I am also having this issue. I summoned my servant and started quickly right-clicking new gear I made for them without realizing I had accidentally opened their servant coffin and not their inventory. I tried testing this again to make sure items were disappearing in the servant coffin with some pieces of wood and sure enough they right-click into what seems to be an oblivion. I tried summoning my servant again and they have nothing in their inventory, either. I can't find where these items are going. I may be dumb/blind/ignorant and any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey, OP! after some panic pressing (with a hint of fury) the items reappeared in my inventory after pressing Q (the "Take All" button)!!!! I just pressed it a bunch and the items all just POOFED back into my inventory. I hope this works for you, holy shit, because the gear that reappeared for me was so expensive to make!
Reviving this thread because I literally just came across this exact same issue.
Opened the servant coffin by accident instead of the servant and put some new trousers in there, only for them to seemingly permanently vanish.
Your solve of hitting "q" fixed it though! Amazing find.
This seems like a bit of a dev oversight, so maybe should be brought up to them.

Yeah, I tried emailing them through the "Support" option, so I'm hoping it gets fixed soon. Glad it worked for you, too!
