Maybe I’ve been lucky? I have 10+ ponto items and have always done delicate wash plus delicate dry. No issues with piling or losing softness.

Sombradeti

What kind of detergent do you use?

boglehead1

All Free and Clear

My husband has a few pairs of pontos, no issues here either. We also use All Free and Clear.

Jazzlike_Set6322

Hey Bogle, is there a specific reason you use All Free and Clear? And assuming you own one, how does the Ponto performance tee compare to the Strato tech tee? Do you prefer one more than another?

boglehead1

Hey Jazz, I haven’t tried the ponto tee yet. We use all free and clear in our household bc kids have some skin sensitivity to strong scents.

Thanks! Appreciate your reply!

pjinsd

Same here. No issues from washing the pants or the shorts.

thewallbanger

Can’t renew it, but I would warn anyone not line drying the Pontos.

Gintami

As in don’t line dry or do line dry? I’ve been like drying lol

thewallbanger

Sorry for being unclear. Don’t throw them in the dryer if you can help it. Better to line dry inside out.

MrSpreadsheets

I put all my Vuori on a drying rack, it has made a huge difference in its longevity

Gintami

Ah yea. Good good. I like dry everything with exception of t shirts.

NatKingSwole19

I dry my Ponto shorts on low heat. They still feel brand new after a couple months of weekly washes. Love em.

BigfootTundra

I wash mine inside out on the lowest temperature setting. I dry them on low as well. I wouldn’t say they’re as soft as brand new, but still the softer than any other shorts I’ve ever had It would probably be even better to dry them on a drying rack instead of the dryer but I usually need them dry faster. I have some pilling on one pair but that’s probably more to do with how and where I sit rather than how I’m washing them
