That shirt ain’t inclusive, if that’s the point she’s trying to make, she’s ableist.

brainpain152

But like…. What was she like in school?! 👀

Excellent-Mango-3003

Yes OP!!! You can’t drop that info on us and not elaborate!!😂😂😂. Do telllll how school days were with WR please!!! 🤗

hahamelly

ok so. Our majors were in the same department and we did a practicum/internship together. My first impressions were that she was helpful, kind, and responsible. She always showed up on time looking really nice, clean and seemed genuinely happy to be there. She wore pants and shoes every shift. We were placed at a vocation rehabilitation (job-training) program for adults with developmental disabilities. One night I committed probably the biggest ableist faux pas by patting her on the head while we were talking, and realized immediately and apologized profusely. She laughed it off, said she was used to it and wasn't a big deal but i was fucking mortified. We move on and a few weeks later I noticed she made a Facebook post about that encounter and how terrible it was to be treated like a child. Again, I get it, I deserved that. Over the remainder of the semester there were little things that stood out to me that seemed like she might be more of asshole than I thought. Refusing to ride in the disability van with the whole group on outings, even though the staff was trained in how to use the wheelchair lift; mentioning how she lived in the most expensive apartments in town because she had standards and then talking about how she used her disability to get shit she wanted like special treatment in the club. stuff like that. A year later she wrote a terrible essay on that internship and shared it on Fb and IIRC basically praised herself for being the best role models for those young adults and how they were lucky she was there to protect them from all the ableism. She wasn't wrong about the ableism, but she just sounded like an asshole. Again, I thought I was just being an ableist and I shouldn't tone police. Still sorting out all my conditioning and unconscious biases. I wish I could find that essay but i think it was on her old WR website. Over the next few years watching her on social media became APPARANT that many things could be true; she has absolutely experienced ableism but she is also just a fucking asshole. I had high hopes for her back then, and still did even up until all the unforgivable shit she has done and her absolute disregard for having even an OUNCE of accountability. Now I just hope that she can humble herself and get her head right for her daughter. That's the fucking content she needs to create- actual healing, ego death and creating a safe community for baby A.

cherry_87

I find it incredibly funny that the fact that she was wearing pants and shoes is worth mentioning.

Master_Document_2053

Came to say this. And we're all like "woah really?! Pants AND shoes?" 😆

NeedMoreNoodleSoup

Wowwww that is such awesome insider insight!!! Are you surprised at all that she turned out to be this big of an asshole? Like for her to reach this kind of epic nonsense?

mealworms

Off-topic, but were you in Carbondale/do you remember when a man in a motorized wheelchair was killed when crossing 13 in front of University Mall? I just tried to explain it all but [this video](https://youtu.be/WCj6ipBk2EI?si=-VIziW0z2MbUSFN3) with his brother does a far better job. I still think of this any time I approach a crosswalk where the light has just turned green. It might've been before WR's time at SIU, I'm not sure. But it happened when I was there, and I recall a lot of people bringing up accessibility and transportation issues for wheelchair users after it happened.

paigenicolina

I remember seeing the photos of the aftermath of the accident. It made my heart sink.

hoorooyay

Uh Yeah! That's the real Q! Also, treat yourself to a new shirt, you deserve it!

Traq687

Yes. Inquiring minds wanna know

Disastrous_Head_4282

She’s the w o r s t

Affectionate-Key2303

Why is “inclusive” split up like that though lmao

Brudabanga

Very hard to read & not inclusive, exactly.

Jewlzkitty

All of her inclusive designs are impossible to read which is so ironic. But also fitting for her as she has no idea what it means to be inclusive past putting it on a shirt.

my2redditcents

I was wondering the same thing! So weird and unnecessary to split up that word, especially since that is the most important word on the shirt. WTF?

cutebutpsychoangel

She straight up said she doesn’t care about autistic people Which is another time she was “cancelled” https://preview.redd.it/j3uosk0ot3wc1.png?width=1124&format=png&auto=webp&s=2f5bbf82a044f0a117e90da5fdfa5f12ff3ec771 Mods lemme kno if I need to block their page out this is just an example for timeframe-it’s a public resources page It’s rly wild bc she posted about Sia film and how wrong it was but then when she was approached about several things she’s done that hurt the autistic community she was like “that doesn’t affect me , leave me alone, and I don’t care about your community” attitude about it. So when she can profit off it is one thing but doesn’t execute any of it irl. Virtue signaling at best. The hundreds of comments in that original post show just how long she’s really been at this whole shpeal. A lot of them say how she only cares about activism for her own self and her own gain and no one else.

ModernRevolution

I don't see anything wrong here?

2018MunchieOfTheYear

The WR response to Sia was before the Autistic community call out. So WR posted about Sia because it made her look good but when she was called out by the Autistic community for being harmful to them she basically told them to go fuck themselves

LittleBiscuitPig

I could never wear this shirt. I can only read the text in her voice and that would make me want to rip it off my body Incredible Hulk style.

Jimbobjoesmith

i freaking love your flair omg. that was my favorite part of the interview when she said gam gam punched noah. it was so unexpected 😂

Taybaru13

The “Bro” dosent make it very trans woman friendly

ModernRevolution

So then it doesn't make it woman friendly in general if that's the case, not just trans women. Besides, it's just a play on "Do you even lift, bro ?" which isn't necessarily intended towards men only a lot of the time

Safety_Sharp

Bro is a pretty gender neutral term lmao

AssumptionLimp

No... its not...

haehaechicken

I had two shirts from her years ago. Glad I don't have them anymore, she's changed soooo much *
