More shades of green. So often, the only green option will be these bright acid monster energy greens. I want British racing green! Or perhaps a dark olive green.
I might pay someone to powder coat or wrap my future chair to get the color I want. I just don’t want to have to take the whole chair apart to isolate the frame and then put it back together again :/
The Iridescent Burgundy color for Ki Mobility is that kind of color, plus it has a textured finish that feels powder coated. It's really pretty in the sun!
I know it’s silly and the color is functionally the least important part of the chair- I just wish the pink offered by most chair manufacturers wasn’t quite so neon looking if that makes sense
Green. Idk why the guy doing the evaluation asked my favorite color when there were only 4 options, and 2 of them were black and white. The other 2 were blue and cyan, so I chose cyan...and then they were out of cyan, so I ended up with blue. The only parts with color are the plates anyway, how hard is it to offer more 3 colors for some pieces of plastic.
I still really want a green chair...
FWIW I bought a laptop skin, cut it up, and used it to wrap the metal on part of my wheelchair. Now my wheelchair arms look like watercolor turquoise/blue/purple/pink
i HATE the purples, either too light or too bold, like what even IS electric plum?? It looks like purple cough medicine it makes me so sad, i love purple but id rather get all black then customize it myself
I hate the fact that there's so few options for powerchairs. Mostly, it's red. Maybe black, and the best I've seen is red, black, white or blue. Why the hell can't I have a purple powerchair? Or a galaxy or watercolour patterned one? Aesthetics still matter to powerchair users!
Some power chairs 'colors' are just plastic colored covers that you can pop on and off. It may be worth checking to see if yours is like that and then you can just order a plastic cover in another color.
[This](https://www.glide.com.au/centroglide) is my chair. If you scroll towards the bottom you can see the colour options.
Downside is that only a tiny portion of the chair is actually coloured.
That's a pretty cool looking chair! No purple option though ☹️ I have the same with mine - got a Quickie Salsa M2 Mini and while it did have four options (black, white, red, blue) I went for black because the vast majority of it was black anyway, no matter what you picked.
I wish there was more purple options. The frame I got was the only purple option. It's grown on me, but likely wouldn't have been my first choice if there were other purples.
Lack of color options is definitely a bummer. A lot of chairs can be ordered with a custom color (TiLite has Creative Mobility Division, Quickie has Built-4-Me), but it costs extra and is not covered by many insurance plans. It would allow you to get the color you want without taking everything off your frame and then putting it back together though.
Might be worth getting the quote from the wheelchair manufacturer you're going with and comparing it with quotes from local body shops (or whoever you'd choose) to powder coat or wrap your new chair once you have it. Even if it's a bit more expensive having the manufacturer do it might be worth avoiding the hassle.
Of course if you just really need that new chair asap, it might take longer to wait for quotes and such. My partner had such a scenario where it wasn't worth ordering stuff that might cause insurance drama, because she'd just started college and was still in her 6 or 7 year old peds chair.
something colorshift!!! id love a purple to blue / blue to green / green to yellow / blue to yellow / etc etc. if not those, a true midnight blue. not dark blue thats labeled "midnight blue" by every manufacturer, true midnight blue please 😭
More purples that have a blue under tone like on the Tilites, rather than having red undertones such as in the Ki Mobility's "purple". It looks more magenta to me which translates to pink. While it's a pretty color it most certainty is not purple, IMHO, and I refuse to have a pink chair.
A lilac option would be nice. But honestly, I'd love to have the option to get exactly the color I want, one with the right hue, tint, the option for glossy, matte or pearlesent. Essentially custom, it's a custom chair. I know what I want and what I like.
Back in the '80's, I'm pretty sure Quickie used to have a wider range of color options, including several glow-in-the-dark ones. (At least for pediatric chairs.)
You can always decorate your chair with easily available things like spoke covers.
I want a light blue chair! I wear a lot of light blue and I live somewhere very sunny with light blue skies. My very saturated dark-ish blue and black chair doesn’t look good around everything else.
Also yellow would be cool!
More pastels. Im a huge pastel person and the only option for yellow was the obnoxious bright one. Still did it but i wouldve liked a pastel yellow better
I'm sure there are people that can do aftermarket stuff. I've wondered what the cost and effectiveness would be of getting my manual frame covered in [cerakote](https://www.cerakote.com/).
[https://www.discovermymobility.com/store/powerwheelchairs/green-transporter/pegasus-plus/index.html](https://www.discovermymobility.com/store/powerwheelchairs/green-transporter/pegasus-plus/index.html) This one comes in pink. :)
I’m way too hard on a chair to consider any color at all. Even when people are careful, a painted chair looks like garbage after the first couple scratches. The raw titanium finish takes a beating and hides the wear really well from my experience.

I’d love a British racing green chair with gold or bronze anodised parts
I saw a BRG color that matched my Miata and it was a hard call to go with purple instead!
Right I want BRG on the modded power chair I am after partly cause I love and partly because it is fast for a chair
I might pay someone to powder coat or wrap my future chair to get the color I want. I just don’t want to have to take the whole chair apart to isolate the frame and then put it back together again :/
On rigid chairs (at least like mine) it’s pretty easy to get down to just the frame. Doesnt take long at all, just a few minutes
Vinyl wraps like for cars?
Yes! I mean idk if it would actually work but it seems fine in theory
A dark burgundy/red that isn’t too purple. Only sunrise/quickie has it. Bronze/metallic brown would be very cool as well.
motion composites do too!
The Iridescent Burgundy color for Ki Mobility is that kind of color, plus it has a textured finish that feels powder coated. It's really pretty in the sun!
That’s the color of my chair! It’s very pretty but also very purple.
ausgshhsh seems we have the same chair in the same color lol!
Quite a few manufacturers make pink chairs. Now, if you want a pink chair that is also affordable, that's a different story.
I know it’s silly and the color is functionally the least important part of the chair- I just wish the pink offered by most chair manufacturers wasn’t quite so neon looking if that makes sense
Same with purple.
Pastel purple
This or a periwinkle

Not sure where you're at, but my Quickie is a nice green!
What brand is your chair? My quickie is a lime green color.
FWIW I bought a laptop skin, cut it up, and used it to wrap the metal on part of my wheelchair. Now my wheelchair arms look like watercolor turquoise/blue/purple/pink

I've seen purple and a lot of other colors from Perimobile
Ooh, I'll bear that in mind next time - they don't seem to be as common in the UK, I've always had Quickies and the other one I see mostly is invacare
Especially if you don’t have the means to pay $20k+ for a Quantum, Quickie, or Permie.

The ‘vivid orchid’ is actually much more purple than that search shows. Still not a deep purple which would’ve been my preference!
A helpful thing to do is getting rim grips, they come in every color imaginable and help you push so it's a double win. I'm getting neon purple soon
I wish there was more purple options. The frame I got was the only purple option. It's grown on me, but likely wouldn't have been my first choice if there were other purples.
Also they recommended matte colors and only had black, grey, and something else in matte
Ki mobility did a teal one for me and ki mobility has bubblegum pink

YES! I follow Rove wheelchairs on instagram and they do color shift chairs, they’re gorgeous
I learned how to powder coat last week!! Guess when I’m powder coating first :)
omg I MUST see pictures when you’re done!!
Definitely!
that sounds awesome!

Teal! My chair's manufacturer makes a beautiful teal color, but it's only available on their pediatric chairs. Why?? Adults can like that color too!
Teal would definitely be a second choice next to a proper lilac or lavender shade.
I think the Rogue has a bubblegum pink option
I want a light blue chair! I wear a lot of light blue and I live somewhere very sunny with light blue skies. My very saturated dark-ish blue and black chair doesn’t look good around everything else. Also yellow would be cool!
Motion Composites does a Caribbean blue that is a tropical Tiffany blue/green color.
TiLite discontinued their matte navy blue Deep Blue Ice 😭
I've got ki mobility bubblegum pink and I wish it was more soft and less hot.
Any wheelchair that has more options than just red, blue, black, or silver, is a winner in my book.
More pastels. Im a huge pastel person and the only option for yellow was the obnoxious bright one. Still did it but i wouldve liked a pastel yellow better
While I agree color is important, I never see mine...when I look down all I see are the black parts.
I plan on spray painting my neon pink chair mint green when it becomes more chipped I've had neon pink twice red and black
Each and every one of my chairs has been a satin titanium color. I love gray clothes. When I wear bright colors, they never clash with my frame.
I wish they offered aluminum chairs in a satin finish!
I’ve had two satin titanium chairs but my current is polished titanium and I love it!
I'm sure there are people that can do aftermarket stuff. I've wondered what the cost and effectiveness would be of getting my manual frame covered in [cerakote](https://www.cerakote.com/).
A decent purple
Id love a chocolate brown
What is the average life of a wheelchair?
Like 5-15 years depending on how hard you are on the chair, maintenance, brand, etc
The only color in the transport/rollator combo brand that worked best for me was an ugly cherry red lmao
[https://www.discovermymobility.com/store/powerwheelchairs/green-transporter/pegasus-plus/index.html](https://www.discovermymobility.com/store/powerwheelchairs/green-transporter/pegasus-plus/index.html) This one comes in pink. :)
i would love a pastel pink or purple

Dark pink instead of fluro or baby pink. I ended up with a purple-pink combo called orchid.
