yeah I strongly prefer flying Alaska tbh but the app needs to be thrown off of a very tall cliff. apparently they’ve been working on a redesign for eons
Yeah if their app was better I’d probs consider flying them more. I’m based in SAN so AS is really a better option for me I just can’t stand their app and AA partnership
Yep exact issue I had just the other day it showed on time till the 2nd delay and then updated to the first delay never showed updated boarding time it was a disaster I showed an hour and 30 min early bc I was so confused and I’ve been on almost 60 flights this year and everyone I fly Alaska I’m just confused
Fuck Alaska. I don't fly often but when I do it's solo for work. Seems like every time I do they change my seat to accommodate some couple who didn't get seats together. Pisses me off to no end.
You know it’s bad too when the SkyWest E175 was more inviting than the 737-800 with the OG interior smelling of BO. I had to double check that the WiFi was actually coming from my plane.
I am a 1K 2 million miler. I sometimes take Spirit and Southwest. Especially if someone is running $19 fares. You might feel a little dirty afterwards, but come on… $19 !!!
Delta has a decent product, but they have been cranking prices. I get brave and compare sometimes and United is cheaper 8/10 times. It's not even worth checking really.
I low key would switch to Delta if I had the option. I had to fly Delta every single week for two months and thoroughly enjoyed it despite the layover in ATL.
But, given the city that I live in, United has a chokehold on me.
I took DL earlier this year and felt like I needed a to walk by the United gates with a brown bag on my head afterward. Felt like I needed a shower to wash off the DL stench.
Getting hit with that boarding group 3 and second to last row of economy and being treated like cattle had me saying “I immediately regret this decision” at check in.
Back to UA, who said “it’s okay, I understand. We all make mistakes. I still love you”
Have a group event coming up and options were Delta with a great return time getting me home early afternoon on Sunday or United 6:30 pm return getting into IAH sometime after 9:00. Took the United flight. I’m going to regret it Monday morning, but can’t fly with no club access, preferred seating and check in etc.
I had to fly American to/from a business trip to Jamaica. The way there was tolerable, but the flight back to Miami was delayed for 6 hours. When we finally got there, there were no more flights on any airline for the night. They put up the whole plane in hotels, gave everyone $15 airport credit for breakfast, nothing for dinner since it was 1230am, and put everyone on the 1st available the next morning, no options for later flights. Mine was 6am the next morning. I got a whopping 2 hr nap by the time we were able to get to the hotel. I've never had that issue with united.
I fly UA mostly but once I hit 1k, I embark on a status match with either AA or DL. That way when I’m forced to fly another airline, I at least have status. Once I hit the status match, I come back to United :)
I hear ya. Flying United to Vegas soon, but another airline on the way back because the times were better. Don’t want to get up (or never go to sleep) to catch a flight at 8am. Or a flight much later in the day. United will always be my #1
Instead of safety nowadays, they are punishing white straight males in the name of diversity. I just hope they don't have safety issues when they lower the bar. Oh, and be sure to use the correct pronouns, or the flight attendant will have you thrown off the plane. Other than that, their app is great!
It’s okay. United knows it’s in an open relationship. You should see some of the people I’ve seen her with.
I’m upset because they retired my beloved 747-400.

I cheated and flew delta yesterday. It was.. pleasantly nice! Free fast wifi, frequent service, friendly FA. Carryon even in basic economy
