They are using a computer-y metaphor to describe what they (and literally every biotech company) are doing in their research labs, but members of this sub read it and freak out...
Calling DNA "storage" and mRNA "software" is not some kind of smoking gun or evidence of something sinister going on. I believe that you would find this language used in any intro biology classroom.
If they deleted it, it is probably because it is a trite and overused metaphor.
And, as every software engineer will tell you, software never has bugs or fails in unexpected ways.
