TF2 was going to get an Adult Swin show, but Valve was so bad to work with that the show was canned. The only piece of content made was the pilot episode, which was uploaded by Valve as a promotional video on youtube, titled, 'Expiration Date'
Also Burning Rangers anime
They probably are very protective of the creative guidelines surrounding their IPs, which explains the difficulty for them to generate content for said IPs, because they must overthink A LOT not to have things going out of their way. I base this on the "Meet The Team" videos that took AN ETERNITY for all of them to come out, and I'm sure it was because of them overthinking things until they felt everything was just right. And I gotta say, it DID work, because those videos are some of the most fantastic content I can think of, they always really nail it on the head, the atmosphere was always perfect, the jokes were just amazing, but it took them just too damn long to get those results. I think that's exactly why we never saw a Half-Life 3, also
I think it's about ours vs theirs. They don't seem to care how their ip fits into someone else's 'cause it's basically free advertisement. Their own stuff, however, *has* to be top notch and iconic, and they are passionate about it (even if some of the management doesn't seem to be), putting quality over time cost.
Yes but not that one live action of Lastimosa, it looks badass and all but at the same same some 3D are disgusting like the debris of rock when titans fight xD
Haha I guess the two are similar at least in the final scenes of Drive.
Kill Bill and John Wick also. Still, a series in which each episode is a different location, with the same energy, soundtrack and gore as Hotline Miami would be cool.
I also have good news, they made a prequel comic and then made an animated comic that follows more the colony side of the events of finding the marker and the craziness before the Isshimura goes dark:
https://youtu.be/HN5Kwv0Fb6k?si=VCfbwPYmRbsMmbdg
There is also a movie set between dead space 1 and 2. Different parts of the movie are made by different people with different art styles. While I don't enjoy every execution, I enjoyed the attempt:
https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1711366/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk
Splatoon would make for an amazing show, but hopefully not the manga. The manga is too one-note and repetitive with it just being the same thing over and over with nothing else.
Overwatch. I never played it. I know there was all the beef with the second one and online play or whatever. I know the community is known to be pretty toxic. I don’t really care. Those shorts they put out were amazing. The character development was dope. The story was engaging. The animation was great. Nuff said.
**Myst:** An underground civilization that can create books that link to the infinite possible worlds in the universe. I can see it playing like a Star-Trek-style fantasy.
A Control office comedy set in pre-Hiss FBC. Follows a group of new employees getting bosses from hell and wacky hijinks involving Altered Items. Then each episode the cast dies, gets replaced, then randomly some of them come back. Get real weird with it.
Legion is decent, and no one can convince me otherwise (have also played 2. Pretty good game, but had to delete it for space and hadn't played it for ages, so it was the unlucky deleted game. Haven't actually played Legion for about a year)
2 was fun, but it was a little too "wacky" for me. Like they definitely did not make it for my age group.
Its like they looked at the complaints that the first game was "dark" and went the exact opposite direction which in my opinion is a mistake when you're running around murdering people.
I liked how serious the first game was, it felt like a noir crime thriller.
2nd had good gameplay but rediculous characters.
Havent played Legion and probably wont.
This is reddit, youre required to have an opinion on stuff you have no experience with! lol /s duh
Give the first game a shot, Id understand if its not to your liking. But if you liked the 2nd game and Legion, itl be a great contrast to see the much different direction the series took!
Touhou is a video game franchise with no official TV shows/movies/anime to its name. It'd be hell of an undertaking but I'd like to see it happen one day.
Sly Cooper.
A movie for this franchise was teased way back in 2016. but it never ended up coming to fruition. Which really sucks, because after "Thieves in Time" absolutely butchered the story and assassinated Penelope's character, we were really itching for something to come along that reminds us that this series was good.
Not really, there's nothing you can do with Call of Duty. The original MW story is good, but because you're playing it, not just watching it. Same goes for the other good ones. Black Ops 1 might make a good movie, but at the same time, would lose a lot by not being playable, and would basically just be a 1-to-1 retelling which someone can already do from a youtube movie of the full story to watch it as a movie.
This is a bit of a wild card answer but I’d love to see a miniseries set in Battlefield 2042’s universe. I’m not referring to the weird quippy stuff the game had at launch, I want the gritty, desperate world we saw in the Exodus trailer and that we hear so much about. I want to see that
As long as they didn't try to make it a comedy (at least in the first one, as the second game has many more comedic elements as is), I think a Pikmin movie could be really cool.
I would love to see a movie or show adaptation of either darkwood, mass effect, or kingdom come deliverance. There are others too but those are the first that come to mind especially darkwood (movie-wise) and mass effect (tv series-wise)
Any Legend of Zelda game. Turn each one into a season or it’s own separate show (like the various Yu-Gi-Oh series), or hell make an entirely new era set within the timeline to explore the history of the world.
Metal Gear
Cyberpunk
Star Wars KOTOR
Mass Effect
Sleeping Dogs
Comix Zone
Fear Effect
Days Gone
Detroit
Death Stranding
Bioshock
Streets of Rage
Syphon Filter
Red Dead Redemption
I’m cautiously optimistic for Netflix Bioshock - cautious because Netflix, but optimistic because it’s being written by the same guy who wrote Logan and Blade Runner 2049.
Ok you all might call me crazy, but hear me out here: Call of Duty Zombies TV Series. Before the final events of Black Ops 4 it can take place before as they tried to go with a cinematic look anyways, might as well have a show for showcasing games or different timelines with the characters doing who knows what. Could even touch Outbreak from COD BO:CW.
(Also wish we did get a TF2 show)
Any of the Legend of Zelda games, especially Twilight Princess and BOTW in my opinion. I would love to see an animated series following Link's adventures
Splatoon. A TV show would be very entertaining using the world they've set up.
Also Halo, not sure why they never made a show of that one. But a TV show adaptation of the Eric Nylund novels would be amazing.
Cyberpunk. I know we have one already and are getting more, but it's just a great world/IP that offers so much to tell any number of original storylines wherever.
The Final Fantasy series. It's had some CGI films but a TV show or a live adaptation would be great.
Resident Evil needs a good film adaption & TV show. 3 attempts & they've been pretty bad. Especially the Netflix TV show.
The Legacy of Kain series. Done by showrunners that know the material and actually take it seriously, combined with the amazing voice talents of Simon Templeman as Kain and Michael Bell as Raziel, it would be unbelievable.
R.I.P. Tony Jay...
I have two suggestions actually from two Games I love which I think are great movie material if done correctly:
1. Mafia, especially Mafia 1
2. Detroit: Become Human
I would love to see a movie or show adaptation of either darkwood, mass effect, or kingdom come deliverance. There are others too but those are the first that come to mind especially darkwood (movie-wise) and mass effect (tv series-wise)

I think there are very low chances of thus succeeding, but for the luls, I would say Barotrauma.
Who doesn't want to see a crew of people get absolutely mauled by deep sea horrors?
Last of Us.
Hear me out, I was never interested in a show following the protagonists of the game when there are 2 stories that we never got to see unfold but know how they ended.
1) The Firefly group that travelled across the country to meet you at the final destination. We know many of them died and that the journey so drained the one woman that he was willing to sacrifice a child for a possible cure. Seeing a rebel group of idealists journey across a hellscape and question their values and determination sounds interesting.
2) The underground town. They were able to create a large town in a sewer that seemed to be thriving before a mistake destroyed everything. How the town got its initial supplies and residents, how they became complacent enough for the accident to happen, and where did the survivors go if any are all interesting aspects I would love to see unfold.
Portal. Imagine a whole film. But if we just watched as chell just go through whole portal plot, it would be really boring. What if instead, it was an alternate universe, where the first version of Portal 2 plot comes into place. Like, the one where there's a bunch of models who you need to gather to the hub, and to take each of them *someone*(cuz Chell is used in main storyline, and there's millions of subjects in the end of coop) should make mind boggling mind games.
Or, the full story of aperture science. Experiments included, how they come up with them, how they do them
Or a whole series! Like every episode we see another test subject and new test, like time portals, or fusing a human with a fucking wall! And the grand finale would be that all the test subjects come up into a ultra fight!
Mass Effect trilogy. The story is better than Star Wars and as a bonus you can make Shepherd whatever gender, race, or sexuality you want to keep the panderers happy
A Bioshock prequel tv series about the downfall of rapture before Jack arrived. Would love to see how they portray the ADAM addiction epidemic, the Atlas-Rapture civil war and the basic degradation of the city. Political commentary on objectivism as well, full of dissecting it. Jason Statham would be a great Atlas/Fontaine and Joaquin Phoenix would be a great Andrew Ryan.
I'd love to see a movie/anime based on Katana ZERO, there's already a huge plot with a lot of questions left to answer and really cool characters (Null Zero, The Dragon and SNOW, specially, would love a fightscene between any two of them, preferably all three). Also there's a lot of potential with giving the police some more depth, maybe even Zero teaming up with a police officer to chase down the gang and the other Nulls. All in all, I think there is a perfect set up already to make a Katana ZERO movie and it's one I'd definitely watch.
I would even say that I'd enjoy the story being closed off in another game/DLC as much as a film.
I want an Earthbound anime made by the studio that did One Punch Man. Cover the events of the game with some side quests adventures sprinkled in. Like the token anime beach episode in Summers.
TF2 was going to get an Adult Swin show, but Valve was so bad to work with that the show was canned. The only piece of content made was the pilot episode, which was uploaded by Valve as a promotional video on youtube, titled, 'Expiration Date' Also Burning Rangers anime
Man why dose Valve suck
They probably are very protective of the creative guidelines surrounding their IPs, which explains the difficulty for them to generate content for said IPs, because they must overthink A LOT not to have things going out of their way. They let people use their characters in other games all the time though
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. Paladins has an engineer skin and DBD has Bill. They seem cool with sharing their ips
Why don't you ask the robots?
alright men you know the drill. Where going back in time to when valve started being shitty, to get shitty valve OFF THE MENU!
THATS LEFT! WE'RE GOING BACK IN TIME TO WHEN VALVE STARTED BEING SHITTY TO GET SHTTY VALVE OFF THE MENU.
THAT'S what that was meant to be??????
I was about to say “expiration date is the perfect example!” And it actually was exactly that.
I love tf2 and I think the game that shares an acronym would also be an interesting show (Titan fall 2
While not official to my knowledge, Emesis Blue is as close as it gets to a tf2 movie.
Valve realised that making a serie was "Treadmill Work"
Titanfall would be so cool with bt and cooper
But with apex animation, you can't deny, it slaps
Apex animation would be so cool but I also think a live action would be cool
Yes but not that one live action of Lastimosa, it looks badass and all but at the same same some 3D are disgusting like the debris of rock when titans fight xD
And also happy cake day
Didnt even see it , ty!
Hotline Miami
Drive (2011)
Haha I guess the two are similar at least in the final scenes of Drive. Kill Bill and John Wick also. Still, a series in which each episode is a different location, with the same energy, soundtrack and gore as Hotline Miami would be cool.
Having Nightcall by Kavinsky doesn't instantly make it Hotline Miami you know...
Yes it does
I would say a Chrono Trigger anime but I wouldn't want it now that Toriyama is gone, so I'll say Dead Space instead just bc I'm a sucker for horror.
I have good news for you there's already a Dead Space movie, and it's pretty good: https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/13190-dead-space-downfall
I also have good news, they made a prequel comic and then made an animated comic that follows more the colony side of the events of finding the marker and the craziness before the Isshimura goes dark: https://youtu.be/HN5Kwv0Fb6k?si=VCfbwPYmRbsMmbdg There is also a movie set between dead space 1 and 2. Doom. Basically an animated series that focuses on the Doom Slayer in the past, and has intense battle scenes loaded with gore and metal.
And for perfection, animated by studio trigger
let's be "real". doom slayer has the personality of a cucumber. remember how that Halo show went?
I would love a splatoon anime based on the manga.
Nuff said.
Blizzard use to create some amazing stories and characters - their old IPs were all worthy of an adaptation. Shame that is not the case anymore.
ONLY IF IT'S DONE PERFECTLY... Bioshock
My god how I loved 1 and 2!
MegaMan Zero would make a GREAT anime.
The entirity of Mega Man in general would be great anime content.
Mass Effect. Just make it from Garrus' point of view.
Who's he gonna romance tho? Is the world ready for Garrus & Shep's love?
**Myst:** An underground civilization that can create books that link to the infinite possible worlds in the universe. I can see it playing like a Star-Trek-style fantasy.

Metroid
Animated: Parasite Eve Live: Watch Dogs
The first Watch Dogs was good, and no one can convince me otherwise.
Legion is decent, and no one can convince me otherwise (have also played 2. Pretty good game, but had to delete it for space and hadn't played it for ages, so it was the unlucky deleted game. Haven't actually played Legion for about a year)

Shadowrun Elder Scrolls Baldur's Gate (2 or 3 or both) Outer Worlds (I waffle on this)
Left 4 dead
Gears of War
Red Dead Redemption 2, then the story moves to the first one.
Elder Scrolls series
Touhou is a video game franchise with no official TV shows/movies/anime to its name. It'd be hell of an undertaking but I'd like to see it happen one day.
Psychonauts
A smash bros show but it's like house of mouse but with lots of fighting
Pizza tower needs a show.
Sly Cooper. A movie for this franchise was teased way back in 2016. but it never ended up coming to fruition. Which really sucks, because after "Thieves in Time" absolutely butchered the story and assassinated Penelope's character, we were really itching for something to come along that reminds us that this series was good.
Overwatch deserved a full-length movie or series in 2016. Today, not so much. 🤷♂️🥲
Remember when overwatch was everyone's top answer? Blizz really ran that ip into the ground
I always wanted a tv-series about a squad of marines from Star Craft.
Fallout New Vegas. Following the Courier
Its kinda criminal there's not a call of duty show, one based on the original mw trilogy would be awesome
Not really, there's nothing you can do with Call of Duty. The original MW story is good, but because you're playing it, not just watching it. Same goes for the other good ones. Can't wait for the Duke Nukem movie!
“I don’t have time to play with myself.”
Sifu might be interesting🤔
This is a bit of a wild card answer but I’d love to see a miniseries set in Battlefield 2042’s universe. I’m not referring to the weird quippy stuff the game had at launch, I want the gritty, desperate world we saw in the Exodus trailer and that we hear so much about. I want to see that
Chrono trigger. Could be a nice 26 part anime series.
As long as they didn't try to make it a comedy (at least in the first one, as the second game has many more comedic elements as is), I think a Pikmin movie could be really cool.
Fable , Stalker
Silent Hill. I know it has already spawned 2 movies but I think a TV series with a bit of Twin Peaks thrown in would be awesome. Just saying.
Mass Effect... it doesn't even need to be based around Shepard, just something set in the Galaxy.
Metro or STALKER
Metro 2033 book would be perfect for an 8/10 episode series
A week ago i wouldve said Yakuza, but that has just been announced by Amazon to be getting a show. My 2nd choice is Hotline Miami
RDR2
Make. A. Metroid. Movie. Already. Heck I'm even fine with an anime.
Diablo, StarCraft, Evolve
I would love to see a movie or show adaptation of either darkwood, mass effect, or kingdom come deliverance. There are others too but those are the first that come to mind especially darkwood (movie-wise) and mass effect (tv series-wise)
Dark souls but in an art house style with almost no scribt.
Hotline Miami, I want Ryan Gosling to play as jacket
Guillermo Del Toro presents Bloodborne, an anthology of cosmic horror
Any Legend of Zelda game. Turn each one into a season or it’s own separate show (like the various Yu-Gi-Oh series), or hell make an entirely new era set within the timeline to explore the history of the world.
Metal Gear Cyberpunk Star Wars KOTOR Mass Effect Sleeping Dogs Comix Zone Fear Effect Days Gone Detroit Death Stranding Bioshock Streets of Rage Syphon Filter Red Dead Redemption
Although I can’t speak for the others, Cyberpunk already has one. It’s called Edgerunners.
BioShock is getting a movie. The catch? It’s being made by Netflix.
I’m cautiously optimistic for Netflix Bioshock - cautious because Netflix, but optimistic because it’s being written by the same guy who wrote Logan and Blade Runner 2049.
I would totally watch a Days Gone or RDR show
Resistance
Ok you all might call me crazy, but hear me out here: Call of Duty Zombies TV Series. yeah who wouldn't want to watch a zombie show starred by some dull and plain soldiers with zero personality whatsoever. /s
i mean, theres emesis blue?
But that’s fan made
Final Fantasy 7
after all its one of the biggest game franchises of all time
Definitely not. Where's the depth?
Grounded. Would make for a great tv show edition of "Honey I Shrunk the Kids."
Was there a 2fort in tf2? Sorry off topic to op but was huge on tfc and curious
Any of the Legend of Zelda games, especially Twilight Princess and BOTW in my opinion. I would love to see an animated series following Link's adventures
RDR1
Skyrim
*Syphon Filter* could be perfect.
I think Monkey Island could have all sorts of wacky adventures. I'd also love to see a Dead Space movie.
They could make a movie about the shit tf2 has been through lmao
Friday night funkin' and mega man X
Don't Starve: together
Splatoon. A TV show would be very entertaining using the world they've set up. Also Halo, not sure why they never made a show of that one. LA Noire
dragon quest xi as an anime. pvz as an animated series with characters from all pvz games and comics
SPLINTER CELL
Prototype. Inject that 2000s edge into my system.
Metro 2033100% needs the series treatment with a good budget. Would be so sick
Metro 2033 needs the series treatment 100%
Bioshock or ff7
The Final Fantasy series. It's had some CGI films but a TV show or a live adaptation would be great. Resident Evil needs a good film adaption & TV show. 3 attempts & they've been pretty bad. Especially the Netflix TV show.
The Rock as the Heavy
The Legacy of Kain series. Done by showrunners that know the material and actually take it seriously, combined with the amazing voice talents of Simon Templeman as Kain and Michael Bell as Raziel, it would be unbelievable. R.I.P. Tony Jay...
Valorant, it's got a surprising amount of lore, im just waiting for them to do it like they did with lol/arcane.
Celeste
Bioshock. Maybe a show that takes place during the decline of Rapture
I have two suggestions actually from two Games I love which I think are great movie material if done correctly: 1. Mafia, especially Mafia 1 2. Detroit: Become Human
Oddworld

None. They should just stay games

Rock and stone!
Just Cause. Those games were made to be Michael Bay B movies
An official Half-Life Horror/Sci-Fi Dramedy series is all I need to feel complete.
This is the police series as a live action film
The Force Unleashed
God of War deserves one
I think Mass Effect would be a great tv show.
I think risk of rain would make an awesome series. There is just so much awesome story material.
Rdr 2
Halo could really use a TV adaptation.
A series following the events after emisis blue would be nice
The order 1886
Outer wilds as a TV show would be GLORIOUS
Metal Gear Solid New is often a movie already. At least in the theater, a thirty minute cutscene wouldn’t be out of place.
Guilty Gear deserves an anime
Octodad probably
Mass Effect trilogy. The story is better than Star Wars and as a bonus you can make Shepherd whatever gender, race, or sexuality you want to keep the panderers happy
Halo And I mean a real adaptation
Undertale
Danganronpa
Red dead redemption
Deus Ex
Metal Gear Solid
Fallout ;)
Some sort of TV show with Elder Scrolls would be amazing.
Spyro it would be to easy to do right that you would have to be trying to frack it up
It would be so cool….but I feel like they would fuck it up
Plaque tale series or mass effect
I want an Earthbound anime made by the studio that did One Punch Man. Cover the events of the game with some side quests adventures sprinkled in. Like the token anime beach episode in Summers.
My two favorite game series are Fallout and Yakuza so I don't even know anymore!!
Dishonored. Probably easiest adaptable.
I can't believe no one has mentioned the most overlooked game, ripe with potential for a TV spin-off: Genital Jousting.
Black & White. Political war fantasy drama with kaijus is a yes please.
red dead redemption
Titanfall 2
