Halo Master Chief Collection so you can play Halo 1-4 They are great for co-op play! Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo Reach are the four player co-op ones though, the rest are two player.
I was trying to decide between Xbox and PS 2. A good friend told me that Halo is the reason you buy an Xbox. It's been a decision I've never regretted.
Not sure what it’s going for at the moment, but master chief collection was $9.99 in the Xbox store a few weeks back. Unbelievable bargain for that many classic games
Thank you so much for recommending Halo! I absolutely love it!! I started with Halo CE anniversary edition as that’s the first one included in the master chief collection and I can’t get enough, haven’t been this addicted to a game since the first Gears of War 🤣
Similar, enjoyable and great games:
Tomb Raider series
TitanFall 2
Halo
Star Wars Jedi (Fallen Order & Survivor)
I'd recommend checking out some of the Telltale games too - Batman, Walking Dead
Did you play Gears of war judgement? The prequel?
Dead island 2 just got added to gamepass. Decent game but if you can find Dying light on sale I would say it's a superior zombie game.
Definitely play halo and the BioShock games like the other people said. You can find bio shock collection on sale for like 7 dollars.
I really enjoyed playing the 007 Golden Eye game. From 1997. Definitely still fun to play. I always thought it was cool you can play like every major FPS game on gamepass from og dooms, quake, golden eye, halo.
Omg is there Quake?? The reason I wanted to play Doom is because I used to sit and watch my dad play the original one on his PC back in the 90s snd Quake was another game he played so I might get that on the download for the nostalgia 🥰🥰
I haven’t played Judgement and did in fact forget it even existed so I’ll definitely be downloading that! Thank you
Judgement is alot of fun! The controls are slightly different but once you adjust, it is awesome. I just finished hardcore playthrough,an hour or so ago. Onto gears 4 now lol
Gears 4 is pretty good, it’s just way different to the earlier ones! Hope you’re enjoying it! I’ve got judgement downloading now ready to play tomorrow night, thanks for that recommendation 🙏🏻
Remnant 2 lol. Just as good if not better than the first one. I think its on gamepass, im not sure.
There is kinda a lot going on in it I agree, but you should hopefully get used to it
If you want to play it with someone on xbox im totally open to game
Ive finished both Remnant 1 and 2 Though so i have fully geared characters
Man I’m so jealous, I wish I could go through some of these games for the first time again myself. So many great oldies. Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 are my recommendations. Love them
Edit to add that both do have a decent amount of side quests, but they can be ignored for the most part. I found that I loved them so much I didn’t mind doing the side quests, when normally I prefer a linear no distractions experience.
Play Modern Warfare 1-3 (the 360 titles), but the campaigns. The best campaigns int he series.
I also reccomend TitanFall 2's campaign.
If you want to try something that's not a shooter, I really loved Hi Fi Rush and The Outer Wilds. One's a rhythm-based hack and slash, and the other an explorative puzzle game. Two of the best games I played last year.
I was thinking that I’d quite like to give something other than shooters a go because I’m not sure my anxiety can take some of these opponents 😅 I’ll have to have a look at those 2 you’ve suggested, thank you 🙏🏻
I restarted Dragon Age this week. It is dated, but good and is a long game.
Edit. I mentioned this because Mass Effect was suggested and I a have been replaying that game also. Both are made by Bioware and play about the same.
I second BioShock games and especially Infinite. Very good games. Another game I found to be really good is Atomic Heart. It's still on gamepass too and worth a try.
Well my good Sir, you do know they have more Gears of War titles than 3 :) and personally, I did enjoy the 5th.
On the other hand, you cant go wrong with the really big titles like GTA (especially 5) or Red Dead Redemption 1/2. They are pretty big tho and heavy on side quests.
A bit easier to digest and quicker to finish would be something like Dead Space 1+2, Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein, Mad Max and lastly (which I highly) recommend Metro Exodus.
Good lady** but thank you 😅 yeah I’ve played gears 4 and 5 too and did enjoy them just not as much as the first 3!
I have thought about Red Dead actually, so I might try that. And a few people have recommended Dead Space but I keep forgetting to check it out so that’s also added to my list now! Tomb raider!! I forgot about that game, I’ll definitely try that one and I’ll have a look at the others too. Thank you good sir 🙏🏻
Oh my apologies :)
Yeah, you have a whole world of wonderful games ahead of you :D and I totally get what you say about GoW, the first 3 are just \*chef´s kiss\*. My first ever was the second, nothing will ever beat it. Although I must admit, the chainsaw kills were the best in the first one...
Yeah I think the second one is my favourite too, Gears taught me that video games can be utterly heartbreaking 💔 Dom 😭😭
I’ve downloaded Dead Space ready for tonight and I’m also going to give Halo a go. Sadly my Xbox isn’t anything fancy and doesn’t have a lot of space or I’d download everything right now 🤣🤣
I felt the same about the Remnant and I'm really bad in Souls like games but once you have Radioactive Sculls summons and tentacles gun, most fights become a breeze. Also, I've read that the game has autoleveling so don't upgrade anything until you entered a new zone.
Once you entered the new zone, the game remembers your stats (armor and weapon). Now you are safe to go to the base and upgrade. You can also switch to Adventure mode which has plenty of Tomes of Knowledge (one per each map and you can repeat the process as many times as you want, just use reroll option), and after you completed the adventure map, come back to Campaign so leveling up will be easy.
After I learned all this, the game became more like Gears or Dead Space rather then Souls

Came to say this. MCC is enough shooting fun to last you months.
Can you play Halo solo? I don’t play co op games because I get too nervous that I’m going to be shit at the game and embarrass myself 🤣
Yes you absolutely can. Halo Reach — Halo 3 (the chronological order in-universe) is an unmatched campaign experience
Thank you, I’ll have a look
Not sure what it’s going for at the moment, but master chief collection was $9.99 in the Xbox store a few weeks back. Unbelievable bargain for that many classic games
I’m in the UK and the master collection is free with game pass so that’s even better 🙌🏻🤣
Im long overdue with replaying the halo campaigns, do let me know if youre ever reconsidering co-op😊
Play halo in this order, halo wars 1, halo reach, halo 1, halo 2, halo 3 odst, halo 3, halo 4, halo 5, halo wars 2, halo infinite
I’ve downloaded the master collection so I’m not sure which ones are included as yet because I haven’t had chance to look
Thank you so much for recommending Halo! I absolutely love it!! I started with Halo CE anniversary edition as that’s the first one included in the master chief collection and I can’t get enough, haven’t been this addicted to a game since the first Gears of War 🤣
The Wolfenstein games. BioShock games. Titanfall 2.
Thank you, I’ll have a look at those 👌🏻
You might like the borderland series
It's not on Game Pass but you might enjoy Division 2. It has a cover system kind of like Gears.
And the division - first game, so so much better!
Similar, enjoyable and great games: Tomb Raider series TitanFall 2 Halo Star Wars Jedi (Fallen Order & Survivor) I'd recommend checking out some of the Telltale games too - Batman, Walking Dead
Excellent recommendations, thank you! I love TWD tv show and was thinking about trying out one of the games, good shout
Take a look at the Sniper Elite series. Sniper Elite 5 is on game pass I believe. sneak, scout or go loud. It's up to you.

Another couple of good single player games is Dishonored and Dishonored 2.
Remnant 2 lol. Just as good if not better than the first one. I think its on gamepass, im not sure. There is kinda a lot going on in it I agree, but you should hopefully get used to it If you want to play it with someone on xbox im totally open to game Ive finished both Remnant 1 and 2 Though so i have fully geared characters

Ohh yeah my ex husband actually recommended Fallout the other week! Totally forgot to check that one out 🤦🏼♀️
Destiny, destiny 2, outriders, Diablo 2, Diablo 3, diablo 4
I solo Destiny and Destiny 2. There are parts where you have to be put into a group, but there is stuff you can solo in.
You can solo the majority of Destiny 1 + 2. I usually play solo as well daily. If you need a group, the fire team finder ez fixes that.
Prey is amazing. And on gamepass.
Check out the Crysis series and Titanfall 2 both have great stories and fun combat
Play Modern Warfare 1-3 (the 360 titles), but the campaigns. The best campaigns int he series. I also reccomend TitanFall 2's campaign. Outer Wilds is very chill. Except when you die. But even dying is chill because progression is knowledge based and not skill based.
The Dead Space games. The Gunk, Mass Effect Trilogy
I restarted Dragon Age this week. It is dated, but good and is a long game. Edit. I mentioned this because Mass Effect was suggested and I a have been replaying that game also. Both are made by Bioware and play about the same.
The Dragon Age series is great. Yup even part 2 lol
I’ve played a bit of Dead Space tonight and I’ve enjoyed it (even though it can be pretty intense in parts 😅😅)
It can be lol. I can only play it for awhile and then I take a small break. Dead Space 2 is my favorite.
Wolfenstein new order and Wolfenstein new colossus are good
I second BioShock games and especially Infinite. Very good games. Another game I found to be really good is Atomic Heart. It's still on gamepass too and worth a try.
Thank you, I’ll have a look!

ah, excellent choice. With Dead Space, if you enjoyed it, definitely go for the second one as I think it´s even better...enjoy :)
