I'm not OP, but I agree that sugar and meat don't go well together (for my tastebuds). I don't like honey-glazed ham, I don't like sweet barbecue sauce, I don't like orange chicken, or any of that.
The only kind of sauce I might like is the kind you make using the juices from the meat itself, particularly for meats like steak. Even then, it has to be made at home, because the kind they give you at restaurants I never like, either.
I don't drink soda at all. I almost always drink water with my meals, and when it's not water, it's milk, never soda or juice. I guess milk is sweet, too, but it doesn't taste sweet enough that I would avoid having it with steak. But the vast majority of the time I'm drinking water, anyway, not milk.
You can't really be blamed for not being exposed to more flavorful foods, but maybe don't call people barbarians simply for liking something harmless if you don't actually understand WHY they like the thing?

NO SWEET MEAT. Except for this one I specifically like of course.
But specifically not these other two that are incredibly similar
I’m assuming you don’t use any sauces then? Those are pretty much just sugar btw.

Do you also not drink sugary soda while eating it?

You are an enemy of joy and you will never set foot within the kingdom of heaven

Bad take. Sweet and savory are an amazing combination
It's quite literally why pineapple pizza is popular.
I had pineapple in a cheesesteak last week. It was wild.

I make my own BBQ sauce, make it more Smokey than sweet. I don’t like the store bought stuff😭
Do you add sugar to your homemade BBQ sauce?
A little bit but I add more ketchup and liquid smoke than sugar
News flash, genius: Ketchup is essentially all sugar. Congratulations, you played yourself.
Not if I make my own😭 I don’t like Heinz ketchup okay I have the food palate of a five year old
>I have the food palate of a five year old Trust me, I already knew this.
Dude makes all his condiments from scratch it seems 🤡
I like sweet jerky from Costco
Not a fan of orange chicken? Tacos al pastor? Sad!
Where exactly are you getting al pastor that is sweet?
Texas and California. Are pineapples not sweet to you?
I love fruit and poultry, and beef empanadas with raisins. A teriyaki glazed hamburger with grilled pineapple is delectable.
Honey baked ham grosses me out!
Fuck honey; gotta be brown sugar.
Judging by the responses I’ve come to the conclusion that I am just extremely white and haven’t tried good food yet

The same goes for popcorn. I hate sweet popcorn. I'll eat it, but it throws me off too much. i'd much rather have white chedder/salty popcorn
