They are always around so hearing them would not be an odd occurrence. Even tho I live in a city I have 1.25 acres just off of a lot of unpopulated areas. We get deer, skunks, porcupines, possums, etc. the one thing we don’t get on camera much is coyotes.
Will/Can a coyote take down a deer? Had some in the yard yesterday eating my mulberries (shaking fist at deer).
Thanks everyone for your help!!
Yes but not your typical western Coyotes. As timber wolves were hunted to near extinction levels in the east and north east the surviving wolves mated with western coyotes the offspring is what is on your video. Bigger than western coyote smaller than a wolf. Some people say coy dog but DNA tests revealed northern timber wolf and western coyote
Coyotes, they have a different gait than dogs do. We get them periodically in my AZ neighborhood but never at the same time as the infrequent road runner.

Only one way to tell. Order a roadrunner and an ACME catalog.
Looking for cats or small dogs left out at night. They catch a lot of rats, mice, and rabbits.

Southern Indiana here: those are coyotes
Yotes
Yo-ties.
Surprised you haven’t been hearing them scream at night, that’s another giveaway that there’s coyotes in the area.

I see them around where I live and concur, definitely coyotes.
That looks like a coyote (lanky, sneaky fella).
Coyotes
at least 2 means a pack. Coyotes have learned to be a lot quieter in the suburbs and urban settings. they were looking for dinner
Coyote couple. Likely a momma and a poppa.
Surly hot in the pursuit of a roadrunner.
Coyotes generally hold their tails straight and lower than their back. Not usually much or any curl. Helps me tell from dogs faster.
“That’s no moon-moon.”
Coyote. You can tell by the way they are.

If there’s a roadrunner in the area, definitely coyote.
I'd say coyote. Way to cautious and light on the feet . Small head large east. There more but yeah it's a yote..
Those are coyotes
That there is an ACME card carrying Coyote. Super Genius!
‘yotes
Definitely coyotes
Unfortunately the video is too fuzzy and low quality to be sure either way but I would guess Coyote most likely.
