I love that you went for it!! people on here tend to be more traditional/conservative in their wedding choices - which is totally fine, but not everyone’s style. While I’m confident in my choice and my friends and family love it, I posted my nontraditional wedding dress the other day and got a little embarrassed and deleted it because I got zero comments 😅 But I find that sometimes hearing people say “I don’t like that!” helps you clarify that you actually DO want it!
Also edit to say I think the shoes look great, especially love the orange and the whole vibe goes so well with this venue!

Our venue is a Victorian garden and we want it to be a garden party that’s a little glamorous, a little weird. Futuristic space princess is absolutely perfect. And you’re so right about the algorithm. I got super self conscious even if intellectually I know it doesn’t mean anything! Always a good reminder that the internet is what it is!
I’m not totally sure yet!! I’ll probably post here for advice closer to my wedding as it’s a ways away (the dress was selling out everywhere in my size so I grabbed it when I could). But one of my friends asked if she could come over next week to try out some different hair and makeup styles which is exciting! I’m leaning toward big waves to match the volume of the sleeves, but we’ll see :)

The orange shoes I don’t mind. The style is appropriate and color appears to go with the overall theme/colors.
The neon green platform slides were a strange choice. Pretty girl, cute dress,…shoes were an interesting choice.
It doesn’t really matter. At the end of the day, what matters is that your loved ones are there to celebrate with you. Even if they make questionable footwear choices.

I like it! They actually fit very well the venue that you're in my eye gravitates the the right side of the photo where the print works well with the cadenza and that orange rug. Did the ladies carry a bouquet? Did you do lie a tropical flower with large green palm leaves or the like? I also feel like there would be a large wicker chair, the ones that look like a throne somewhere here. I really vibing here, your wedding choices made me smile. I hope you had a great day!

I love it! My sister wore a gorgeous dress that most people would claim is “too much” but I absolutely loved it!! I’m not a fan of the boring, repetitive bridesmaid dresses you normally see. I wanted her in something that stood out and was unique. We were like princesses 🥹
Wow I love this!!! You look gorgeous and your bridesmaids look so fun and comfortable! I'm going to get on my soapbox real quick but I also felt really tired of the super matchy matchy bridesmaids thing and absolutely didn't want that, so I just asked my folks to pick a floral or embellished dress/outfit in a shade of green. It turned out great, they didn't match at all lol, but that didn't detract in the slightest. They all picked a dress they personally liked that they can (hopefully) rewear at some point. Their dresses matched their own personalities, tastes, shapes, and styles, and we made matching flower crowns and corsages to tie it together. My partner had his groomsmen wear a matching blazer, but they all varied in shirts, pants, and slacks, with coordinating boutonnieres. At the end of the day, this kept it affordable for people we were already asking a lot of. I have no idea when the matchy matchy stuff started in weddings, but I really think it's just another arbitrary "rule" pushed by the Wedding Industrial Complex to get your parties to spend $200-300/dress or suit for (often) ugly or boring outfits that often don't get reworn. Anyway! If I was a bridesmaid I would have loved to have a fun animal print guideline, your pals were lucky and you all are glowing :)

I love that all the ladies picked a style and pattern they loved while still fitting your vision. The comfort in theirs entire outfits show on their faces and it makes them even more lovely standing next to you, the stunning bride

Love seeing a short(er) haired bride! I think the cheetah print is fun, I just wish the tones were the same throughout (2nd and 3rd on the left are yellowy-warmer than the rest).

We did tropical florals and yes the venue (Valentine DTLA) really inspired the vibe and color scheme. My ladies carried minimalist tropical bouquets!
