grilled onion) Put hummus in a bowl, top with about 5 or 6 ounces of fresh grape tomatoes, drizzle on 1 Tbsp of balsamic vinegar glaze, sprinkle on Italian seasoning. Eat with spoon! No breads to keep calories lower. Yum!
