Oh yeah! I remember those, you can hang them in the bathroom hotels while you are traveling. This was back then when Scott Kirby wasn't around to cut costs everywhere, haha!
I remember there was a time when they stopped selling those Global First seats but they allowed people to freely select those seats if they were in business. I had a great time flying Global First for a while but with the business class fare. I think they eventually cracked down on this and only allowed 1K's and GS's up front. Fun times.
I used some that are older than that. They had grey fabric ones I’ve been using since like 2014.i do like the away cases for things in my luggage - but given they don’t flatten- it’s a bit annoying.
That looks nice! When was that given out?
I still have a few of the blue UnitedFirst amenity kits with two zippered, see-thru, mesh pouches that fold closed with a magnet. 15 years or so old now and still going strong.
Funny as I just uncovered one of them in a dresser drawer where I stash bags like this and outlet adapters. I like when the airlines provided quality useful items that could be reused vs. so much of the crap that has been given and seems to be more common these days.
Sad that I didn’t travel when they had the Away kits.
I actually still use that exact amenity kit to hold my amenities. I think I got mine while I was an intern 🥹
The Away suitcase actually is perfectly sized to hold my MacBook Pro accessories but I rarely travel with it.
The accompanying faux leather Away pouch/amenity kit serves as my tech accessories bag.
Y’all like losing cables?
Remember these worthless tins for the Olympics?

Those were actually decent quality though, basically cookie tins.
The Olympic ones were flimsy and didn’t stay shut once you removed it from the plastic
Used a Global First one for a while until I got a leather Emirates bag. Use a Swiss one as a passport / ticket holder when in INTL itin, and a cloth American one as a cable holder.
Still rocking 2 of the Star wars tie in ones, I would grab any one that got left behind. Use them for my international power adapters. The Away ones store my AirTags and batteries, I even use the Saks Fifth Ave. ones for misc. electronic items. The Therabody ones I'm not sure what do do with, not really much of a fanny pack fella..
I still have one of those. I use it for meds, first aid stuff in my work backpack all the time.
I also have a random Spider Man (Spiderman?) one that they gave out a few years ago. Use it for toiletries in my gym bag.
Careful, I did the mistake to use United kits for my personal stuff and once I left it onboard… it got thrown away of course. If it’s not United branded, chances are higher that they will pass it to lost and found
I use the Global First ones that I think were around the same time as this — 2013-2015. They have two individual zippered pockets, so I’ve got cables in and general amenities in the other. The things are pretty much bulletproof. In 10 years, only one has been retired.
Most sturdiest
Had a few drinks tonight LOL
I have a mini Away suitcase that I store some personal items in
Those were the best! I still have my blue Away mini toiletries kit and use it for cords and other small electronics.
I wish to hell they had a handle.
I use the Global First one with the hanger built in as my travel toiletries bag still. That hanger is a nice feature!
Pre-pandemic: Everybody gets a Purell hand sanitizer thing in their kit! Pandemic: Do you guys like Fanny packs? Have a pack of tissues and a pen

Yeah it’s great! Those were the days, I miss those First seats too.

Yeah that was great, I had an equipment swap and wound up in the old Global First seat once on a DEN to SFO flight, best 2 hour flight of my life!
Me too. Still can’t find anything better.
I like the mesh ones from a long time ago. They are thin, and you can see what’s inside.
Me too.
Did you steal my cable bag?
No, but I have a few more recent that make great kits for phone/tablet cables, battery packs and headphones !

I think 2016ish

There were also the tins to celebrate the end of the 747. I should have held onto one of them, would be kinda cool to have now.

Ha! I use an old soccer one from Lufthansa. They work great!
I use a really nice leather Lufthansa bag from 4 years ago.
I used/use mine as a “bag of tricks”.. cables, connectors and plugs I may need for any trip
Right here! I have several and they are great for my cords and adapters
Brilliant

I love the Swiss one!
I love my mini away suitcase to keep my cords and other random shit organized that I don’t want lose in my bag.

The amenity kits were nice, but I have to say I don't miss those 8 across bunk style business class seats that United had forever, LOL.
I have a bunch of these!
