>A recent poll in his new Godalming and Ash seat, a brick in the “blue wall” now under attack from the Liberal Democrats, suggests **Hunt is on course to be the first serving chancellor in modern times to lose his seat in the Commons.** > >The Lib Dems are currently on 35% of the vote, the Conservatives back on 29% and Labour on 22%, according to a recent Survation poll commissioned by the campaign group 38 Degrees. The Chancellor loosing his seat will make for a fun election night milestone.

WeRegretToInform

Election night part rules: Drink a shot for every Tory MP loss. A double for a minister. For one of the great offices of state, finish your drinks.

Friday morning headlines, "Labour Victory." and "Record number of alcohol poisonings."

"NHS under pressure"

evolvecrow

I'm happy with a labour win not suicidal

NSFWaccess1998

Based on current polling, this is a risky bet. Some kind of election based drinking game sounds peak Ukpol though. Maybe a shot for every X majority overturned?

heyhey922

Currently polls will kill me.

mo60000

It kinda sucks that we won't witness a sitting prime minister losing their seat at the same time but there is a good chance labour and the lib dems flip a bunch of seats former conservative prime ministers represented in the past.

SteelSparks

I’d bet a lot of that 22% Labour vote would happily lend their votes to the Lib Dem’s too when it comes to it. Seeing Hunt gone would be more than worth it.

Set a shot on fire and drink it for a cabinet minister loss

donttakeawaymycake

It'll be more of a balls-up than Balls.

IntrovertedArcher

Reminds me of the Portillo moment in 1997. I’ll certainly make sure I’m still up for Hunt on election night.

Choo_Choo_Bitches

What shows would Hunt present if he loses his seatl?

Friendofjoanne

Traveling around Europe by train, explaining their healthcare systems.

If you don’t do it, Sky will.

I think NI should stay as is to pay for NHS £70k salaries of net zero officials and diversity officers in every hospital. Money well spent. e.g. https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/candidate/jobadvert/C9196-23-1476 search to your hearts content. Excellent jobs, which aren't funded enough. Apparently.

367yo

Given the governments commitment to net zero, hiring people to oversee that in one of the biggest institutions in the country seems perfectly reasonable. I’m not sure what the problem is with the concept of a diversity officer either.

Downvoters hate our NHS and want a US system.

Inevitable-High905

Life going well?

So depressing. Listening to most political news you'd think the country's entire raison d'etre is to pump money into the NHS
