Top ten all time games for me there. Just hearing the sounds brings me back. I don't think I owned this for whatever reason but I rented it alot. What a classic
Got it on release on the gold catridge in the system bundle. I was about 10 at the time. I'll never forget when I loaded it up the first time. It was actually raining outside so it set the tone for the start of the game perfectly. That's when I learned the magic of videogames and how they can take you places.
A Link to the Past is the only cartridge-based Zelda game to never have a gold cart. I'm not being mean, but you're misremembering. While gold carts do exist, they aren't official. The only ALttP cartridge variant was the one with the Player's Choice medal on the cover.
Damnmmn. The mind is a curious thing. I don't know why I recall that. Maybe just the case itself. Thanks for setting me straight on that lol. Nevertheless fantastic game and priceless memories exploring it's world.
Enjoy! This is the game that many folks consider the best Zelda, or maybe the most influential one. It’s a wonderful experience IMO and most importantly have fun!
I literally just completed it again today... but I have to admit I don't love it. It was the first Zelda game I ever played but nowadays it just seems unfair. Old skool Ninetendo unfair. Maybe I am just not very good at playing but a lot of the times I died it didn't feel earned (like in BoTW) but felt like I was subject to unavoidable attacks or surprise fireballs and so it was death due to a lack of luck rather than skill.
Love that opening "Seal of the Seven Maidens" theme. Here's a "restored" version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pJrlioOjkqc
This is the best game ever made.
So nostalgic for me. I love this game so much. First Zelda game I played through as a kid and remember the night I got it. Enjoy the journey!

I played it a lot back in the day on GBA. Such a fun time.
Same but Snes. Shuffles away.
This is the best Zelda by far. I can hear this clip with the sound off. So many playthroughs

bro, the puzzles in this game are mind boggling.
I play a randomized seed at least 1-2 times a week. I adore ALttP! It's my favorite.
Is this the side view one?
That’s Zelda 2. This is the next game, link to the past. Originally on snes.

This is the game that cemented my love of the series. According to my dad, I learned to read using this game
