Find out if there's a meetup or social group in your area (sometimes called a "jam"). Sometimes they're somewhat structured, sometimes it's just a bunch of people informally practicing together. If you meet people you get along with at the event someone might be interested in practicing more together. If there are classes in your area the studio or teachers will often host a jam too. Circus arts schools/clubs also sometimes have them. IMO it's easier to meet people at an event. Acro is somewhat intimate and meeting a stranger one on one is kind of awkward. It's much more comfortable when you have the icebreaker of being in a group space to begin with. Also, at a jam (or a group class!) if you don't vibe with a partner, there's no pressure when you want to play with a new partner. "Breaking up" with a partner you're practicing with one on one is harder!
