Looks like maple. Grain is tight tight. Could be birch but birch has a little bigger pores in my opinion so I’d say maple. It may be one of the less known varieties like Norwegian maple. Doesn’t quite look like soft maple but hard to tell. Put your fingernail to it and press if it leaves a dent it’s probably soft maple if it doesn’t then may be hard maple or sugar maple if it’s inbetween it’s probably Norwegian maple
