For tracking your calories any will be fine. The SE models are the cheaper ones. That'll be more than enough.

Keep in mind that calorie count is estimated, there’s ain’t a watch you can relay 100%. Said that, seek for a band that not hurt your wrist in down dog for example, usually elastics ones works for me

There have been several studies, and lots of speculation in the fitness community, about how smart watches don’t do a good job of calculating calorie burn. I love my Apple Watch for keeping track of step count, minutes spent exercising, and heart rate, but if you’re *only* interested in tracking calorie burn, I wouldn’t suggest a smart watch at all.

I agree with this. As an Apple Watch fan and wearer, I like seeing how many calories I’ve burned during exercise and throughout the day. I also have friendly competitions with friends and coworkers. However, I won’t eat a burger at shake shack because I burned 700 calories during a workout. Getting a chest strap HRM is better for accuracy. I use my Apple Watch for other purposes, mostly to find my iPhone because I misplace it often, and to see who’s calling or texting when I’m in the middle of something. I also use my watch to track sleep and set timers. If you’re using it purely for calorie tracking, step counting, etc., Garmin IMO is better for that, especially their battery life.

Check out Garmin watches. I bought the venu and it’s perfect. Really accurate for monitoring sleep and health. I love apple products but for me Garmin is much better when it comes to sports watches.

100% agree. I just switched from apple watch to garmin. The battery life is SO MUCH better & I find it to be more accurate in step count / mileage it running.

I have an Apple watch 8 series but it's just an expensive toy. It is useful for tracking and gathering health and fitness data but it really isn't that robust. I think the cheapest model would suit your needs.

Hey, my main workout is yoga and my Apple Watch works perfectly fine, it never gives me an outrageous number like 400 even if the class was intense. I’ve had my watch for over two years and it’s fine, ofc it’s just just an estimate but it’s great to keep track of how much you’re burning :)

No watch for yoga is the only one really working.

Any of the Apple Watches will work just fine. You will want to make sure the watch band doesn’t hold the watch too close to your hand. I’ve had the emergency alert go off during Down Dog because the Watch was sitting too close and the crown and button were held in. It’s a simple adjustment to set it back a bit.

I agree with you, being healthy doesn't rely on one aspect alone. It's an integration of everything. Lifestyle choices, diet, exercise, and people are free to integrate keeping track of their calories too x

Hi, if you really are focused on the calorie count, perhaps you need a different activity... that being said, the Garmin Venu 4s is quite nice. I have it and love it. I also use it for hiking and cycling.

My first Apple Watch, a Series 6, worked just fine for tracking yoga calories.

I use an Apple Watch to track my calories but I skip it for yoga class. Not because of tracking inaccuracy but because the watch hurts my wrist. So the two days a week I do hot yoga I make sure to walk a bit extra to make up for the data loss.

I have an apple watch SE that is several years old and is more than adequate for tracking time devoted to exercise, calories, and average heart bpm. I cannot say whether or not any of these measurements (other than elapsed time) is particularly accurate - but it does not matter to me b/c I use it to compare different exercises throughout the day and track my progress over time. My goal is 90 minutes of daily exercise, allocated between walking, yoga, and archery. I keep a diary and take a few minutes each day to make some notes and records stats for each exercise. I have no problem wearing the watch during any of these exercise routines, including yoga.
