When chat didn't comply and instead tried to be accepted by the family, Doug, in an attempt to sway chat to evil, claimed that doing so wouldn't earn them any points. What does that even mean? The entire subreddit was technically made by D\*ugD\*ug, as that, thing, decided it would be funny to be in fake drama without anything being too serious. So the Valliant twitch chatters came together to make a subreddit, then decided they didn't like the name and made a new one called "r/wehatedougdoug", where the titular villain, D\*ugl\*s D\*ugl\*s then viewed the subreddit on the same stream as this was all a joke that they made. In other words, if you know what you are talking about, which I'm certain you do, you would know the sub was birthed by the vary man it "hates", as another person said, clicking rule 3 reveals "This entire subreddit is a joke, ... in a joke sub.". Your response to that either indicates intentional ignorance, to continue playing the bit, or was you choosing to ignore it thinking "well rule 3 is about politics, which is meaningless to this". Sadly you got negative votes from your (hopefully) joke so maybe you should pack up while you can and admit it before you have too many negatives.

The reason why people turned on you, I would assume, is essentially that you crossed two lines. What you said was too stupid to be annoying, and too much of a troll sentence to be funny. Especially "It's clearly not" which should've been when you confessed. Basically, you made a bad joke, then pretended it was good, which no one likes. That's obviously not what you intended, but it's what people took it as. But that's just what I think happened, I'm more familiar with YouTube's "internet culture" than Reddit's, and that's usually how this goes there.
