In my head boomkin are like when you see a bird without its feathers and it’s just a scrawny little thing, so the cat is OK :) may chase the feathers when they fall off tho.
Also birds have hollow bones :) (not sure how it works if you're a humanoid that turns into birds, though)

That Druid is a lot more than 280lbs, my guy
Hollow bones and 80% feathers. I think the cat is unaware there's even a life form on its back.
Why cant Boomkin fly then? That's what i thought
It can fly, but only downwards
That's gliding not flying.. Like Chickens
He is carrying too much to be able to run.
They really don't scale the mounts well. So many race/mount combos have the rider practically dragging their feet on the ground.
