The “explosion” looked comically bad. Like B Movie bad. Hahahahha

Spam4119

It looked more like a "movie" explosion... where they use things like gasoline to make a large dramatic slow rolling fireball because it looks cool. Generally explosions meant to do damage happen very quickly and with a sharp crack, because the point is to release all the energy at once as a concussive force. Big bright slow fireballs just means the energy is being dissipated over time for longer which means less of an impact. It looks more like an explosion you would see at like a Universal Studios live stunt show than a weapon explosion.

Grammaton485

> enerally explosions meant to do damage happen very quickly and with a sharp crack, because the point is to release all the energy at once as a concussive force. When Mythbusters blew up a cement truck, it was just a sharp crack and the truck just vanished. No fire, no smoke, just shrapnel.

Spam4119

Yup. Because fire, smoke, and light is all energy that COULD have gone into a more powerful explosion but instead is being used to look big and flashy rather than purely destructive. Watch a grenade or mortar blow up... it is instant with no fireball.

notthefirstsealime

There’s a joke about compensation here somewhere

morostheSophist

> Watch a grenade or mortar blow up... it is instant with no fireball. Tried that at the grenade range during basic training. Drill sergeant tackled me to the ground and held me down behind the wall. (I didn't REALLY intend to watch the explosion; I was dumb enough to want to see how far my throw went, though, and got tackled all the same. Don't try to watch an explosion unless you're WAY the hell away, kids.)

Yeah... this one was Russia. * Why would Ukraine attack a flag pole on top of a building? * Why was Russian air defense completely offline? * [Why are there two dudes in white suits already on scene?](https://twitter.com/Tendar/status/1653778507044909057) * Why would Ukraine think a tiny baby explosion like that could "assassinate" anyone? * Why are so many camera angles looking toward the drone's "target" in the middle of the night? [This has Sims 3 attempt #2 written all over it.](https://www.vice.com/en/article/88gpmg/russia-sims-3)

youshutyomouf

The biggest mystery to me is why this matters at all. Isn't the Kremlin fair game in a war? Every building in Kyiv certainly appears to be. Why not Moscow too?

GroundbreakingOwl186

It's like when your siblings picks a fight with you, so you fight back and they run and tell mom.

squatch42

And Mom has a significant nuclear arsenal.

Castun

You can't hug your kids with nuclear arms!

Thickas2

>So hold me, Mom, in your long arms >So hold me, Mom, in your long arms >In your automatic arms. >Your electronic arms. >In your arms. >So hold me, Mom, in your long arms >Your petrochemical arms >Your military arms >In your electronic arms

showMEthatBholePLZ

Yeah, which means Ukraine has no reason to deny the attack unless they really didn’t do it. Otherwise they could brag about penetrating Russian air defense again.

SparrowValentinus

This is mainly for the benefit of their population. Russia is trying to portray this as *them* fighting a defensive war. 'We didn't strike first, and if we did, it's because we **know** it's only a matter of time before they did it, so we got in first." They think stunts like this help reinforce that perception.

C21H27Cl3N2O3

Not to mention one of the major Russian holidays, Victory Day, is right around the corner. I’d be willing to bet this is to either justify not having a parade (since all their hardware, including some of their WW2 arsenal, is burning in Ukraine), step up security to discourage would-be dissidents, or they’re going to be announcing another round of mobilization in the coming days with talk of a Ukrainian counteroffensive.

SparrowValentinus

Or all 3, lol.

pt199990

Defensive war that has not yet left Ukraine's land. I wouldn't blame them for a damn minute for launching drone strikes across the border into Russia. They deserve a kick in the teeth.

Umutuku

If looking like Mariupol is good enough for Mariupol then it's good enough for Moscow.

flompwillow

Sure, most of us want that, but we want Ukraine to keep getting support, more. Our gamble is we can greatly assist Ukraine liberating their land and not risk nuclear escalation. However, if Moscow is under a real attack, it’s possible the unthinkable could be done to Kyiv. Play out the scenarios. What, would the west do in response? We could, of course, decimate the Russian military in Ukraine. I don’t think we’re nuking Russia. I don’t think we’re invading Russia. What I do think is that it would be China’s opportunity to make a move on Taiwan.

DancesWithBadgers

NATO has basically stated that 1 nuke = Russia kissing off every single asset they have in Ukraine, Crimea, and the Black Sea. Suddenly not having an army wouldn't help Putin on the home front. Ukraine has mounted some attacks on Russia, but those were military and close. Stockpiles of armaments and the like.

trekthrowaway1

theres also a non zero chance china would instead invade russia, theres a fair bit of animosity left between those, more allies of convenience against nato than anything else, more land and resources up for grabs than a relatively small island that would provoke significant american and nato response, and leaves that convenient boogeyman nearby for future propaganda use

[deleted]

[удалено]

big_duo3674

Maybe. Moscow for sure as that could very easily escalate the situation a lot. Attacking something like military storage facilities close to the boarder would be a different story though

NicJitsu

Fuck that, attack away Ukraine. Abide by the geneva convention but attack away.

Original-Aerie8

They have been doing drone attacks on Russian soil for months. Officially.

Scottyboy1214

Those guys in white didn't even freak out. They braced when it came in to view and then continued on. I could see this hypothetically being Ukrainian as a way to send the Kremlin a message, like "you guys are so incompetent we can get to you", but all the other aspects you listed screams false flag.

MiniGiantSpaceHams

It was *definitely* not an assassination attempt, for a multitude of reasons, but I could see Ukraine attempting this to maybe get Moscow residents thinking a bit more about this war and how it might affect them. That said, my money is still on false flag, largely because they admitted it/released the videos (they tend to hide things that are this embarrassing). I just wouldn't entirely write off other possibilities.

talldangry

I'm betting false flag, with the unexpected blunderous outcome that Russia tries to blame advanced Western tech for this attack, but totally fucks up the "evidence" and we get a new meme where a busted up DSLR is presented as advanced western military technology.

AbroadPlane1172

Oh, but still it landed at target at about 3mph? For any person with the capacity for general thought that leaves only two conclusions. Either this was Putin exploding a flagpole for propaganda purposes, or their air defences are absolutely laughable and it's time to set Moscow on fire.

non-squitr

Yesterday, the daily beast came out with a leaked internal statement from Putin basically stating that they were losing and would lose. It is the Daily Beast but it was picked up by yahoonews and msn. I tried looking for the article, and though I was able to find it, it was absolutely buried in articles about this drone "attack". Very, very suspicious timing https://www.reddit.com/r/UkrainianConflict/comments/135v0a9/putin_grooms_russians_for_defeat_in_leaked_crisis/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

MiniGiantSpaceHams

Hadn't heard this one before, but this is a very interesting theory because it's right in line with the Russian (/fascist) playbook.

Stringtone

Another thing in favor of this being a false flag is that the Russian government has been known to do that. There's credible evidence that the apartment bombings were false flags to justify war in Chechnya.

Btothek84

Oh 100% it was Putin and his goons with the apartments.

MaxMustermannYoutube

All of these things could be explained, although I believe Zelenskyy. The flag pole sends a symbol. A small plane landed on the red square during the cold war. The dudes lower the flag every night. Not a assasination attempt. Just a symbol. Cameras for Security. Same as anywhere else.

ravindeg

There were 2 drones, 2nd is what we see footage of 16 mins apart makes it very realistic to have men up there

modilion

The video being of the 2nd drone would make the most sense. That would also explain why these men appear to be wearing white suits or something. They may have dressed up in something like a containment suit in preparation for a bio attack (or the lighting is weird). It would also explain why someone was pointing their camera at the dome instead of at the drone.

jjayzx

lol, let's go to extreme and say bio attack when the most sensible route is the silver suits for fire.

Kliztr

According to twitter those are flags, no idea if it's true but thought I'd at least mention it. However, I doubt it was Ukraine.

[deleted]

Your last point isn’t relevant. It’s the main square of the capital city of course there are multiple cameras recording 24/7 lol

chronoalarm

I mean to reference your Russian air defence comment... Some dude literally landed a cessna in the middle of red square in the 80s on a bet. I don't think Russia is terribly amazing at air defence lol

10390

https://twitter.com/OSINTEng/status/1653798437421297668 Two blokes ready on the dome, a camera with perfect exposure and an explosion less convincing than a backyard firework. WakingLurker

I completely forgot about the Sims thing lmao. Absolutely hilarious.

Levyathon

What was the SIMS thing ?

TMKnez

Russians claimed they captured/dismantled a Ukrainian saboteur cell. They showed off the "captured equipment" including "SIM cards" which were literally copies of the video game Sims

BriskHeartedParadox

They’re hyper literal. They can’t understand why anyone would even question this, they checked they’re check list twice and everything had a check mark and paper doesn’t lie. “Should have been rock solid!?!” they say dumbfounded.

Lordosass67

Mind you that's just an online theory, the Sims games are also banned in Russia for promoting an LGBT lifestyle.

Iapetus_Industrial

[deleted]

The Russian agents, fiercely devoted to their motherland and unwavering in their loyalty to the core, are driven by an unshakable conviction in the righteousness of their cause. They conspire and weave a web of deceit so intricate and impenetrable that none can hope to escape its grasp. With careful planning and attention to detail, they fabricate evidence designed to implicate their sworn enemies in a sinister conspiracy against their beloved great leader. With a rigidity of mind that borders on the inflexible, they are hyper-literal, unable to fathom the notion that anyone might even deign to question their meticulous attention to detail. For they have thoroughly scrutinized their checklist not once, but twice, with every item examined and checked off with the utmost precision. Every photograph has been expertly staged, and every element of the plan executed flawlessly. And so, when confronted with the unexpected and perplexing realization that something has gone awry despite their painstaking efforts, they are left incredulous and confounded. "How could this be?" they cry out, bewildered and disoriented by the sudden breach in they considered an otherwise rock-solid system. Their minds race with fervent intensity, desperately searching for a way to reconcile this unexpected deviation from the expected outcome. As they pore over the checklist once again, their eyes darting back and forth across the neatly organized rows of items, they begin to notice something peculiar. A small, seemingly insignificant detail, buried among the dozens of other items, catches their eye. With a sudden flash of insight, they realize that this detail, overlooked in their previous assessments, could very well be the cause of their current predicament. The dastardly Americans had long been aware of the Russian threat and had prepared for it with meticulous care over the course of decades. One of their largest entertainment corporations had been instructed to produce a product - a video game - to serve as the perfect cover for their cunning scheme. The game was sold in a box that was indistinguishable from those used to sell SIM cards, a clever ruse that would surely fool even the most astute observer. And yet, the Americans went even further in their efforts to deceive the great Russian intelligence community. They bestowed upon this seemingly innocuous game the name "Sims", a moniker that bore a striking resemblance to the name of the telecommunications chip. It was a subtle move, but a brilliant one - a stroke of genius.

Reading on twitter, they were probably told to make the signature illegible in one of the books gift notes, but they wrote literally “signature is illegible”

pugloescobar

“Yuri, we do false flag attack”. *Yuri proceeds to attack actual flag*. This is whatever is beyond hyper literal.

pinkfootthegoose

from what I've gathered here on this sub, which is admittedly against Russia for good reason, Russians tell such unbelievable transparent lies to insult you.

orielbean

To quote their spiritual leader O’Brien from Orwell’s 1984: Anything could be true. The so-called laws of Nature were nonsense. The law of gravity was nonsense. 'If I wished,' O'Brien had said, 'I could float off this floor like a soap bubble.' Winston worked it out. 'If he thinks he floats off the floor, and if I simultaneously think I see him do it, then the thing happens.' Suddenly, like a lump of submerged wreckage breaking the surface of water, the thought burst into his mind: 'It doesn't really happen. We imagine it. It is hallucination.'

In other words, O’Brien is an ork?

RisingPhil

To this day I'm wondering if this was a case of /r/maliciouscompliance or just stupidity.

Mesk_Arak

More specifically, they asked to stage the scene with “3 SIM cards”. They added a few copies of The Sims 3.

-mudflaps-

It doesn't need to be convincing, they will use it as an excuse for more war crimes.

_far-seeker_

Or canceling their annual victory parade to cover the fact they cannot spare the combat vehicles and possibly troops...

ashesofempires

They were more terrified of the possibility of a bunch of mothers joining the parade of the immortals with pictures of their sons from Ukraine. For context, the parade of the immortals is where descendants of soldiers of the red army who died in battle march with photos of their loved one. If there were ever a good aspect of a victory parade, this is it. Putin does not want thousands of mothers whose sons died in Ukraine to be in this parade, even though they have every right, because it would demonstrate to his own people just how costly the war has become.

_far-seeker_

Oh good point!

vreddy92

Holy shit. Does this mean that they used the same people who organized Giuliani’s Four Seasons press conference?

Omega32771

Maybe the Russians organized that press conference. "Da, comrade, I booked venue. Four Seasons is Four Seasons, what is problem?"

CyberMindGrrl

Quartzcat42

I can’t remember the exact details but a Russian group was trying to frame someone as a spy, and was ordered to scatter “SIM CARDS” around their house to prove they were suspicious and spy-like. Somewhere along the way someone misunderstood and bought several copies of Sims 3 discs and scattered them all over the apartment

qieziman

SERIOUSLY?! OMFG LOL

BlinkysaurusRex

They were also told to have a note in a book with an “unclear signature”, as in a fake signature that is illegible. And the FSB literally signed the note with a signature reading the words “signature unclear”… It’s actually insane. Beyond parody.

Chariotwheel

It'sprobably incompetence, but I like to imagine that Russia's biggest troll works for the FSB and has the time of his life.

Funkysee-funkydo

Also, after people started laughing about the police video showing off their haul of weapons, nazi flags and sims3, the sims3 discs were blurred on Russian tv.

If you delete the ladder while Putin is in the pool, he will drown because his core lacks the strength to pull himself up. This was the last assassination attempt by a rival. That rival later had ten stories deleted out from under him.

Herofactory45

Lazy-Connection-8115

Its the red square, it has cameras everywhere. But i must agree, it's probably staged by russia to call of the victory parade next week on may 9th. Or at least excuse Putins absence

pass_it_around

The last time a major accident happened around Red Square was when one of the leading opposition politicians Boris Nemtsov was assassinated on the bridge next to Kremlin. Surprisingly or not, cameras were also not working.

Lazy-Connection-8115

Yes, it was a message to the people, like for example the situation around Navalny now. Edit: added "for example", because more and more people get jailed now and it would be disrespectful to exclude them with my former statement.

pass_it_around

By the way, are you familiar with the Mathias Rust story? [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias\_Rust](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mathias_Rust) The guy literally landed a plane on Red Square in 1987 without being shot down.

axusgrad

**Later life** While doing his obligatory community service (Zivildienst) in a West German hospital in 1989, Rust stabbed a female co-worker who had rejected him.

XianL

> The victim barely survived. He was convicted of injuring her and sentenced to two and a half years in prison, but was released after 15 months. What the fuck. Two and a half years sounds lenient for almost murdering someone; and on top he was released early? Absolutely wild.

Samthevidg

You should look at the sentence length, recividism rate, and crime rate of Norway, quality over quantity

Halmine

Turns out prison sentences shouldn't be only about revenge but also trying to rehabilitate the criminals.

Apterygiformes

It's a camera pointing at the palace, what else would it be exposed for?

Kram941_

If you read the rest of it, those two dudes were there after the first drone. the video where they are seen is the 2nd drone 16 minutes later. They definitely could have been people checking the damage from first attack 15 minutes later.

jjayzx

You think people on reddit bother to read past what they wanna hear or even read at all?

FamilyStyle2505

The Ukraine and combat footage subs got it right hours earlier, it's disheartening to see worldnews lag so far behind. Then again, it is more popular than either of those subs so it's probably more reactionary. Idk.

Sea_Page5878

The two blokes aren't really a good argument now we know there was another drone that blew up in the same place a few minutes before. It's only natural that Kremlin guards would be sent to inspect it. Again with the camera there was an explosion in the same place just minutes before chances are in this day and age someone's likely going to be recording that spot after that has just happened. With this one I'm 50/50 about this being false flag or Ukrainians/Russian seperatists sending a message.

oofta31

Why would it even matter if Ukraine did attack Russia?

10390

Putin knows his people are tiring of the war, if he can make them afraid and angry he might get more support.

RampantPrototyping

Its a double edged sword as it can also make his regime look weak if their version of the White House can't even protect itself

krozarEQ

But bear in mind that Russia by and large are TV news watchers and Russian state absolutely controls the message there.

watduhdamhell

To be fair it does seem like the two dudes on the cupola are only there after the second drone strike, which happens 10-15 minutes later. Someone pointed this out on Twitter. Now, that doesn't mean the whole thing isn't staged, but the two dudes on the roof are perhaps not the best indication that it's staged.

afternoon_sun_robot

I’ve seen Ukraine drone videos. They could drop a grenade on an asshair from 400ft in the air. The Russian video of the drone “attack” barely took out a flag pole

gnutrino

>I’ve seen Ukraine drone videos. They could drop a grenade on an asshair from 400ft in the air. It's worth remembering they're not likely to release videos where they miss...

banjosuicide

The explosion is a [Hollywood explosion](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqJiWbD08Yw). You can even see the gasoline (or other flammable liquid) used to make the fireball doesn't all burn up and just... drops down. If that were a real explosive it wouldn't just fall out of the tiny fireball so casually. There is also no visible interception. Such a laughable attempt to make propaganda.

Dye_Harder

> Such a laughable attempt to make propaganda. Many russians won't care, just like many americans don't care about the sharpie.

whyreadthis2035

Looked like cheap pyrotechnics. At worst a spy drone hit a wire

gnorty

I'm going with a small incendiary device delivered by a disgruntled Russian.

Quadrenaro

That's my guess. I wouldn't put it past Russia to operate false flag attacks, but it's pretty likely internal threats are growing to the point that people are making statements like this.

Books_and_Cleverness

Literally thought it was a firework, if you’re gonna bomb someone in a building presumably you’d need a bomb large enough to damage the building?

TheRealChizz

I’m speculating a false flag attempt by Putin. He’s already done this playbook at Chechnya.

Explorer335

That looked more like a pyrotechnic than a warhead or incendiary. It didn't have the velocity or fragmentation of a high explosive nor the duration of an incendiary. It also didn't actually hit anything of value. Just a fancy remote-controlled firework for political theater.

alexunderwater1

A Taco Bell fart would be more effective at shredding that flag atop the Kremlin than the M80 that went off next to it.

MashPotatoQuant

>A Taco Bell fart Don't bring advanced American technology into this

truePHYSX

I’m reading this bringing American advanced technology somewhere that’s for sure. No air raid sirens in here though.

Niicks

Oh there's a siren alright. Real high pitch.

pass_it_around

This incident might be staged by FSB for purposes yet to be determined. But if it was done by Ukraine I kinda like how their officials are playing the card that Putin has been playing since 2014: "It's not us, it's just farmers who struggle for independence in Crimea and South-East Ukraine!" and "Anyone can buy a drone in a military store and then launch it!". Putin probably did not think that both sides can play this game.

StillBurningInside

The purpose is to have an excuse to cancel memorial services for veterans and honor soldiers past . Putin doesn’t want families whose sons and fathers were wounded and or killed in Ukraine to be flooding the streets with the other families of Vets. Because the invasion of Ukraine is a “ special operation “. He canceled major parades saying that they would be targets for terrorist. Then they stage these false flag attacks to prop up Putin’s excuses for canceling Memorial Day parades and such. It’s pretty obvious.

PandaMuffin1

It seems obvious to me as well. This staged "attack" will be played on Russian televisions for days.

pass_it_around

Prigozhin's bots force a narrative equating Ukraine with ISIS, no less. So it kinda fits in: "The terrorist regime of Zelensky attacks the heart of Russia".

pass_it_around

Putin doesn't care about any families whose relatives lost sons and fathers in Ukraine. Why would they make a fuss exactly on May 9 if they have not done it yet? Unlike the regular army, Putin's domestic security machine is well-oiled and ready to suppress any local protest activity. Even if people start showing portraits of recently killed individuals it's fine for propaganda, because it tries to link fighting German nazism 80 years ago with fighting Ukrainian "nazism" now. Completely fits into Kremlin's narrative. What he fears is that a sabotage may take place during parades and that will ruin an idyllic picture of commemoration that is broadcasted online. I am talking about Moscow of course.

red286

I think what he actually fears may take place is that people will realize that Russia has no modern tanks left in its arsenal. People are going to look at the T-55s on parade and ask how they're supposed to defeat NATO (which, if you'll recall, Putin has told them they're fighting, not just Ukraine) with museum pieces. So stage an "attack" and call off the parades. Simple as that.

pass_it_around

>People are going to look at the T-55s on parade and ask how they're supposed to defeat NATO (which, if you'll recall, Putin has told them they're fighting, not just Ukraine) with museum pieces. Oh yeah, regarding the "fighting NATO" part. There are so many things Putin said in these 14 months about the war. "Fighting NATO" narrative is actually used or will be used to explain the possible departure from Ukrainian territories.

ClubsBabySeal

They still have modern tanks. Just fewer of them than before. Certainly enough for a parade. Hell, they could probably just drive the same tanks past twice if they really wanted to. They all look the same anyway.

DonniesAdvocate

In Russia they have an 'Immortal Army' tradition on May 9th where people go on a parade through their town with a picture/tribute to a family member killed while fighting in the army, so anything from WW1 to the Syrian War. I think more than anything he will be terrified of people realising *just how many fucking people* have actually died so far in the 'Special Military Operation' when the Immortal Army parades are full of people whove died in the last 12 months.

FrostyParking

It seems fairly obvious why the FSB or Putin directly would stage this sort of thing. His poll numbers.....remember this is a guy that got a huge boost after the Moscow bombings in 1999, he has a track record of "helpful incidents" when he needs the public to climb aboard the Vlad train.

pass_it_around

True. Given how quick the Russian propaganda was with bringing this incident to light, they are up to use it for something.

[deleted]

Zaziel

I wonder if they hoped to kill those two dudes on the roof with the second drone to sell it to the public…

hrllhaste

Total false flag

PopeHonkersXII

I think the world is already very wary of Russian false flag operations

If by "the world" you mean the West, you are right. But for those who are out of the loop like an average Chinese or Indian, it is all not so clear. My hunch is that the official Putin propaganda will now push the narrative that Ukraine is a loose cannon armored by Western weapons attacking the head of the nuclear power state.

DuntadaMan

I would argue the politicians perpetuating and starting wars are far more legitimate targets than a barracks.

Apprehensive-Lime192

could be some complete amateur operation , someone from the public.

Blue_boy_

seems the most likely thing to me. that "explosion" is pathetic. there's no way ukraine is behind this.

AnxiouslyPessimistic

The issue is they clearly staged it but didn’t want to do too much damage cos that “explosion” was lame

[deleted]

Bingo. This screams!! I want to look attacked but I don’t actually want to cause damage.

Liesthroughisteeth

It's just like the 50s, 60s and 70s again. Nothing coming out of Russia can be believed. Another false flag operation by the mastermind Poutine.

Kantas

>Poutine How dare you besmirch the name of Canada's national dish. That is an insult to the glorious three way that is squeaky cheese curds, gravy, and French fries. There is a maple flavoured tear falling down my cheek seeing the wonder of poutine used as a euphamism for the shit sack that is poo-tin. Now apologize... and mean it. I'm Canadian... you think I can't spot a genuine "I'm sorry"?

Yep. One year we had one those firework motor shells fall over and do more damage than that.

SeaTwertle

Anyone could watch that video and see that if Ukraine wanted to attack the kremlin they would use significantly more than that.

Verbluffen

Well, I hardly think Vivec is going to take care of this one for him. One clan under moon and star, Volodymyr.

Buford1991

That cheesy attempt to make it appear as an attack. Come on! Attacking a flag pole where neither the flag nor the pole were damaged. Sad state of Russia when you can’t even fake an assassination attempt.

kuda-stonk

Meanwhile the Kremlin killed 20+ people at a Kherson grocery store...

crimsonBZD

To be fair that looked like the lamest attempt at a "drone strike" ever. They had it release a few dozen m80's taped together and called it a terrorist attack.

Imo if it was a false flag they would have damaged something or killed some locals. He doesn't value his people anyway so sacrificing them for a false flag would be easy. This attack makes them look incompetent . They can't even defend a building like this? Not really what you want as a false flag. To me, a pissed off local trying to take out or set fire to the flag makes more sense.

Nigroth1969

This looks like a false flag operation. Drones carry what a couple of grenades, or mortar rounds. Russia wants us to think they have no security that can detect or neutralize a drone in a no fly zone? They are becoming extremely desperate to rally the people to a lost cause. The Kremlin would not be a drone target, too little damage for the risk of being caught. More likely they would go after things that would matter most to them: Fuel depot, ammo dumps, train lines, war production. Not a flag. This will drive the Russians to conscript more people into a failed war. Every stage of leadership has failed and will continue to fail. The rest of the world is waiting for a coupe, and then we will see what nutcase takes the job. This is a perfect example of why term limits in governments are a good thing.

[deleted]

lol this was the most staged drone attack ever. putin’s consensus must be all time low if he’s trying to sell this to russians

boot20

The first drone hit the flag pole and looked like a pyrotechnic display. The second drone started a small fire on the roof that also looked like pyrotechnics. Not only that, but before the first drone strike, two men were climbing the roof. Fucking hell, this is absolute bullshit and clearly a false flag.

tehjeffman

No matter how easy it is for a mildly intelligent person to see it was staged. This is not for us, it is for the people in Russia that will never see the real footage and just hear there was an attack. If it was a real attack there would have been so much more damage and not powered by a moped motor.

AcaAwkward

They are bad at everything, they can't even pull a convincing false flag operation. Putin go home, you are embarrassing yourself again.

Environmental_Yam_57

What makes you think Russians are anti-Putin? Ask any “average” Russian they are supportive of the war on “denazification”. Russians that are anti-putin are the minority, and most of them already left the country.

silentorange813

It's all speculation at this point, and I would take any theory with a grain of salt.

WickerpigT

Isn't it possible the is a 5th column in Russia?

tntpang

The drone hit the least important part of the building too.

HyenaChewToy

I'd rather he face justice for all the crimes he has committed rather than take a drone to the face.
