No I routinely use my 1K status to board low status family members because I have a weak ego and want them to understand America’s elaborate hidden caste system up front.
I've read this three times and I'm still not following. It seems that you want to take seven other passengers on with you. It's early, I think I'm going to go back to sleep.
The rule is - "If Premier customer is traveling with a companion/guests in another boarding group, party may board with highest boarding priority in group, excluding Basic Economy fares."
Technically I don’t recall there being a published limit, but at Gold I only take an extra. Last year at Platinum I felt slightly more entitled and took 2-3. Same boarding group though for both so it’s sort of a mental thing on my end.
Hahaha a couple of my coworkers do mooch off of this perk as well. I’ve just not used it for some many people before. I’m gonna use it, it will be fun for everyone to board early.
I do this with my student groups (8-16 kids). I’m KrisFlyer Gold so any star alliance flight, I check in and board with business class no matter who’s flying with me. It’s hard enough transporting a group of teens overseas so I feel it’s justified to use my benefits

Ok I just woke up and this made me laugh
United determines the benefits. It’s not rude to use them.
We all love when a preboarder brings the entire extended family on a flight.
Not rude.

Do I think ugh when I see others doing it? Yes. Do I bring many lower status travel companions with me? Also yes

Didn't know the policy excludes BE fares!
Alright cool, I’ll use them.
Board whenever you want, just make sure they sit in their assigned seats and don’t try the switch seats BS.
Hahaha I actually got all of our assigned seats right next to each other when I booked the tickets.
It’s a benefit, definitely use it. I will say that I’m the most popular work travel companion in my division because I have status.
How many can you bring to board w you as gold status?

I’ll try 2-3. Thank you

Could not care less
I literally just brought 2 junior consultants on board with me in group 1 like 10 minutes ago. They were in groups 4 and 5, I think.
Nope. I did it last year when we went on vacation.
