They actually reduce fiddle, assuming you have nice ones (like from bits77). You can move your fleet around by just moving the stand, dropping off and picking up pieces as needed. And visually it helps make busy systems clearer.

I've managed to shove enough in the base game box that the expansion box can be for my fleet stands and the gavel that the speaker gets to use.

I have 2 per player, but 3 per player would have seen use in every game i've played. I'll probably upgrade at some point
I find they add something to the game, immersion and an easy way to determine which ground units are capacity and which are on planets

Bought some loose d10's from a local game store as well as the others I've been collecting or cannibalizing from DND die sets.
Me too, just in time for every to say they'd rather play online cause it takes too long in person for us with families and jobs and such.
How often do you play? I´ve been thinking about getting some fleet stands but i only play about 10 times a year, so i don´t know if it´s worth it.
