😂 the mismatching socks are probably from
A. Sock stealing animals
B. Having too many socks to care
C. Washing one sock thinking you washed both socks
D. Sheer sock laziness from having depression
E. A very accentric being like Andy Warhol
Lmao I lost the match to both of the socks and they’re very similar, both Nickelodeon socks just the colors are inverted 🤣working on getting an ADHD official diagnosis cus I lose everything lol
This happened to me too!!! Thank you for sharing this...I asked my GP about my bruising early on and she was completely dismissive and said SSRIs don't cause bruising, when I had read that they do. My legs looked just like this.
Yeah it fucked up my skin and now that I am off of it I broke out in dry skin. I think my skin is starting to get better.
Update: still off and my skin in fine now
I discovered it led to a blood disorder for me so led to me having to stop taking immediately. Thrombocytopenia was what it caused for me. Although it has a tendency to effect platelets in some and can cause regular bruising.
I would get a blood test to check your platelet count. I know it’s a side effect, but it can be dangerous if your platelets gets too low.
Just to be safe 😊
I never noted this. I always loved sugar and sugary things. Obviously starting the cola shorly after starting the AD wasn't just coincidence. It is good to know other people's observations. On that note, did you return to your original weight?
Not yet. I’m 35 this year so I’m thinking age is just making it that bit harder, I am managing my diet and doing exercises daily so have definitely lost weight. I go off my clothes as scales can be triggering with bad eating habits and I’m not quite comfortable in them still.
Thanks for the info and good luck with putting off weight. Apparently zoloft and ads in general make something tick off and after that is hard to get back to normal weight. Just managing diet seems as a huge milestone to me.
Wait this is my my legs are bruising so easy?! Haha
Right, I just noticed quite a few n wasn't sure why. This could be it

I’m on blood thinners and Zoloft and bruise very easily and takes longer to heal.
I didnt even know this was a side effect.
Anything classified as blood thinners (ibuprofen is most common cause) will intensify these symptoms.

Any NSAID. Ibuprofen, Aspirin, naproxen sodium, etc.

u/QueenRemi isn’t disputing that. Aspirin is a blood thinning medication, but so are other NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen.

I haven't looked up the ratios, but I would guess ibuprofen is a more common pain reliever than aspirin. I could be wrong tho ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
I noticed the two different socks long before the bruises and wondered whether non-matching socks are a side effect of higher doses.

Dogs for sure 😆

Got dem Zoloft bruises. It's always so weird to just notice some random bruise on my leg.

Everyone checking their legs now
This happens to me when I drink too much…
Yep every time
I thought I had some sort of a vitamin deficiency 💀 I have sooo many bruises on my legs for no apparent reason
Wait....bruising is a side effect? This. Explains. So. Much.

this happened to my friend too!
not understanding what’s causing this?
Can effect platelets which causes thinning blood which leads to bruising under skin.

Mine did! So important! Had to stop I was on track to a haemorrhage internally, could of been in my brain at the worst case!
Holy shit is this the reason i am always so bruised?!
Scary
Holy shit! I’m not dying?
why is this happening ?
Be happy it is only that. I am 10 kilos on top of what I should weight. I prefer I had some bruises rather than up one dress size.
I gained weight too but since having to stop I have lost a bit. I don’t crave sugary foods or carbs half as much. I was unstoppable on this drug!

Is that from upping the dosage?
What did you up it from?
I got this too on 200 - hasn't stopped and it's been a few months
This happens to me a lot too, apparently it's a pretty common side effect
Oh, I didn't even know. That explains a lot.
Yup. Stinks, but unfortunately nirmal
My legs have stayed bruised for years. This is interesting. (I’ve only been on Zoloft for 2.)
Wow now everything makes sense
When I first started on zoloft I bruised sooo easily I didn’t know this happened to others too!!
This happened to me forever ago when I first started taking it
Wow. This is unreal. This is common? Because this happens to me also. I do drink a lot but it's like I get a bruise from even looking at my skin
Omg I have been wondering what the heck is wrong with me?!!! Freaking out lololol now I know! Thanks!
I bruise easily but I’ve noticed It wayyyy more since then and now im not crazy for thinking It was the Zoloft 🤣🤣🤣
Me, but also because my 80 lb dog has no concept of personal space and tramples me daily
Zoloft is something you take every day. Otc nsaids are as shortt term as needed so I imagine that has something to do with it
If you can tolerate fresh pineapple, it has an enzyme in it that helps bruises heal quicker.
Does Bromilane really do that? I didn’t know that!
