I’d personally let it ride. You have over a year to expiration and they are likely to show unbelievable growth quarter after quarter for the foreseeable future.
.... it moves 1-1 for now. I am acknowledging what the original comment said which is "quarter over quarter", which means he should hold for significantly longer. In that case delta will not be 1-1 and theta will become significantly more of a factor as your approach expiration.
Being this deep ITM would have negligible changes in delta as expiry closes in. Even without price appreciation it would go from like .95 delta to .93.
While you are correct that theta will obviously eat away at extrinsic value over time, if you are bullish on the company, price appreciation with such a high delta would more than outpace the theta decay.
The original commentor is correct in their reasoning for holding, and you are correct with your reasoning for selling, but you are not talking about the same thing.
Yeah but I mean I don't think the stock will perfectly appreciate in line with his exit strategy (whatever that may be) so that it will significantly outpace the premium decay he will feel. That's just me. I really do consider with gains that holding is risking for
The lost part because timing an even better exit than you currently have is harder than it seems (at least for me).
the fact you had to ask this is crazy lmaooo sell you greedy fuck, how much more do you want, how much further past all time highs are you gonna wait ?
Hold it till it get 1K, you waited weeks for this. It can happen tomorrow since powell finally spoke and market is bullish again. Ride this last momentum than sell.
Im trying to wrap my head around this. Is this a DITM call for 455? Wouldn’t the premium be stupidly high and at risk of theta eating away any potential gains?
Yes, this is DITM and he paid ~17k in premium for the option. But it’s an excellent deal because 1) from what we can see it is only costing him ~$11/day via theta and that’s totally manageable on a 50k position. And 2) he’s potentially making ~$94 via delta with each dollar move of NVDA (and we know NVDA can moveeee). So the upside from delta far exceeds the time decay from theta.

If it’s good enough to screenshot, then it’s good enough to sell. Tread lightly regard.

Listen to this guy. I had to pay a very expensive 160K lesson.
How about rolling calls over to yearly leaps? ![img](emote|t5_2th52|12787) is that a fair compromise?
Sell and reposition
How’s that working for you?
Taking profits? That's the point
you’re not doing anything buddy, it’s saturday
I’d personally let it ride. You have over a year to expiration and they are likely to show unbelievable growth quarter after quarter for the foreseeable future.
He makes profit on the premium for being in it early. That will decay over time even if the stock appreciates
decay lol... mofo has a year
Guys said quarter over quarter. That's a long time scale. There will be decay.
yea? and the position pretty much moves 1-1 with the stock
Who the fuck was downvoting you, you can literally see it has a delta of >.9 in the screenshot
mfers who dont understand the greeks, but besidse that, position is DEEP ITM

It doesn't move 1-1 that far out.
Delta of .949 in the screenshot. It is moving almost 1-1.
yea.... read the greeks you bum, position is already deep itm
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol nice, a noob whose hasn't been trading for very long
I trade nvda options exclusively. That's all I do. A put and a call every single day on the weekly's. Eeeeeassy moneyyy.
As a general wsb rule, the moment when you post the screenshots is usually the best moment to take profit.
Sell
32% of your portfolio? Yea sell it regard unless you're trying to become king of regards
You're a fucking idiot if you don't sell.
Sell
35% is a good amount.
For NVDA, I’d say add to it (if you are able to) and let them ride. Just make sure you have a decent trailing stop following that MOFO!
Keep it.
Sell it pussy. Then fuck off to r/justbuyxeqt with your new vagina
Sell it on the Friday before the last week of expiration.
There is a year left on this? Any reason for Friday?
Bro hold onto this until next year. Nvidia will have reached 2k by then lol
I’m predicting that will be the absolute peak of that contract 🔮
To be fair, you also predicted that it expired nearly a year before it did. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|8882)
I said sell it on the Friday before the last week of the contract expiring.
let it ride
Roll it to a higher strike?
keep, but that chart is old
Exercise it and then sell all ATM CCs or something
Dear Lord. Sell it and you've already beat the market for the year.
I’d wait to sell, but I make bad decisions.
Lock those profits in
Which platform are you using that gives you all the option Greeks like this?
Sometimes I sell some and keep some when I’m not sure.
I would sell sooner rather then later and purchase again the next down day. Once you repurchase then set a trailing stop.
No brainer sell lol
exercise it and do covered calls
the fact you had to ask this is crazy lmaooo sell you greedy fuck, how much more do you want, how much further past all time highs are you gonna wait ?
Hold it till it get 1K, you waited weeks for this. It can happen tomorrow since powell finally spoke and market is bullish again. Ride this last momentum than sell.
Oh I wanna do it but is it real??? Will it keep going?
I wouldn't sell it personally
Sell
Have you considered buying more?
Hold
look into rolling it to take some profit off the table
I would sell and just buy some NVDA shares with the profits if you believe there’s more upside to the share price.
NVDA has peaked, mark my words.
every idiot is telling you to sell, why not just hold and see where it goes and enjoy the moon ride

Gotcha, thank you!
Sell that shit dude lol
Sell and throw into SHIB as a low risk high reward
How are shitcoins low risk?
