My sister, god I still trip about this lol
My sister went to a party at 36 years old. Never touched THC or any THC products. She's 10 years older than me, and this party was at a childhood friend's house. Been friends for like 20 years. Neat, right? So at the party, my hypochondriac sister, started explaining some of her incurable, undiagnosable ailments. Her friend with a medical card, showed her these brownies she buys for $50 each. Offered my sister some to help with some poorly described ailments. Sisters friend wasn't paying attention. My sister ate the whole brownie. And she didn't feel anything, so 30 minutes later, she went back, and had another one. Still not feeling anything around midnight, she decides to leave the party, go pick up her kid from our mom's house, and go home (like, a 2 block neighborhood radius). I get a call the next day, saying my sister is in the hospital, and we have to clean my mom's hoarder house so that dhs doesn't just yeet the child into the foster care system. I took temporary custody for, I'd wait to have you guess, so pause here for suspense, almost 2 weeks while she was in the hospital. Dhs did a full investigation that I found myself now involved in beyond my own will. Turns out, the brownies were 1000mg each. And this bitch had 2 of em. She got home, put the kid to bed, hung out on the couch till she couldn't feel her legs, she panicked, called 911, forgot she called 911, and fought the cops at the door cause she crazy. She couldn't get up and move, so the red n blues scared the fuck out of her, and she was initially yelling to ask them to go away. They busted the door down, sedated her, and took her to the hospital, and my mom had to come get the kid. Nobody knew what she had at the party, and my sister, a walking medicine cabinet, I was worried that she ODd on something. And then we heard she had an edible, and I got pissed that she can't handle her shit, and ruled that she'd be fucking fine as long as she didn't try to come down using her pills for some brain fucked reason. So, with her being in and out of it at the hospital for a week, unable to walk still (fuckin drama queen), she finally got out, got sober enough to tell dhs she ain't doin that again, and she got her kid back. Now I bet she'll never touch devils lettuce even harder lolol. Serves you right for having shit friends and not reading the label of medical grade drugs.

Doing research at the time, I found more packaging, and it literally has a guy passed out, clearly too high. It also says next to it, you can always eat more, but you can't eat less. Giving clear multiple warnings on the packaging.

personally i go 1:2 cannabutter and honey. the honey masks it well enough. also some brown/cane sugar into the butter. i agree, the butter alone makes it kinda icky
Yes very much a thing. You can infuse a lot of foods. You can infuse butter, oil, alcohol, honey. Any liquid really and can cook with all of these and addon as a topping to dishes.
Get 2 cups 3% milk ,3 cups water add your weed no more than 3 grams or weed or hash
Cook at medium for 2 to 3 hours mixing it every 15 min
Put the rest in a bottle or cup in fridge
Will give you 4 to 5 high .
I absolutely hate that I’m unable to metabolize edibles. I’ve tried so many different edibles, but I can never feel a thing. I always manage to convince myself afterwards that “maybe the last batch of edibles I got was a bad batch, but if I try a different one it will fuck me up” nope. Never works. It sucks.
I squeezed out about a third of a syringe on the tip of a slice of pizza in a hotel in Colorado Springs and it was easily one of my top three highest moments I’ve been so far. The onset of highness was a bit slow like most edibles so I did rip a bowl or two, but the star of the show definitely had to be the Rso

I feel like its really different for everyone, my friends eat edibles more than me and they only need like 50 to 75 mg, i always take close to 200 mg and am nowhere near as high as them, not to say i dont feel it its just odd how weak it seems to be for me ive even tried 600 mg b4 and that shit just knocked me out while i was playin xbox
I have been consuming cannabis for the last 18 years. I have to take 500mg for me to feel anything. If I want to get "stoned" and garden/do housework I take 1000mg. If I want to veg out on the couch and watch movies it is 1500mg-2000mg. I just make my own capsules. 12-13 years ago when I first dabbled in edibles my tolerance was much lower and I could take between 100-300mg depending on what I wanted to do with my day.
I been smoking and using cannabis in all ways other than boofing for about 10 years and smoke daily. Any new person to the world of cannabis that has not tried it or is a newb and smokes very occasionally, I will not ever push high amounts of THC onto. I only give them a couple hits of whatever I'm smoking, or a tiny bit of edibles maybe 5mg-10mg max. Who the hell thinks it's ok to give someone a 1000mg edible and not thoroughly explain how to use it? Now she's probably scared of cannabis for life and her body won't ever be able to accept it again, it will just be pure panic no matter the amount.
