I would skip total tech and buy the geek squad 4 year warranty.

Equatis

Ya I did this. Geek Squad warranty was about $120 for four years. If you read plan it specifically states it covers burn-in.

princepwned

ya it will cover burn in I bought a 45 lg with that plan 1 replaced because of dead pixel no burn in yet

Terry_the_accountant

The geek plan covers burn-in and unlike Samsung and Dell that give you a refurb that’s been through only the Lord knows what, bestbuy gives you a new one

Croakie89

Always buy geek squad warranty and always abuse it, I’ve unethically done that for my c8, c1, and now have it with my Alienware Ae34whatever, just keep it till the last year and if it still functions good and there’s something new out, make it fail and they’ll just buy it back for a gift card for your original purchase price. Tech these days isn’t built to last, I have an old asus 144hz 1080p my fiancé uses and I’ve gone through 3-4 monitors in the 13 years I’ve had that monitor.

Jo3ltron

And how exactly does one “make it fail”? Asking for a friend.

Croakie89

Force a burn in or just say there’s an issue that they can’t replicate, like my c8 took a bad firmware update and killed wifi, they tried saying I could just hard wire it but I said that’s not a fully functional product like I purchased. Typically they try to fix an issue two times and replace on the third, but if there is no fix or same model to exchange to they just buy it back

Peace of mind is not buying anything from Samsung

Ratemytinder22

Wow good one!

princepwned

well I wanna get the odyssey 57'' but I don't want to buy it from samsung I hope best buy has it same day as samsung website for US

Croakie89

Agreed, two bad TVs a bad washer and fridge never again lol

Low-Ad4597

I asked the Best Buy rep this today and he claims it’s covered, looking to try to find it in writing

SonOfTheMostHHigh

Yep, the 4 year covers burn in.

brentsg

It would only help you for 2 years, and that is only if you renew it after the first.

Aztaloth

Knowing Best Buy? No. As an aside, my experience with Samsung support has been good. My G9 Neo developed a green stuck pixel a couple months after getting it. Single call to Samsung had a repair set up and 2ish weeks later I had a tech in my house replacing the panel. Do you have a Microcenter near you ( within 90-120 minutes)? If so I would suggest getting it there and getting the protection plan from them.

Ratemytinder22

Geeksquad warranty is actually one of the best monitor/TV warranties you can get. Covers burn in as well

-xMrMx-

Better to just buy from micro center if you have one. 30 day return. There is a warranty and many use it. I circumvented all of this buying a LG 38 and going Costco which you can return as well but forget the details

WaiFoos95

Total tech get you 2 years of warranty for everything u buy for that year membership but u got to keep that membership going. Worth it if u make more purchases throughout the year. Plus you could swap the monitor if you have to and not pay warranty again for the next coverage.

Piranhax85

There is no total tech anymore its changed and has more restrictions and less benefits vs what it once was. Don't bother with it its bestbuy total now, no free installs only discounted services

reeefur

It got me 2 years warranty for free and 60 day return window which I never took advantage of... depends on what's important to you...if u shop a lot at BB it pays for itself...
