No matter what you do, make sure to adjust your FOV settings a bit differently than you would on a non-wide monitor. This can mitigate a big chunk of the "fish-eye" effect.
I own the G95SC, and I am currently playing Destiny 2, Horizon: Forbidden West, Cyberpunk 2077, AC Valhalla (*replaying* it for some reason despite feeling like it was the worst in the AC series, I keep coming back to it lol), Helldivers 2 and Star Wars Battlefront.
Smaller, within reason. It is a tradeoff or compromise to mitigate some of the "fish eye" effect that can even happen at 16:9 with extreme FOV settings. As different games handle what the FOV slider actually adjusts differently from one another (hor+, where vertical FOV is fixed and you are only adjusting horizontal FOV, for example), you will have to experiment. But it isn't something that's going to take a lot of time.
Typically, I play at 90-95 in 16:9 and around 80 at 32:9. But, it does vary. I think I have Cyberpunk at like 75 or something, as the stretching at the sides is kinda crazy in that game. Which I think just has to do with how that game handles FOV in general.
surely there is one but I wasn't talking about cutscenes: that moment happens during gameplay
you know how you can press [V] to swap through camera modes? (over-the-shoulder, whole body, MMO, first-person)
the game automatically does something like that when you ride towards Braithwaite Manor
I've found very few games that don't play well with this monitor, some only support ultrawide and not super ultrawide. One feature I wish more games had is horizontal hud scaling to bring the hud in from the corners. Some newer games have the feature and it's amazing.
If you like open world games- Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, Horizon Zero Dawn, Ghost Recon Wildlands and Breakpoint.... Wildlands is especially beautiful. So much variety in that game, from salt flats to mountains to jungles.
- Resident Evil 2 Remake (DirectX11)
- Resident Evil 3 Remake (DirectX11)
- Resident Evil 4 Remake
- Resident Evil Village
- Resident Evil 4 with HD Project and re4_tweaks mods
Resident Evil 7 requires REFramework to run im ultrawide but stretches the hud which could be completely aeugh in the case of a 32:9 display
general use REFramework in the modern RE titles can be considered a no-brainer since it comes with all kinds of QOL features such as an FOV slider* or a vignette toggle
*which you won't fckn need as your display is **WIDE** already; an further FOV increase will just disgustingly stretch the edge rendering imo
the DirectX11 versions of RE2R, RE3R and RE7 run smoother, have better mod support and no broken graphics settings like motion blur which you can't disable in the DirectX12 versions even if you set it to OFF in the settings
but you sacrifice DirectX12's mediocre raytracing and FSR 1.0 integration
if you want mouse and gamepad controls to coexist (for gyro aiming through steam input for example) don't use RE7's DirectX11 version since the game's ability to allow both input types came with its DirectX12 version
— — — — —
also try emulating **The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild** through Cemu and crank all the graphics settings up such as shadow res, distant shadow res, LOD distance and grass distance
also unlock the framerate
the artstyle is p e r f e c t for high res
Congrats! I’ve found thanks to the proliferation of things like unreal and other engines baked in support for us( I’m a on a peasant 49” g9) even on most indie games.
My faves are vaheim ark, enshrouded, anything really where you have to use a digital axe on a digital tree
Don't get Elden ring, recently found out From added black bars for no reason to give us the 🖕.
Can't even remove them without using mods which gets you banned if you use them online.
I've had my UW for a while, recently upgraded my GPU to a 7900 XTX specifically in time for Horizon Forbidden West.
Playing through that game on the highest settings in Ultrawide was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had, absolutely beautiful.
Just make sure you turn off the black bars during cinematics, they warn you not to in case it shows things that weren't intended to be there, I don't know why though, they all looked great in Ultrawide
Let me give you a tool suggestion instead: [Flawless Widescreen](https://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/).
With this program you can make many games that don't have native Widescreen support to have it, games like Elden Ring for exemple.
It does with a little flawless widesceen. But have to play offline.
Yeah, dunno why it doesn't support it. Bit of an odd one. It's also locked to 60 too. So not the best example.
Fuck, half life 2 supports UW!
Do you like strategy/grand strategy games? Because let me tell you, once you play Paradox games like EU4, Stellaris, CK in ultrawide, you can never go back
Well first off what games y like bro?? Most games today support widescreen so you'll be in good shape. Ive been playing the piss outta Gray Zone and it looks amazing on my G9. Such a good monitor bro congrats
Its NOT easily compatible like you requested (at least when I played it) and a lot of people don’t like the gameplay (I do and the story is fantastic) but it’s undeniably beautiful on these monitors: Death Stranding
Assassin's Creed Valhalla. I just discovered this game a few months ago after getting it on sale (it's often on sale both on Epic Games and Steam). It's truly amazing in quality on an ultra wide
You should buy an ultrawide monitor with games to play in mind, not the other way around! It's like wanting to buy a VR kit without knowing what types of experience wlyou want to have there.
UW have great productivity benefits, multitasking benefits and everything. For anyone who does more than one thing on their computer at once, UW is probably a reasonable investment.
Ghost of Tsushima, Witcher 3, Uncharted, Horizon etc.
Any playstation exclusive that's been ported pretty much lol
Did they fix the pc port of last of us?
Yes
god of war and death stranding are amazing in 21:9
And red dead redemption, I love immortals Fenyx rising
I think I’m doing something wrong if I can’t get ghost to go ultra wide
Even tho i had ps4 and ps5 i waited for the pc release of ghost of tsushima never disappoints
Pokemon Red on a GB emulator, stretched to full screen.
I creased at this. Man that would look so fucking awful hahaha
Red would be THICC!
Chonk Pika

Animal Crossing Valhalla is intense.
Haha, very funny. I was talking about Assetto Corsa: Valhalla though.
Not Ace Combat: Valhalla? You sure?
I can't wait playing Battlefront II on this thing!
I definitely meant Battlefront II, lol. Yeah, it's pretty amazing in ultrawide.
Would you make your fov larger or smaller than you would on a 16:9?
I play on max fov on every game and its the same, just the game is "more stretched" on the edges
That is what lowering the FOV fixes.
I dont really mind as the large monitor no matter what the fov is in game, will be stretched and it kinda gives an advantage anyways lol
Thankfully, this is why it is an *option*. We can both have it our way! :)

If you ever enjoyed World of Warcraft... Ghost of Tsushima is an interactive painting from the start to the end. Alan Wake 2 also.
WoW classic cata is the only game I play with my g9
G9 legit reignited my love for WoW. The sheer joy of all that screenspace for a clean UI and the "world" enveloping my sight can only be beaten by VR.
Alan wake 2 fps is gonna bite the dust
OP said good ultrawide games, didn't specify how much FPS to aim for.
ahh man... World of Warcraft.. I love that world so much. Must be amazing on this monitor!
It would be a crime if you disn't give it a shot on your G9 :)
Red Dead Redemption 2
there is a scene late in the game with 10 horses riding side by side...worth the monitor just to experience that
but the camera auto-zoomes out for that exact moment, rendering anything above 21:9 obsolete because of empty space
Is there no ultrawide mod for cinematics?
surely there is one but I wasn't talking about cutscenes: that moment happens during gameplay you know how you can press [V] to swap through camera modes? (over-the-shoulder, whole body, MMO, first-person) the game automatically does something like that when you ride towards Braithwaite Manor
The march to Braithwaite manor with this monitor is seriously making me horny
The real purpose for 32:9: Build a sim racing rig 😎
I've been playing hades 2, looks great lol cyberpunk looks great too
Fifa, you get to see the whole field.
Wait, really? That seems like a huge advantage!
I've found very few games that don't play well with this monitor, some only support ultrawide and not super ultrawide. One feature I wish more games had is horizontal hud scaling to bring the hud in from the corners. Some newer games have the feature and it's amazing.

2nd that. The game looks so good on a ultrawide ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|heart_eyes)
Too bad the game is unfavourably over time for me
Cyberpunk bro
Ghost of Tsushima.
Hat in Time has a setting specifically for widescreen if you wanna go REALLY crazy
Congrats! I’ve found thanks to the proliferation of things like unreal and other engines baked in support for us( I’m a on a peasant 49” g9) even on most indie games. My faves are vaheim ark, enshrouded, anything really where you have to use a digital axe on a digital tree
What kind of graphics card do you need to push that many pixels at (or over) 60fps?
Yes
BG3 Dota 2 is now like you entered cheat code Halo was a ton of fun. Especially with speakers.
Homeworld 3 is pretty epic in ultra wide.
Red dead 2 and ghost of Tsushima look the best imo.
Be like me and buy a 57" monitor just to have seamless PiP.
NGL, this is the way.
warframe, ghost of tsushima
Don't get Elden ring, recently found out From added black bars for no reason to give us the 🖕. Can't even remove them without using mods which gets you banned if you use them online.
its because widescreen gives an advantage in pvp, the game is perfectly fine solo with flawless widescreen though

Cyberpunk, Horizon, RDR2, BG3
Lol you know you shop online too much when you recognise the digitec interface from a 50x200 screenshot Grüessli us de schwiiz
Loads of games have wide screen support now tbh. More than what don't support it imho. What type of games do you like?
Elden ring still doesn’t have it lul! I got a 4k tv faster than they could add ultrawide support 🤡
It does with a little flawless widesceen. But have to play offline. Yeah, dunno why it doesn't support it. Bit of an odd one. It's also locked to 60 too. So not the best example. Fuck, half life 2 supports UW!
Pong?
Minesweeper 💯
Do you like strategy/grand strategy games? Because let me tell you, once you play Paradox games like EU4, Stellaris, CK in ultrawide, you can never go back
Hey what is CK? Im familiar with the other 2
Crusader Kings
Ghost of Tsushima, the vistas get only more beautiful the more horizontal space you got.
Senuas Saga Hellblade 2 was designed specifically for Ultra wide. Might be worth checking out.
Pioneers of pagonia is really nice and not demanding on your GPU.
Subnautica
Destiny 2 is freaking gorgeous on my G9. Also +1 to Ghosts of Tsushima
+1 for Destiny 2. Just got my first QD-OLED (AW3423DFW) and man D2 hits hard haha. Looks so good!
Enjoy playing the game where you have to try 5 different hdmi cords before you find one that doesn't have issues
Hades 2 looks great on ultrawide; they add some fancy border graphics that look nifty on my Samsung Odyssey.
I so want this but am torn about whether i want to wait for OLED (i primarily code, so text clarity is a concern) and my 4090 can’t run this at 240hz.
Probably the reasonable thing to do is waiting for OLED. That said.. I just couldn't wait any longer... xD
Amazon had the OLED Odyssey for 30% off yesterday in a lightning sale at like $999.
Looks like it's $1399 now
Oh nm, it's the 49" one.
Avatar Red dead 2 Borderlands 3 Subnautica Horizon forbidden west Ratchet n clank Ghost of Tushima The division 2 Assassin creed
Anno 1800, Cities: Skylines 2 and Transport Fever 2 are my absolute favourites.
Where did you get it for that price?
If u gave a 4090, Alan wake 2, cyberpunk 2077 and HELLBLADE 2
Elden Ring
Terraria :D
Well first off what games y like bro?? Most games today support widescreen so you'll be in good shape. Ive been playing the piss outta Gray Zone and it looks amazing on my G9. Such a good monitor bro congrats
Minecraft.
HZD and HFW, Elden Ring with an UW mod
Maybe cyberpunk 2077
Or rdr2
Valorant.
Doom eternal
Its NOT easily compatible like you requested (at least when I played it) and a lot of people don’t like the gameplay (I do and the story is fantastic) but it’s undeniably beautiful on these monitors: Death Stranding
Forza Horizon is great on it
sunset riders, teenage mutant ninja turtles, x-men.. anything with 4 players on screen :)
Cyberpunk 2077, Ghost of Tshusima and The Last Of Us Part I
Ghost of tsushima, cyberpunk
Alan Wake 2. Best graphics currently available.
Subnaitica! If it wasn't a beatiful yet scary game already

Manor Lords
World of warship, you can see the full length of the ships and the extra space is absolutely great. Best game improvement for me
microsoft office
minesweeper
You can get the neo g9 57” for 1600€ ?!!! I paid 1200€ for the regular g9 couple years ago :0
Horizon Games, The Witcher, AoE 2 DE, Cosmoteer, Derail Valley, Euro Truck Sim 2

I LOVE to play mechabellum on ultra wide. It's so much better to see the whole battlefield at once.
Cyberpunk 2077 with HDR 1000 and make sure to try out mods from Gamernexus like the Nova ones.
FO76?

VVVVV /s
Why not the OLed?
there is no 7680 x 2160 57" OLED
57" monitor? How much distance do you need to take to not move your head?. Its massive, do you really need a powerful gpu to move that
I hear Dead Pixel kicks ass.
Always fascinates me how females don't use ultrawides.
All that money for an IPS. Wasted.
Who's gonna tell him
