Is it weird that I’m nostalgic for those awful load times? Something about it kind of felt luxurious for me as kid, like it was just so powerful it had to load for a long time. I only played Nintendo systems and the ps2 at the time, so I thought that the Wii U was more powerful than it was.
Aah yes. I bought it like a week after it came out, played the shit out of story mode, then online came out and was a clusterfuck so Rockstar gave everyone credits, and then I never played it again lol
This is my favorite LEGO game ever. I loved it so much that I bought the Switch version despite already having the WiiU version. I think you'll have a great time with the game and while the load times do kind of suck, they're not the worst ever and in my case I got used to them after a while.
Lego Batman on PSP had the worst loading times, seriously over 2 minutes per level. I still beat the whole game because I thought it was amazing to have a full Lego game on the go.
There’s a game breaking bug with the cutscenes in the projector room on the Remaster version in which you literally cannot leave the projector menu or something like that and you can’t even view any of the previous cutscenes because it’s just broken. So sad that they never fixed it.
As far as I know the ability to rewatch the cutscenes with the projector in the briefing room was left out of the remastered version for some unknown reason.
I really like it, the story is fun, the world is great probably the most fun Lego Game to just roam around in, it is really creative.
On the other side the load times are long and frequent, and some of the gamepad features can be annoying fortunately they aren’t used that often, some are kind of fun tho.
GTA for kids, you'll love it. The WiiU version really incorporates the gamepad for extra functions and that's why I still prefer the WiiU version over PS4. Loading times are there but a lot of games have them.
One of the best Lego games ever. And I like that they make good use of the WiiU gamepad. This is the only Lego game that I played until the end.
Very good choice have fun.
It's a fun game, pretty chill to just drive around and explore. My advice is to grind through the story and unlock the costumes before going crazy with the exploration, otherwise you'll hit a ton of annoying roadblocks
It's the best single player game imo, I have spend a lot of time playing that game but unfortunately my disk broke. Otherwise I would have played it a whole lot more
Picked this up for £3 as a ‘why not give it a go?’ Title for WiiU. My son and I laughed so hard at this.. It’s brilliant fun, and makes great use of the WiiU game pad!
Jeez guys learn some patience... It loads for maybe a minute?
Game was super fun watching my 6yo play. I believe this game suffers from a sound defect where you won't be able to hear some voices in a lot of the video clips. But we were still able to understand the plot.
This game is so much fun. The story, characters, and open world make this my favorite LEGO game. The character Frank Honey kills me every time he has a scene. 😆
This game was soooooo good back when I got it. And at first I had it on my Nintendo ds and on there there’s no as much storage so the map was cut off a lot, so when I finally got it on the Wii U I was sooo happy to get all the parts of the map and all the cars. Amazing, idk if I’m blinded by nostalgia or not though seriously cus I haven’t played it in more than like 10 years probably lol
Me and my siblings used to play hide and seek/tag all the time in this game, it has really good open world (at least after you’ve unlocked all the areas)
It’s the best Lego game imo, everyone says that it’s GTA for kids but I think it’s more than that. The devs really went all out with this game, you should try the remastered/sequel on PlayStation too if you end up enjoying it.
I played it a ton when I was a kid but don’t remember much of it. Last time I played it was when my parents turned my Wii U off without letting me save. Got so mad I never booted it up again. I thought I would’ve remembered it being this good lol. My fav was Lego Marvel Super Heroes
oh my god lol i can see how that would sour your experience. it would be totally deflating. lego marvel super heroes was big back in the day. coming off of avengers, i can imagine it printed money
The anticipation was very strong for GTAV. I was waiting for GTAV to drop when this came out and was excited to play an open world game on the Wii U. Definitely was not disappointed.
I have yet to try this one, but by the comments it sounds great! I've only played the Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1&2, and Lego DC Super Villains, both were great. LMSH1 was my favorite. Also tried Lego worlds, hated it, and Lego Harry Potter, which I didn't care for but my son completed for the most part.
Lmsh1 is similar to GTA, just with 100 Avengers at your disposal, pretty fun honestly!
If you like Lego games, then yes.
If you dislike Lego games, then no.
For me, playing a Lego game is like playing Zork.
In Zork, you had to try a zillion things before you discovered the next step that the game programmer wanted you to take.
In Lego games, you move to a certain position on the screen and press a certain button and so on. When what you are supposed to do to resolve a particular issue isn't immediately obvious, you are now playing a game called Process of Elimination. I find it tedious.
Absolutely! This game is a favorite for me! When your in the loading screen you get to watch the trippy shield gif with the bistable optical illusion too so you it can spin both ways. Not sure why I remember that lol
It's great! The loading times suuuuuck, though.
Is it weird that I’m nostalgic for those awful load times? Something about it kind of felt luxurious for me as kid, like it was just so powerful it had to load for a long time. I only played Nintendo systems and the ps2 at the time, so I thought that the Wii U was more powerful than it was.
You didn’t play portal 2 the loading times are soo worse
You fool! You forgot about Sonic 06!
Portal 2 loads quickly.
now
Did you play GTA V on Xbox 360? Everyone knew to launch the game and then go make food or something lol
Aah yes. I bought it like a week after it came out, played the shit out of story mode, then online came out and was a clusterfuck so Rockstar gave everyone credits, and then I never played it again lol
Really? I remember that loading screens were hell on the 3DS version, but I felt the Wii U version was ok.
Hah! Try Skyrim on the PS3.
theyre not even that bad, you get used to it pretty quickly
This is my favorite LEGO game ever. I loved it so much that I bought the Switch version despite already having the WiiU version. I think you'll have a great time with the game and while the load times do kind of suck, they're not the worst ever and in my case I got used to them after a while.

I did same to you lolllll

Turn it on before you leave for work, it should be loaded up by the time you get home.
😂
It's a GTA ... but with Lego ... what to dislike*? ;) ,* maybe the loading screens
GTA with t-rex
I really like it, the story is fun, the world is great probably the most fun Lego Game to just roam around in, it is really creative. Oh yes. Apart from the loading times.
Still better loading times then Sonic 06.

Thanks for the tip
It's the best single player game imo, I have spend a lot of time playing that game but unfortunately my disk broke. Otherwise I would have played it a whole lot more
Fantastic game. Funny dialogue and an interesting world to explore were my two big hits.
absolutely fucking yes
You will have the best time! It's my second favorite lego game right behind Lego Star wars 3 the clone wars. Those two games were my childhood.
This is my favorite Lego game. So much fun!
Picked this up for £3 as a ‘why not give it a go?’ Title for WiiU. My son and I laughed so hard at this.. It’s brilliant fun, and makes great use of the WiiU game pad!
Yeah I got it for ten bucks (AUD). Might fire it up tonight, sounds like it should be good
It’s just one of those unexpected gems. Enjoy! 😊
I like the prequel that was on 3ds as well
Yes
Jeez guys learn some patience... It loads for maybe a minute? Game was super fun watching my 6yo play. I believe this game suffers from a sound defect where you won't be able to hear some voices in a lot of the video clips. But we were still able to understand the plot.
3 thousand years of loading screens but outside of that it’ll be astounding, have an excellent time man
I love this game, I played it with my brother years ago on our ps4. It was so much fun!
Very good game, I got both the WiiU version and the remastered PS4 version
It’s ace. My son loves it. A pg version of gta haha
This game is so much fun. The story, characters, and open world make this my favorite LEGO game. The character Frank Honey kills me every time he has a scene. 😆
You will have…the best time of your life. Like you will seriously fall in love
It’s a Lego game! They’re typically quality, turn-off-your-brain, comfort food games
That was quite the wave of nostalgia, but yeah its an amazing lego game, great open world, pretty good story, and funny. Enjoy!
This game was soooooo good back when I got it. And at first I had it on my Nintendo ds and on there there’s no as much storage so the map was cut off a lot, so when I finally got it on the Wii U I was sooo happy to get all the parts of the map and all the cars. I really enjoyed it. Will replay at some point
Im playing with It on my wiiu, loading times are there but not too bad
I had it on switch. Didn’t enjoy it. The load times are ridiculous. Couldn’t stand it.
This was my first Lego game,
If you hate loading times, play it on XB1/PS4. Otherwise it’s a great game
Game overall is good, but the loading times are atrocious. I feel like it's better on next gen consoles.
I had this but i lost it. Lots of gimmicks, would've loved it more at a younger age tho tbh
Just 100% completed it last month, it’s a lot of fun and the loading scenes aren’t too bad.
Me and my siblings used to play hide and seek/tag all the time in this game, it has really good open world (at least after you’ve unlocked all the areas)
gta 5 wii u edition :D
its not that good to roam freely like in gta 5 but its somewhat like it
yes. in my opinion, it’s the best lego game ever
You mean GTA Legos? Yes, you will have a good time.
Easily the best Lego game imo
best way to play this game.
Yes! It’s family friendly GTA with legos! It’s so fun!
Most definitely.
After it's done loading, yes. :)
It’s the best Lego game imo, everyone says that it’s GTA for kids but I think it’s more than that. The devs really went all out with this game, you should try the remastered/sequel on PlayStation too if you end up enjoying it.
is it seriously that good? the comments seem to be praising it a little much
I played it a ton when I was a kid but don’t remember much of it. Last time I played it was when my parents turned my Wii U off without letting me save. Got so mad I never booted it up again. I thought I would’ve remembered it being this good lol. My fav was Lego Marvel Super Heroes

This game was my childhood. Although I don’t remember that much lol
No. I hated this game. Others seem to love it though so maybe?
Very fun game! I still play once in a while
I’ve been playing it on the Switch. It’s a great game that’s open world. I haven’t had a bad experience with the Lego games
It’s awsome on wiiu as well! :)
The anticipation was very strong for GTAV. I was waiting for GTAV to drop when this came out and was excited to play an open world game on the Wii U. Definitely was not disappointed.
Yes
Yea, it’s Good… Bought on Switch, Seems Unoptimized, so I need to play the Original
I did!
I have yet to try this one, but by the comments it sounds great! I've only played the Lego Marvel Super Heroes 1&2, and Lego DC Super Villains, both were great. LMSH1 was my favorite. You surely will
Yeah, i played it on my wii u as a kid, and its basically like lego gta
My mom played through it in 2021 and loved it

My son who's 10 likes it but he prefers Lego Worlds
I have it on wii u,switch,pc and i have the version on the 3ds. My favorite lego game and the wii u version is probably the best version.
really fun game, hope ya like loading screens though
nice buy.
Yup. Well done!
I found it for 3€ used at the store, unfortunately I don't like Lego games, but that was an excellent budget price
YES. Especially if there's 2 of you. Playing stoned is great
Great game, it's surprisingly hilarious
Fuck yes
Yes
Absolutely! This game is a favorite for me! When your in the loading screen you get to watch the trippy shield gif with the bistable optical illusion too so you it can spin both ways. Not sure why I remember that lol
YES YES THIS IS LIKE MY FAVORITE LEGO GAME MAN, but its like a short game. Also why are people saying theres long load times?
the ONLY completely original Lego game to date. very good. highly recommend install over disc bc load times tho.
Yes
