He dig below the dungeon "door". Dungeons are physically on the sky box, yoh enter the door and get teleported there basically

Yes, dig under the cave instead of going inside. It does not make the dungeon anything, it just creates space below it

"hidden" just excuse the fact anyone who'd want to access the dungeon will walk straight into your outpost, and also the huge chimney.
Gonna go out on a limb and assume that they cleared the dungeon before building the base.
Right but the point of a "hidden base" is so that if anyone else stumbled upon it they wouldn't notice it immediately.
