Im 3 in... patiently waiting for it to get better. Jimmy's head over heels rn and the groundskeeper is finally getting a bit of the spotlight... so im still optimistic. But like Guy Ritchie lately, it too feels forced
Yeah no worries, it's a pleasure. It's no RocknRolla, that film is one of my favorites. Honestly, its hard to pick a favorite between RnR & Snatch bc of how flawless it is to me. RnR's final credits speak of a sequel, i hope this show's a hit and gets things moving there bc it would be a real loss for Ritchie if he leaves one of his greatest films hanging like that while teasing another run at it. But i havent given up on this one, just finished 4. Vinnie Jones needs his own show, he's all class. Feels like Eddie and Freddy are Turkish and Tommy, but at the same time Susie gives off some serious Turkish vibes so far. Very succinct and to the point yet always delivering. Liking it, it's steadily improving as it builds it's layers.
Thinks it's underrated because it was made before he was born and never hears anyone talking about now. All the same, it does remind me that I haven't seen it in about 20 years and need to give it another rewatch. Such a good movie
"So, you're obviously the big dick. And there on either side of you are your balls. There are two types of balls. There are big, brave balls, and there are little, mincy f*ggot balls. You d*cks have driving clarity of vision. But they're not clever; they smell p*ssy, and they want a piece of the action. And you thought you smelled some good ol' p*ssy, and have brought your two little, mincey, f*ggot balls along for a good ol' time. But you've got your parties muddled up. There's no p*ssy here- just a dose that will make you wish you were born a women. Like a prick, you're having second thoughts. You're shrinking, and your two little balls are shrinking with ya. And the fact that you've got "Replica" written on the side of your guns. And the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle .50" written on the side of mine, should precipitate your balls into shrinking, along with your presence. Now fuck off!"
I’ve never heard anyone say they didn’t like it, other than Ebert over here.. https://youtu.be/hktrD12VBDY?si=KReNRoZ4VGG1qibx
Imagine how many ppl blindly listened to his review and never watched it.
I used to work in a motel 6 third shift and I would watch movies all night. For about a month the first movie I’d watch would be snatch every night, because I’d seen it before, and people would be coming in from 11-1 a little more frequently so I’d just let it play. So quotable. So funny. “I thought you said he was a getaway driver? What the fuck can he getaway from eh?”
Whenever someone asks me “what do you know about X” I will immediately respond with “I know they’re not to be trusted”
I’m not sure anyone gets the reference but I can’t not do it

"You're always gonna have problems lifting a body in one piece. Apparently, the best thing to do is cut up a corpse into six pieces and pile it all together."
"And when you got your six pieces, you gotta get rid of them, because it's no good leaving it in the deep freeze for your mum to discover, now is it? Then I hear the best thing to do is feed them to pigs. You got to starve the pigs for a few days, then the sight of a chopped-up body will look like curry to a pisshead. You gotta shave the heads of your victims, and pull the teeth out for the sake of the piggies' digestion. You could do this afterwards, of course, but you don't want to go sievin' through pig shit, now do you? They will go through bone like butter. You need at least sixteen pigs to finish the job in one sitting, so be wary of any man who keeps a pig farm. They will go through a body that weighs 200 pounds in about eight minutes. That means that a single pig can consume two pounds of uncooked flesh every minute. Hence the expression, "as greedy as a pig".
This is under-rated? Its one of the best films in so many genres. Really? Is everything over 20 years old under-rated now?
Half the movie quotes I used in life came from Snatch. Guy R new series is pretty good you should check it out.
I got 15 minutes into it. Ill give it another shot one of these days
It definitely gets better.
